Did you guys fix the brightness for when it’s on at night? That’s the main question here. Returned my ILX-F309 cause it was waaayyyyyy to bright at night. Does this keep the OEM NAVIGATION SYSTEM? As well the OEM USB & AUX CONNECTION? can you keep the OEM backup camera for the 2018 4runner?

How does this radio handle vibrations? My truck isn’t the smoothest riding vehicle with it having leaf springs all around plus the roads and even my driveway are rough
So it’s impossible to update the 309s to get this customizable interface?
Had one put in me new Acadia. After the coolness of the display wore off the sound quality was not that good. I had CarToys install new Focal speakers, an Alpine 4 ch amp. Sub Woofer ect It still has noise especially in the vocals ranges.

Anyone know if your vehicle doesn't provide tire pressure readings per tire will this unit offer - display it? I just bought a 19 T4R off road premium and it doesn't come with tire pressure monitoring so was just wondering, yeah it sux for a 19 not to offer it but life's a compromise & we move on. Great vid btw
If your car is Idata compatible, I believe you can access that stuff or at least the new model should.

The screen is a glare magnet. It looks great in the show room but when it's in your car it's a different story. Looks great when viewed straight on but the viewing angle sucks. Very disappointing that Alpine could not do better with a true contrast and brightness control. At times I cannot see the screen with certain sun light.
Beware. Purchased in November so that I could use Apple Car Play in my 2007 Tundra. I’m a contractor and need hands free and navigation. It worked pretty well...it would randomly disconnect and not recognize my iPhone 7 so I would have to shut my truck down and restart (and yes, I have iOS 13 and keep it updated). In December, my wife gave me an iPhone 11Pro to update my iPhone 7...now, CarPlay does NOT work. Audio, glitches out and calls are actually in slow motion (I have NO IDEA how that happens). I have searched numerous blogs and this seems to be a problem with iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max that neither Apple nor Alpine want to address. For a stereo over $800.00, I would have hoped for a better customer experience.
My stereo does the same thing with my iphone 11
For the voice call issues you need to update the firmware on the head unit before it goes back to normal. I had to update mine because of this.
Go to the Alpine USA website and you’ll find the proper update for the head unit. Keep in mind you’ll need a USB drive under 32GB and formatted to FAT32.
Can you play movies or shows on it?

Only providing a 5 band graphic EQ seems very limiting. I would be interested in the through process behind it. It is a deal breaker for me. The w650 has a much better EQ
I could careless how to drag and drop widgets. I wanted to know actual information about the unit how many rca spots, watts pre channel frequency ratings, distortion readings, is there amp out puts, hdmi,sd,usb anywhere. The dimensions of the unit to see if it will fit in the space I have. Little more useful and practical information 💁♀️

I love mine except that it has no OFF button. I work on my own car and sometimes I need the ignition on for troubleshooting and the unit comes on. Sometimes the work can take 30 minutes or more and I have 3 Alpine Amps powering 14 speakers! I know I can install a cut off for the ignition but that means taking my dash apart - on a 2006 Mercedes SL55 - PITA. I wish I would have known this so I could have installed some type of off switch. At this price range, the unit should have an OFF switch! The more expensive F- 309 has an off button. Grrrrrrrr.

I have the 8.4 inch display with the centre console. I looking to add Apple Carplay to my truck but retain as much of the factory stuff like the center console USB, bluetooth phone, etc; using the factory mic.
