@@ThisIsMyRodrick him and De Gea were the only players, in that club, that were actually trying to win and were actually frustrated with the defeats, the rest of the players didn't care and, as soon as Ronaldo started to howl at them in the locker room, they rather destroy him with the club than to work for improvement, with the coach on their side it was easy for them and Ronaldo and De Gea ended up sacked, isn't that funny?

Cristiano is, in my opinion the greatest footballer of all time, the true GOAT of the beautiful game. He holds almost all important records, top goal scorer in all football history, same at national teams level with more than 120 goals for Portugal, miles ahead of everybody else. There's good reasons for him to be called mr. Champions League. And it's not just his record numbers of goals and assists, but when those clutch performances happen, making Ronaldo the most decisive player ever in knock-out rounds, all competitions included. Beyond that, the plastic beauty and athleticism of so many of his goals and performances place him in a class uniquely of his own. A true GOAT.

I agree with this 100%. Every. Word.
I remember talking about this with a friend of mine from Portugal a year ago, he used the exact same sentiment. People love to see a hero fall. My words verbatim were that, "Ronaldo is like Ragnar, or Batman." I was simply referencing history/fiction and how true what my friend was saying really is.
He hasn't even retired yet, and people already forget the heights this man has reached.
I too never doubted this man, save for 2022. And I too feel bad for ever doubting him, but I will be honest, I also thought it was over as the narrator mentions.
I just have to say that I saw the look on Ronaldo's face during frustrating moments on the pitch, even that shrug after saving the day in the Champion's League... all the evidence was there and even if I didn't understand it yet, I saw that something was happening.

That team that “dominated” the 20/21 season and came second lost their spot at the top of the league to Man City by losing to Sheffield United who were 20th at the time at Old Trafford. Had to pull off multiple miraculous comebacks to win games and did all this while playing in empty stadia (yes, fans do have a major impact on footballing performance). This same team got dunked on by Villarreal in the UEL final and had multiple, I mean MULTIPLE chances to win that game. Then in proper United fashion, blamed it on one player (David De Gea) like he was the only one on the pitch. Also, on the back end of that season they were taking solid Ls from teams like Liverpool and Leicester and struggling to have more than a one-goal win against Wolves.
Fast forward to 21/22, opening day, we tear Leeds our rivals a new one by dunking 5 on their head at Old Trafford. Supposed to be a team with fluid football and chemistry, right? Go watch the next two matches. An undeserved win v Wolves due to a Greenwood miracle and a drab 1-1 draw at Southampton. Zero play style, poor performances all through matches and constant bad results being masked by individual performances.
All in all, I promise you, if Cristiano’s arrival never happened, that 21/22 season woulda seen United end in 10th or lower no matter how you choose to look at it.
Cos you wanna tell me that players like Rashford who covets glory and importance, Bruno who for some reason couldn’t finish big chances to save his life when Ronaldo created for him, an ever inconsistent Martial and a regularly unavailable Cavani woulda carried that team to new heights?
