Peter Crouch is a true footballer. Never got into trouble off the pitch. Scored some amazing goals. For his hight he could dribble a good first touch. As a Spurs fan he will always be remembered for scoring the last min goal to put Spurs fourth and get there first CL place. His mind set was really strong too. Always proved people wrong by playing football. Never pulled the poor me card.
And a literal god at Stoke
His highlight reel is gold!
Didnt score enough
@@antonellaluque4532he got a goal contribution every 2.98 games, please be quiet
Couldn't agree more Peter crouch unbelievable footballer his career speaks for itself and people say nice guys don't win this proves otherwise he is currently the most respected and loved x footballer in the media in England
Crouchy has charisma for days
Peter Crouch is one of the most underrated players of all time
The man actually joined the premier league "100 goal" club..unbelievable man
It's great that u said he's one of the most underrated players instead of striker cuz he's much more than a striker
he really isn't
Overrated you mean .
I think he's rated exactly right - sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit
His height was the issue - teammates saw that and assumed he was a target man. But he wasn't. Crouch was incredibly technical with his feet, and a very underrated striker for club and country. Also, he's a really nice guy in real life - I had the pleasure to bump into him once at an event in London - and really funny.
Had the pleasure of meeting Peter crouch at a charity do. Incredibly down to earth and VERY funny.
if he had normal height he would've had many goals
@@AbdeGOAT33 and if my grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike.
sure you did
@@jimbobbby What i wasen't hating on him or someshit
It's weird to say but I was almost I tears watching this because Peter Crouch seems like a genuinely kind-hearted person and got treated like rubbish too often.
I'm proud he succeeded. Thank you for telling his story hermano
watch his docu, came out couple of months ago
Indeed
I am a bit disappointed that you never said Liverpool fans always had Crouch's back. He even says that when he wasn't scoring in his first 15 games they still defended him.
the best football fans itw
@@alphonsoralte4371 yeah exactly mate
necause he can't. He's 10x better in the midfield@@alphonsoralte4371
We back our own players. And Crouch did his best. That was enough for us.
@@saikatkar4452 youll never walk alone unless your name is Loris Karius hahah
One of my favourite players of all time. Games to goals ratio for England was incredible. A technician of a player and so underrated!!! In the champions league for Spurs he was incredible and untouchable
Yeah wonderfull skill in scoring that goal against trinidad and tobago . pulling down a player by the dreadlocks and scoring a header . what a loser clown of a player .
@@marcusfranconium3392 GOAAAAALLLL LAZZZIOOOOO!!!!!!
@@Bumchats And that means what . Crouch was so horrible he only scored 227 goals in 772 games , as a striker . Ronald Koeman scored 253 goals in 763 games.
Big difference Koeman was a center back Crouch a striker. how big of a loser as a sriker are you if your goal average is worse than a defender.
@@marcusfranconium3392 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
An almost unique achievement. Crazy scoring record for England. Technically talented and an excellent team player but not prolific as a striker in the Premiership.
Nobody deserves the abuse that Crouch got, he was magnificent, it's sad that people bully others just for their appearance, even if they're adults😢. One of the most underrated players ever. Thank god that eventually people started to respect him❤.
Tinidad and Tabago goal says it all. pathetic loser .
Magnificent 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 knob head
Maguire too
@@iamnanirandom2158 Maquire is awful
Crouch had two valuable and under-appreciated skills.1) He made other people play. Any of his teams would improve their football in the final third of the pitch. He would do the hard work as well as making the reliable decision. 2) Defenders around the world would see him for the first time and panic because they had zero training about how to defend against a giraffe. Especially a giraffe with a great first touch.
I'm glad Crouch is a Liverpool legend. I've always watched him score some unforgettable goals for us at Anfield.
Clubs been blessed we some of the best players ever imho
YNWA ✌️
I was the only one in my friendship group who rated him and took some ribbing for it. They were all strangely quiet the night after he scored a hattrick for England against Jamaica 😂
Something a lot of people forget about Crouch is that because of his stature and the way he played he would consistently get penalized by referees and often defenders would take to just diving and fouling him in duels and he'd always get the calls given against him. Most famous example of this is probably the CL match between Spurs & Milan where he went up against 2 world class CBs at the time and absolutely dominated them but every single time the referee would call him for fouls. Oh and the red card against Madrid which wasn't a red
I had forgotten about this. You are absolutely correct. He often got free kicks against him just for being tall when he challenged for headers as though his elbows were high but that's just where they were due to his height.
@@Bleech606 Yeah this was pretty much what happened every time. That or he just wouldn't need to jump so defenders would just fall over after initiating contact. He did deserve the 2 yellows vs Madrid though I'm just a Spurs fan
in 2011? Those CBs were not world class in the slightest aha
@@kaihiggins725 Ah yes because Prime age Thiago Silva & Nesta aren't world class players
@@mashfnch30 ah yes a 35 year old Nesta & a 27 year old Thiago Silva (his prime wasn’t until his mid 30s btw) year deffo world class. Had the world trembling it did 🙄
Never realized how good he was, definitely recommend watching the documentary about him, crazy the abuse he got for his height.
No need to. Most of us saw Peter Crouch playing during his career.
@@miamitten1123 still a good documentary regardless
He's big, he's red, his feet stick out the bed he's Peter Crouch, he's Peter Crouch!
YNWA lad.
Up the reds! 🚩
His my fav player of all time we won't see a player like him for a long time
As someone who liked football and was really tall 194-195. This hit hard.
I was the best set piece taker in my class but outside of that nothing. They'd always pick someone short or you have to be a goal keeper. I also got a lot of play basketball instead even tho no one in my class was interested in basketball.
I quit and joined 100 to 400m race.
They didn't even pick you for CB?
Craaaaaaazy
It's sad that when you're young, people just look at you and go "Oh, well, according to the way your body looks, you should play this position, so you're going to play that." It often doesn't matter what you're naturally talented at, you don't get the chance because of your body. I used to play a lot of American football when I was young. I was relatively tall for my age and a bit heavier than others, so people saw me and went "Oh, you have to play lineman." It didn't matter that I didn't have the physical strength for that kind of position, I was just the tall heavier kid. But when I got a chance to play away from the line, I kept showing people that I naturally played wide receiver and could keep up with almost anyone we played, or I could play linebacker or even defensive back and cover and tackle anywhere and still defend/intercept passes. But then it'd be a week or two later and a different group of people and it was back to having to play line against guys who were like 30kg heavier than me and significantly stronger.
@@JimTheFly Yep, height isn't necessary to dictate the way you play. I used to play as a defender or even defensive midfielder but I was pretty much the shortest and should be played as a striker instead. However, the thing is, I have no agility as one, let alone finishing touch or composure against the others. And instead, I can deal with players that are bigger by a sliding tackle, sometimes intercept the ball to then start the build-up from behind with a simple pass.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@kohikappujavier mascherano is 170 cm so its fine
Those who bullied Crouch never understood the game!
Striker, gentleman, legend to those who struggle every day!
One of my favourite players. That perfect HT against the Gunners was a thing of beauty.
I remember the drought at the start of his Liverpool spell, and I also remember the way the fans were right behind him, all through that drought, and we were all delighted when that first deflected goal ballooned in.
Thanks for the memories Crouchie!👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was a Haaland before Haaland .. definitely set the blueprint for modern day strikers
He was a man out of time. He was born too early. Imagine if he played under a coach like Guardiola who would actually give him the opportunities and teammates to compliment him instead of bullying him.
Haaland is so tall yet can't control his own head 😂
Peter Crouch: The dream that came true, yet no one wanted to see it ❤
Wow!!!Peter Crouch is one of my favourite respective footballer who is a lanky player who was totally an underrated player who did have his main spells with Southampton,Liverpool,Tottenham Hotspur,Portsmouth and Stoke City despite not having a good spell with his other respective teams, good friends!!!Harry Rednapp sir was a mentor for him to enhance his career and his willpower were the reasons why he became one of the best of his own, good friends!!!LONG LIVE,BOSS!!!🏋♂️
Thanks for doing this video ❤ you really know how to present the players as people and always tugs at the heart stings. Awesome and one of my favourite videos so far!
My favourite Crouch goal from memory was him taking a Beckham cross on the chest and volleying it while in full stride for England... I can't remember the opposition but the goal stuck in my mind as being of fantastic quality that highlighted his skill as well as Beckham's.

as a spurs fan, I love crouchy will never forget him getting us into Champions league with that goal against city. Legend and a proper down to earth guy. You can try to hate him but its hard.
Nice job. Really enjoyed documentary I recently saw on his life and career. Proof that nice guys don't always finish last.
Thank you, Daily Dose Of Football. Your videos are the most in depth and well put together of their kind on CZcams, and when I watch them I always learn something new! 🙏
crouch was really really something! greetings from Turkey to this legend striker...
One of Stoke's best, honestly one of the best at every single club he's played at. Peter Crouch is the single most underrated player of all time, and should be a household name among all, not just football fans.

Crouchy is a national treasure. Severely underrated on the pitch, and he's an absolute sweetheart of a person. A true gentle giant of a man.
crouchy has to be one of the most love footballers in the uk, he's a great guy and a really good player, those goals for liverpool and stoke are two of the best you will ever see done by a man who is 2 meters tall, it's insane how technically good crouch was
Brilliant video, yet again! So well made.
Crouchy was one of my favorites back in the day! 🙂

I love your stories man for footballers they're so inspiring it gives me hope that my life may turn around, and maybe the lives of other footballers who struggling at the moment maybe inspired too. Thank you ❤
An unexpected classic, great video man 💪

Go on Pete ! You're determination knows no bounds !
A true entertainer ! 💙
once more one of the most beautiful videos of this beloved sport... Muito obrigado.
Dude thank you for making this video! Got me in ny feels a bit to be honest, i was 190 by the time i was 16, apart from the physical pain of growing that fast lets just say this didn't make life easy especially in a country where the average height of men is 165, it also didnt help that my big bro was phenomenal at football and i was expected to be too (i am terrible) its funny cz Crouch was my nickname on the pitch we kinda do that here we give guys a nickname of a famous player depending on how they look or play.
But ye dude this hit home hard, i love your content man! Keep em coming!
DDOF and Raymar Football never fail to upload on the same day
One of THE most underrated players. People always used to say the cliched summary “ great first touch for a big bloke, “ but it was so true. He was misunderstood because he was perceived to be a target man because of his height, when he was actually the cultured out-and-out striker who was also a great technician. Something shown up in his fantastic goal tally.
as a spurs fan, that goal against city is an iconic moment in our club. legend.
Thanks for putting that together. Great story.
Bro only wanted to hear "Yes son, you can do it" throughout his career but only got looked down upon. Yet he did it, the best he could, that best being scoring more goals than Bergkamp and providing more assists than Scholes.
Imagine his true Potential. Highly underrated player.
Peter Clutch is a legend.
I truly enjoyed this video, thanks man
You keep delivering bangers! Well done!
Lovely tribute to a guy that probably deserves more. He definitely didn't get enough credit for his England career.
Crouch is a national treasure to the English at this point. Fantastic intelligent player and very underrated in terms of technique. He's also very funny guy with a very likeable personality.
Crouchey is a players player.
I was gutted when he retired from internationals.
Yes he looked gimmickey, but he had a heart of gold and a sense of humour.
Brilliant video as always. He actually did the robot for the first time in a 6-0 friendly win against Jamaica at Old Trafford in England's farewell match before they travelled to that year's World Cup.
Thanks for the video mate, as usual high quality and brilliant story, can you do a video on costacurta?😊
Peter Crouch's playstyle was unique and that is mainly because of his height
The background music had me hooked to the videos… we need it back.
Crouchy! he's the rare breed of players that you just can't simply hate, even if he's scoring against your team 🤣
but yea,one has to wonder if only he's a bit shorter, like 180 to 190cm his goal tally might be increased more. the thing about the lad was he get a lot of fouls called against him especially during scuffle for headers,he's just that tall that when he challenge for the ball in the air,the defenders often got elbowed or slapped on their face by his lanky frame, inviting whistle.
Then again, glad he's such a meek and non-confrontional player by nature, imagine the nightmare if he has a temper like Pepe 😅🤣
Everyone loves the guy, also have you seen his wife? That mans done well. Guy is genuinely lovely, everyone I know whose met him say how much of a nice guy he is.
Agent: Peter, sit down, I have some news.
Crouch: I am sitting down…
Agent: Oh…
Everything is temporary but "so listen to this" is permanent.

Wow, lots of respect to this legend, my big bro used to talk about this guy, such a legend
brought tears to my eyes , all it takes is a manager to believe in you and work with you for you to become truly remarkable
A humble guy ....who deserved his success for laughing things off and being persistent.....good feet for a big man....
He played with my brother as a youth for West Middlesex Colts (green kit), guy was phenomenal but also weirdly skinny…. Scored goals by the dozen.
Seems like a well rounded individual, his parents did a great job raising him, he’s humble, willingly makes jokes at his own expense which ultimately disarm critics and haters (smart play).
❤
I have alwyas like Peter Crouch. Man went through so much hell but his perseverance has pain off. Such a nice guy 😊
Now he's a loved pundit and a national treasure. Done good there lad.
Thanks for this.
being a Liverpool fan I was actually pleased we signed him. lovely man as well as a very good player
Thumbnail 'Peter Crouch' made to look like a 2000's heartthrob.
A legend and loved by most fans in all clubs. Scored some great and very important goals for club and country. Im sure every football fan understands how good Crouchy was. He also comes across as a very nice bloke. Him and his missus, they are a lovely couple. There isnt only Kane and Lineker returned more goals than Crouchy. Im not sure he is in the top 10.
Excellent video!
He was so tall he often had to crouch to get through doors. That's Peter.
I love this channel
Peter crouch is one of my fav player. Respect! ❤️❤️
Crouch was the kind of player that you looked at him, he looked like he was doing it all wrong but somehow it worked. If he had the support he needed and the confidence from the start, maybe he could have been even better.
He was and remains a legend. Just a top top lad. Love him to bits.
Technically excellent player. Great balance and technique. To top it all off he is a genuinely nice guy.
Loved him at Pompey, absolute legend
Good stuff nice video
Great story of overcoming adversity 💪
The girl literarily changed his life, that's what every guy needs, not a liability

Great finisher and genuinely funny nice guy
The thumbnail of Crouchie is very generous and flattering 🤣

You should do a video on Ashley Cole or Chris Waddle next mate 👊🏻.
For the record, I always rated Crouch. You thought he would be a one game player (lets be blunt, headers), but he had an amazing touch, foresight, and skill. He was an excellent striker. It was just a bonus that he was tall. If he was only 6" he still would've been an excellent striker. Don't get me wrong his gangly style looked weird but it was still awesome.
Loved the guy. Sublime and funny.
Liverpool fans loved him. He had a really bad start there and didn’t get his first goal for fifteen games. They never got on his back and always supported him and had his back (Crouch said this himself).
