    #3,, Larissa did nothing wrong. it is irrelevant if she should be in the "passing lane" or not. The CRV driver is required to check they are making a safe maneuver, period. Anyway, people get way too upset about the passing lane being only for that immediate moments of passing another car. That would mean a lot of cars popping into that lane and then right back in front of the car they passed. Safer is to do that with lots of room.

      @@samkaur4098 They do use breathalyzers and Field Sobriety Test (FST.) The breathalyzer is inadmissable largely because they're unreliable and easily explained away. You can argue you have GERD, so your stomach acid comes up with saliva and distorts results. You used mouthwash or a breath freshening spray just before getting pulled over. Even just consuming a particularly yeasty food or drink can distort results. If the yearly maitenance to keep the machine calibrated wasn't done by the dept, that's also an argument for throwing away those results. Only accurate result comes from blood test, so nowadays breathalyzer and FST is mostly used to see if they need to bring you in for a blood test.
      My guess is this cop just didn't want to deal with it and let the dude off easy. "Eh he won't get in trouble anyway" is a dumb argument.

      4 way stops are first come first go. However, if two drivers stop at the same time, the one to the RIGHT has the "right" of way.... crazy right? lol. Also, as you have described, if two cars going opposite directions stop at the same time, the straight traveling driver has the ROW.

    • @Alan_Clark
      @Alan_Clark Před 3 měsíci +3

      We don't have them in UK either. The major road has priority over the minor road, so there is no confusion. US roads are strange in other ways - double left turns, and freeway on-ramps before off-ramps instead of the other way round.

    • @GReaper
      @GReaper Před 3 měsíci

      @Alan_Clark four way stops are generally on roads considered to be "equal." The equality is commonly physical vs traffic, but not always. In situations where there is clearly a main street and a side street, only the side street has them. We also have double right turns believe it or not, just not many. But we also have wide roads carrying lots of traffic, and when you need to get a lot cars through a light, parallel lanes achieve that without pissing off drivers by extending the length of a red light. The on/off ramps vary from place to place, and are even flipped sometimes depending on the evolution of traffic patterns.

    18 Recapped tire. A new set of treads were "grafted" on to a pre-existing tire to give it a new life. The "re-tread" was not maintained properly and the newer tread separated from the old tire. The old tire retained the air, but the tread fragments flew everywhere and shredded the fender as it flew all over the road.

    • @account4info
      @account4info Před 3 měsíci +1

      I've had a perfect good, almost tire, non recapped come apart in the same fashion as the one in the video. Virgin tires can fail just like a recap, if there is a defect or extreme dry rot.

    @Wham Baam Dashcam , commercial vehicle tires are not changed too often in most companies which own the vehicles, meaning they're extremely cracked, worn dried out and way less flexible than they were new, and when the tread of said tires wears to bare rubber, they detonate at high speeds, which not only violates the D.O.T. laws, it also violates OSHA laws

    • @phillipcleveland5207
      @phillipcleveland5207 Před 3 měsíci +6

      The other driver was changing two lanes at once, without causing in the middle lane. The most likely were not looking when they almost hit the girl driving the car. You cannot believe everything people sing on social media like that. She was not wrong at all the other driver changing lanes was.

    • @GReaper
      @GReaper Před 3 měsíci +2

      In this case, i didn't even consider her being in the passing lane as being an issue for one simple reason: she was maintaining pace with the vehicle in front of her.

    • @Beautifulclouds60
      @Beautifulclouds60 Před 3 měsíci

      Some states even have stretches of road where signs tell semi's to travel in those lanes for a short distance. Mostly because there are on ramps that congest badly at certain times and they don't want large vehicles over there hindering merging on to the freeway.

    Teo's "insurance situation" is probably because his policy was "Third party, fire and theft"...not full comprehensive insurance.
    Teo's car was covered for hitting a Rolls Royce or taking out a house...the damage to "the other party" would be covered.
    Also if Teo's car was set on fire or stolen...he would get a payout.
    BUT Teo's own damages to his own car in a crash are NOT covered....unless he fights the other party's insurance based on the fact that he is "innocent" and needs to "be made whole" again...Teo fights that fight in Court all by himself!
    Teo pays less in premiums...but takes an extra risk.....

    For Williams, trailer swing is an issue. Yes, it is responsibility of trucker to manage it, and for hitting Williams. But hey, was it worth it? Cause interesting we dont see the part cut out where you turn around and chase the truck down to block them all so can have an angry tantrum.

      Lets see if she would have positioned her truck where it should have been there is more than enough room to make that turn easily. I didnt turn around and chase her down, I backed up maybe 50 feet to have a talk with her. Her co-driver was the one hollering and screaming at me, the driver was calm but should have at least let me pull away before she took off. Exactly as the responding officers told her.

    Number 18: This is common for trucks who use re-treaded tires. More done in the south, but the old tire is vulcanized to accept a new tread that is glued to it. When the adhesive releases from too many heat cycles, the tread comes loose like you saw in the video.

    Big commercial tires are more likely to delaminate and have the tread layer completely separate from the tire witch is what I believe happened with the flat bed. That’s why you sometimes see big tread chunks on the side of the highway , atleast I used to all the time as a kid
