I know... I'm late to the party here, but DAYUM!! That was gnarly! I had that kind of trouble, but with the Bearing Race for the same axle. I have my own Volvo C303, and I was rebuilding the front portals. The race was a little loose and could spin, but I could not press it out with my 20 ton press!! So I contacted Permatex and ordered a Sort of Loctite, but for a situation like mine that would lock the Race as best I could. Disk Brake Conversion... Is this still a thing for you guys? I am in the middle of a diesel / Trans / Transfer case swap, plus full rewiring. I would love disk brakes since I will daily drive this again and romp hard offroad! Thanx a mill!
