  • Starting a new series of video to help you get tips and tricks on how to develop your own Rally Kit or Nav Tower to turn your enduro bike into either an Adventure bike or Rally bike. I don't know when the next episodes will come out as Dakar is close so don't expect episode 2 soon. Here more info to both the professional equipment and softwares used by Rebel X and the free softwares that can get you the job done and the 3D scanner featured in the video:

Looking forward to this DYI build. Suzuki drz400 would be good. Heaps of these around the world.

You aint kidding. I gave up looking. Really looked hard at the Lynx Faring. But i want a bigger dash. So I just started the process of making one. Going to look at both fixed to the tripple trees or fixed to frame. But settled on using a fairing from a Honda X-ADV 750. Slightly modified. If it turns out well, I will post a video of it. If it looks too cheesy, well then no one will know. Lol. But yes. Somoene could stand to make a serious ton of money if they did it right.

I bought a rally tower kit for my DRZ 400 from Perfect Fairings in Greece. I installed it on my DRZ in the US and raced Sonora Rally with it. Unfortunately, an aluminium bracket on the nav tower failed during the race and I lost a lot of time. I have since abandoned the "Perfect Fairing." I am now a fan of the HighwayDirtBikes rally kit. Check them out for some inspiration. They have a clean simple solution which might inspire a build for an older style rally bike.

Use a Honda XR 650 L or a Suzuki DR 650. Keep the great videos coming.

Lovely. Had some time with my phone taking pictures and running them through some 3d point cloud sw and for the price (free) the result was rather nice. Still though, I had to scale the model (engine) and am not sure it's precise enough.
Based on this experience I went on modeling existing fuel tank from scratch in fusion, to be able to make fairinga on top of that. What a pita.
Glad you showed the Sense 3D scanner, as it really is inexpensive if you have something in mind to make.

There is also a new interesting scanner from Creality coming out, I backed the project on kickstarter and should receive it soon it’s more or less like the sense price but seems better and easier to use. Will maybe make a video when it arrived

@@ManuelLucchese1 please do, because as we talk, Sense scanner is nla mostly, from reputable sources and afaik it no longer gets updates and customer care.

Should build the nav tower on a honda xr. They have bikes running from 1980 to current. Choosing one would allow it to be interchangeable between many different bikes over decades.

Never did episode 2 due to the fact then I started running the Yamaha official team and didn’t have time to move on with this series but no this year I should get the time to get it off again!! I divided in playlist so there is a playlist dedicated to Dakar, one to bike builds one to tests and so on
