    Hi Candy! I would love to make this for my Guyanese boyfriend. Can you please tell me the process of making salted beef. Likewise, we do not have completely seasoning or Sazon seasoning here. Can I make it myself? Thanks!

    • @candythaglamcook
      @candythaglamcook  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi dear. I actually purchased the salted beef. A great substitute would be corned beef the actual beef tho not the corned beef in in can.. and you can use whatever seasoning you normally cook with you don't have to use the ones I used in the recipe.

    I love your recipes but we don’t call basil married man poke because they are two different thing in Guyana you can used white rice to make your this food and it will come out fluffy and dry your cook up is wet but you say you don’t love it wet

    • @candythaglamcook
      @candythaglamcook  Před rokem +1

      Married man pork is not the correct name for the herb. It's basil but they are a wide variety of basil, sweet basil, Thai basil, purple basil, the one we use in guyana and the list goes on. Never did I say you can't make cook up with white rice. I just prefer to make mine with brown or parboiled rice because it holds up better. I don't like my rice mushy. Wet and mushy are 2 different things. Now go ponder on those facts and have a nice day.
