Your art book contains so much incredible work!! I’ve watched a lot of these types of videos and this is easily the most impressive and filled book i’ve seen yet, your passion and talent is very evident. Congrats on the grade!!
I cut a piece of A4 paper in half and do the background the same as I am doing the double page then wait for it to dry and just stick them on the side of the book pages with selotape!! x
@Lia Sophie Hi there ! I absolutely adore your artwork, I was wondering where you would get those plastic sheets you used to cover the pages to stop the smudging and stuff. I'm using hairspray at the moment to try and stop smudging and pencil transfer and stuff but it has its limits 😂
Hi! Thank you so much! You should be able to get them from most craft shops, it's called acetate. If you're in the UK shops like Hobbycraft sell them, or you can also order from amazon x
I would recommend you do lots of observed work and try out lots of different ideas! It's hard to tell without seeing your current work, I'm more than happy to give you more personalised advice if you want to send me some pictures/video of your work! My instagram is art.by_lia xx
+Lia Sophie do you think you could do the same for me? I would really appreciate it because I'm also working at a grade 5 for art and I would really love to get an A/A* for my GCSEs this year
To get a 7+ u need to show pieces of work of a high skill (not all just some work relating to your project) development of ideas using artists as inspiration and try and include various media’s eg biro paint etc... use first hand photos and make sure your evaluation work is strong (I got an 8) but bare in mind it’s going to be different for everyone if I were you look at the examiner criteria and see if you tick all the boxes
Hi, I love your channel! You inspire me to draw and help me a lot with practising. Im in year 8 ( so have a while to go in terms of gcse) but I was wondering if you have any oil pastel tips as I find them sure difficult ?
Thank you so much I'm glad you enjoy my videos! I used to find oil pastels tricky too, I think the biggest tip I can give is to layer your piece! I would use multiple layers of pastels and also use your finger to blend large areas, or a cotton bud for smaller sections x
Lia Sophie yea I guess ahaha but I’m a quarter of my way into my supposed coursework and I decided to restart and change my whole topic last night ahaha xx
I’m in year 10 and doing art right now.its April and my first book was tree themed. Its so horrible!no writing because I don’t know what to say on prices.my teacher is so bad.any help?
Writing by the picture is very important. If you tel why you did it or just help the person going through your book to follow your idee and help them understand it will help. People want to have a story some sort of meaning behind te art and if you can get them to start there minds rolling it will help you. Start by what midiam it is and why you did it/ what do you think of it.. any thing of the sort.
Hey Lia. Well done on getting an A for AS, thats honestly such a achievement! I wanted to know if there was any way I could please contact you via email or your number( I don't have any other social media besides those) , which ever one is more comfortable for you🤗I am going to be doing both my AS and A level together in one year and didn't have much of an igcse background and our school has never done art at A level and AS was apparently messy. So is there any way I could just ask you about a few things that I need some help with cause your art is amazing and I need some direction😂. I would very much appreciate it cause I am in a Cambridge school in south Africa so we are limited to Cambridge schools, tutors and teachers etc. Again really amazing art!
Dude wtf you're so creative and talented :D
Thank you so much!! x

Hii, where did you buy the plastic protectors??
Hey, you can get them from any craft store such as Hobbycraft, or you can also get them from Amazon x
When you say fineliner and water what does that mean?
I basically drew using black fineliner pen and then used a brush with water to diffuse the ink and kind of blend it out
