I switched to Dorman 2" studs. Coarse thread on Hub side, fine thread on lockout side. With stover lock nuts. No big 4wd trips on them yet but Warn also sells their own kit to switch to studs.
I forgot to mention, that the body of the tap is slightly over 3/8" indiameter, so be sure to grind it down a bit so when its going into the counter bore it wont get stuck. Also the counter bore can be done with a 3/8" drill as the hole is already at 3/8", and it guides in real nice, but be sure to set a depth stop, as sometimes the threads will snag the drill, and of course a 3/8" reamer does work best for the job.
Carl coming through with a cure to yet another one of my problems !
