  • Hello lovely people!
    I have been saying for ages that I would upload another art sketchbook and I finally got round to uploading it! Really hope you enjoy it, this project was my baby! Also given the current pandemic you probably have hours indoors to paint and draw!
    Have a good day,
    Carina Mae x

      Thank you so much! I'd recommend watching my video about a level art where I talk about managing workload. It's a lot but definitely manageable, as I also studied art and psychology!

      Hey, not sure if you'll see this but I'm currently leaving year 11 and have chosen art, criminology and sociology. How has it been for you? Is it very hard or enjoyable etc.? Would be great to have some insight before I go! :)

      @@_evieharris_ hi! i actually didn’t end up choosing fine art as i switched last minute to geography instead, but i’m sure if you enjoyed gcse you’ll enjoy it as long as you have the motivation and passion! but criminology has been great for me if that’s any help, and college is so much better than school!

    In September I'm doing a level art, graphics and photography. So I'm literally doing all creative subjects which means I will have to make so much stuff, I can't imagine how many hours I'm going to have to spend on all three subjects. I might die with the amount of work so I'm so scaredddd. Seeing your sketchbook has really inspired me though, i love seeing other people's sketchbooks!

      Hey! I do a level art, media, photography and I'm currently working on my own graphics sketchbook for my uni application. It's a lot of work but not impossible! I suggest putting together a timetable early on, getting lots of research out the way early on so you can focus on practical work etc, and never forget to use lots of different techniques. Good luck to you!

    Beautiful artwork carina. I'm predicted an a* in a level art, but don't know for sure due to standardisation with the a level exam results this year, fingers crossed. How's uni at the moment? Love the idea of the final piece, unfortunately I could not do mine, I would have don a 3D element as well. Nice video!

      Do you think I should take AS art if I haven't taken gcse art? I'm also taking math, chemistry and psychology alevels, but don't know whether I'll have enough time for art. Can you give advice please.

    • @CarinaMae
      @CarinaMae  Před 4 lety +1

      @@Clixeezy if you are planning on taking it for AS but not A2, given you cannot now get an AS qualification I think you'd be giving yourself unnecessary extra work. It's a great a level but it's certainly not easy

      Hi, I did a lot of my art coursework in the evenings whilst watching TV at the time of day when you wouldn't necessarily be wanting to do 'book work' but you could still do a lot of drawing etc. Honestly, it was very intense and a big time commitment and you do have to be willing to invest that time if you're going to do art

    What is a level ...?

    • @CarinaMae
      @CarinaMae  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Abigail, A Levels are one of the most common qualifications taken by British students between the ages of 16-18. Most students take three A Level subjects across the two years and these are examined at the end of the second year. The resulting grades can then be used to get a place at university or help determine your career options.

      Hi Joseph, a lot of these piece weren't necessarily from other individuals but as part of the mark scheme you need to have it all linked back to artists, so, even where they didn't influence it, I found a link. Even so, it is only natural that when learning you get inspiration from artists.
