  • Keith Jackson never appeared on Late Night, but sportscaster Roy Firestone did. Here are his impressions of Keith on the show:
    1. April 5, 1982: New Dial-It-Services
    2. May 3, 1983
    3. September 7, 1983
    4. November 29, 1984: no Roy Firestone, but a Keith Jackson reference in Viewer Mail
    5. April 12, 1989

So Roy Firestone did the impersonation for the first bit? The wording is almost the same!

Yeah, that was Roy. He also did the "generic baseball announcer" for the New Dial-It-Services a month later, on May 18, 1982, uploaded here: czcams.com/video/di9_S1QGScQ/video.html

I remember when Boy George won the Oscar Wilde 250, the 80's were such a great time for sports.
