Janet, awesome beef cook-up rice. I don’t eat beef but I eat everything else. I know I can substitute the meat with goat or lamb. This is one of my favorite backyard summer time cook out with families and friends. I am still using your mauby recipe. 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
Vake thank you! Yes of course you can always substitute the beef for any other meat. I’m so happy to hear you’re using my mauby recipe thank you for letting me know, it always put a smile on my face when someone tell’s me that… I hope you’re enjoying it ❤️🇬🇾💯🙏🙏🙏
I see what you’re saying and can understand how it can be annoying! But at the time I was just learning how to edit videos so I did the best I could’ve at the time, sorry if it was confusing to you! Thank you for watching!!
I realize that this is how you cook yours, however, i am going to be picky. This is not traditional Guyanese cook-up. You should make that clear. Bandanya and pimento is not traditional Guyanese. Traditionally it's black eye peas not kidney beans. Adobe is not traditional and neither is soy sauce. Casareep is traditional. Not saying that yours is not good. Just that's its not traditional. Also, personally, I would prefer a simpler recipie. Finally, if your rice is too soggy, just put a couple of slices of bread on top of the rice and cover it. After a few mins the bread will soak up much of the liquid.
Padna I am a cookup cook master and cook up rice can be cooked in 365 ways a different one each day of the year, this one looks very delicious from the way it was cooked and the ingredients used, she could have used any ingredients she wanted any peas for example she could have used yellow split peas, pigeon peas, you ever criticise the rice saying it too saggy bai I tell you something you keep yu eyes out of the Lady pot and cook yu own cook up
You're being a bit nitpicky. I agree that it should be Casareep though. Casdrip is a must for cook-up but some people live in the states and don't have access. You gotta work with what you have.
@FamilyTheFeast I am Facebook police according to my friends, and I wear it with pride even if they don't mean it as a compliment. 😁 look don't mind me. Just cook how you cook and enjoy.

Also too much ingredients...I never put soy sauce in my cook up
