I’m a Trinidadian and I tried your recipe, it was delicious!!!! I made three times already, I don’t wait for no holidays, I make it whenever I feel for it.
Awesome happy you enjoyed it
😂😂😂
Delicious indeed
Right, so so yummy!!!!!!!
Greattttt I am happy to know that you tired n enjoyed it
🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾 best pepperpot in the whole universe. We are the only ones to make this in the 🌎. So proud to be guyanese
Absolutely right.
I ordered pepperpot soup at a local caribbean place. I was expecting the Jamaican green one, but instead I got this sludgey pitch black bowl of soup that was the most delicious thing I've had in a long time. Glad to learn that this is the Guyanese way! Thanks for sharing.
It's pepper pot not pepper pot soup my dear
Glad you enjoyed our delicious Guyanese pepperpot. It's basically a stew that is eaten with fresh baked Guyanese bread or some eat it with rice. The most popular way is with bread.
I followed this recipe. And made the Best Pepper pot ever. The overnight seasoning made a huge difference. made my Christmas even better🇬🇾🇬🇾🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome glad it was successful. You're welcome 😊
My favorite dish that I abandoned all because I stopped eating beef about 30+ years, after watching this video, I will attempt to make some for the wife and kids. I always talk about it but never did it.
Thanks for the recipe! 🇬🇾🇬🇾❤️
I get hungry just watching you make your food. You got people thinking Im a chief. I appreciate you and your videos, thank you for sharing. Your better than any cook book.👍👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much. It means alot I love inspiring people. 😊❤
Btw I use the paper towel method too but what works best is usually at Christmas it’s pretty cold here so I put mine outside for a bit n let the fat solidify then I take it off it comes off like butter right off the top all of it.
I'll try it , Guyanese in Canada, I was fasting for Christ during Christmas 🎄, I have pepper pot on my mind for the new year, I'll do lamb and chicken 🐔 foot, I don't eat beef and pork, ill pick up the nessary and give it a shot
Lady I learned something new from you today, using the paper towels to absorb the oil! Brilliant idea!! 👍🏽👍🏽
You're welcome
I'm fascinated by the paper towel technique. Just love how you don't robotically follow customs but use a modern, common sense approach. Great job
Thank you, i was hoping people can relate and not think its nasty or weird doing that. Have a blessed day appreciate you stopping by 😊
Man your prep is so clean, I’d eat by you any day! Trying this for Christmas!
Thank you. Appreciate it 🙏🏾
Thank you for teaching me my countries national foods, unfortunately I wasn't brought up in a Guyanese cultured household I will be making this at Christmas.
You're welcome I understand.

I love pepper pot with plait bread! I've never made it before but I would only use beef so the cooking time should be a lot less. Thank you for your recipe, I can't wait for Christmas! 🙂
You now can give it a try and yes beef alone is much more faster good luck and thank you for stopping by 😊

Peppapot!!! Pepperpot has always been a Christmas tradition for my family for yeeears. This year, most family members are making their own since we all live far & wide from one another, Canada, US & Guyana. This year, I is making me own to enjoy for myself (Guyanese accent hee hee) I deserve it! I decided to take a peek at your video & learned some new tips, thank you Candy gurl. I'm using scotch bonnet peppers.😜 In the morning, will be making fresh bakes to go along with it & just maybe some homemade bread too. Cheers to everyone this Christmas & may God bless you all. 💚❤💛🖤🤍

Hi Candy beautifully done, but I always add a little casareep to marinate the meat wd the seasoning, then add the remaining casareep to cook it.
Many people do that, I have been doing mine this way forever Maybe I'll give it a try next time. Thank you for stopping by 😊

Love the way you did it ❤and explain. Thanks for sharing. I make mine just the way you make it my kids love it but I use to get cassreep from Guyana but some times I but at the West Indian store. But don’t get those nice fresh beef you got. In Guyana we use to go to the butcher at the market. It so different when u buy meet in the supermarket. Last week my daughter bought a pack at B j. Thank you for sharing. New to your channel have a bless old years day. And A prosperous New year. 🙏🏼❤

Your pepper pot is perfect!
Thanks dear.
Girl I got to become a subbie to my fellow Guyanese 🇬🇾…goo d job, yummy 😋
My favourite, pepper pot.
I was craving this hadn’t had it in years! Watching you make this is making me drool🤤, will be trying your recipe! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome kaesha. Enjoy 😉
I can smell that pepper pot cooking 😊
Awesome 😊
Another way to get rid of the fat is to precook the meats or you can cook your pepperpot ahead, let it sit on the fridge or out on the counter overnight and see the fat settle at the top. Once the pepperpot is rested for 24 hrs, you can easily break off the solid fats that settles at the top.
Yes I know those methods, thank you
Love the way you spice it up, good job 👍💯
Thank you for stopping by will. 😊
Looks good, I do mine slightly different as I wld add the cassereep to the seasoned meat overnight.
Okay
Not the way my great grandmother made this delicious delicacy… but to each his own…
Every guyanese make pepper pot different to suit their liking as they should, why would I do it in a way that doesn't cater to my taste buds just to be traditional? I think not! But thank you for stopping by, happy holidays 😊
My favorite Christmas dish 😋 and it was well prepared 👍
Thanks dear
Yummy yummy
Have to make this very nice my son love peperpot enjoy guys
Good luck and enjoy.
Thank you so much sweetheart you just made me cook 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🌞🌞🌞🙏🏿
You're welcome. Enjoy 😉
Candy I used your pepperpot recipe this afternoon and my mom and family are very impressed on how delicious it tasted.
Awesome. Happy it turned out great. Thank you 😊
Lovely-Lovely Pepperpot. It looks tasty. Did I blink & missed the Tripe? Altho its a hit or miss for me. Thankz for showin how you make yours...🤩
Thank you dear. I don't normally add tripe to my pepper pot I like to keep it simple but any meat in all varieties can be added just make it your own by adding what you like.
No seasonings necessary. The cassareep, clove, cinnamon, sugar, pepper and salt from the salted meat is all that’s necessary. I understand the younger folks use seasonings.
Its not necessary for you love.. that's your preference. I don't use salt in any of my cooking. The seasoning has salt and flavor that I prefer. But like I mentioned in the video if you want to to use just salt, then by all means suit yourself.
Agreed! You shouldn't call it pepper pot if you're including onion, garlic, green seasoning. Call it stew and call it George.
Omg , this is looking awesome. Never had this before. Would love to sample it looks so mouthwatering, thank you for this amazing recipe. Awesome
This looks delicious. Nice comfort food.
Looks awesomely delicious. Thanks for sharing. 👍🥂💞

It looks delicious I will try one day thank u for sharing
Looks delicious I had this some time age and enjoyed it always wanted to know how to make it. I have seen cassreep In the grocery here
Cassareep is usually very scarce the authentic kind isn't found anywhere but guyana. You can find something close to it on Amazon.
Hi Candy, thank you so much for these videos. They've been such a big help with learning how to make my native Guyanese dishes!
Question about the pepper pot: Would all the seasonings be the same if I wanted to use goat and lamb instead of beef?
Hi dear to your question yes everything stays the same no matter what meat you decide to use. And cooked the same way I did the beef. Thank you for stopping by appreciate it 🙏🏾
l9
I wanna try this on my next MUKBANG hehehehe look yummy and delicious
Go ahead
Superb, loved the way you acknowledged the consumption of so much oil is not good for you and you removed it.

Oh wow that's awesome happy it turned out great 👍🏽. You would live this recipe too only if you can find cassareep it's very scarce and can't be found everywhere.
@@candythaglamcook I got the Cassareep from Amazon for the cookup rice. So yup I’ll be making this one too, however idk if I can find cow foot…
Im eating the cookup rice right now actually lol 😋😋
@@TheLisaDeesDelightsShow oh wow that's awesome. You don't have to make it with cow foot. Different cuts of beef is OK to use pork can also be added
Good morning candy.. This is looking so yummy n delicious 🌺🌺

My gran would only use the cassreep from back home in Guyana
Looks delicious. Will try to make my first batch of green sauce next week. Thank you, Candy. Really enjoying the channel.
Good luck Michael. You're welcome 😊
You make it so easy for us
A pleasure 🙏🏾
Pepper pot can make anytime of the year, not just Christmas.
I think every guyanese knows that. But we save it for that time of year. If we have it year round we'd get bored and it won't be special at Christmas.
Candy your pepper pot looks so so yummy.
Thank you
You’re a natural Candy, another great 1👍🏽I’m trying to get my “GT”gurlfrnd to make some for us during the holidays,we are not big meat eaters,so we will substitute the cow foot ;but either way am sure it will be scrumptious...and of course we will be having it with homemade baked bread.#trinigyal
That's awesome treat yourselves for the holidays. Thank you for stopping by appreciate it. 😊
Well broud leaf time grow in Ontario too
Thanks very much
im going to season this today !!!! yummy!!!
