- 1963 F100 Hydraulic Clutch Conversion:
An issue from the time I bought this truck, was the fact none of the mechanical linkages were on it. They are very hard to find, and I'm not a fan of mechanical setups anyways!
After some brainstorming, I decided to look into hydraulic setups, and think this is going to be a huge improvement for this truck!

"Perfect!" So well timed LOL. Thank you
I'm glad it could help someone! If you have any issues reach out to me!
This is incredibly helpful! I’m rebuilding my 63’ and was just planning on using the original z bar. Not any more. Thank you
I'm glad! It takes some work to figure out how to get it to work with the existing clutch pedal, but it's so much better! I was missing the Z bar and some other linkages to go with the original setup, and they are impossible to find! Let me know how it goes for you!
Nice. I like that master cylinder. The stock ones with the threaded caps always seize up. I've had to break one before just to add fluid in an emergency.
Yeah I had a stuck cap, when I purchased my truck. It took some channel locks to get it off!
This one needed some minor modifications but it worked perfectly! Still works great! And that flip lid retainer is awesome!
Very nice job 👍
Thank you! Still works flawlessly!
Jake, been driving myself crazy with geometry of my stock linkage on my 61 F100, I believe this will solve all my problems. Question I want to keep my 3 speed manual (for now). Did you keep the stock bell-housing or did you have to swap that out to accommodate the slave cylinder for the Y block…. ? Great job by the way !
hey, is there any chance I'd be able to get some pics of the pedal, where you hooked the plunger to?
Yes! How can I send them to you?
@@JakeHarrington do you have instagram?
@@jamesgoolsby. yes! Jake.Harrington.9 I believe
I'd like to get in on that action as well. I have a similar set up in my 62, but didn't install it myself. It needs some troubleshooting. I'd love to see how you set that up
Ware did you get the slave cylinder from ?
The link is in the description of the video! Through Summit Racing! If the link doesn't work, let me know. I can send you something that will work
Hey this was helpful for me because im about to do the same thing with my 1948 Ford F5 short bus that has 1957 312 Y-block. I'm rescuing it from being abandoned. Check it out! 👍 BTW I just subscribed!
That project looks like it's gonna be awesome! Can't wait to see where you'll take the thing!
