    The MEDIA has tried to tarnish Kobe’s legacy over and over and over again… BUT the players (who actually PLAYED the game) know who was the 🐐 or at least closest to being the best. I don’t understand why the media hates him so much 🤷🏽‍♂️

      It all started Kobe rookie year the media tried to make him act proper and was upset he was a highschool kid walking around with his shoe untied. Kobe also did not praise Jordan in a godly way and the NBA was upset every since because being that Kobe was on the Lakers they could not bully him because Lakers is a brand within our own. LA baby even tho I’m from the East Coast I’m a Lakers fan since 19997 and that’s my theory

      I feel like certain players pick Kobe because of his iso and 1v1 bag. Kobe would expose your defense primary whereas LeBron would expose your team’s defense. Which would make sense on why players would fear Kobe more, and in turn think he’s better

    I’ve watched many TMac & Kobe games growing up…and I’ve always thought TMac was on the same level as Kobe offensively. They literally played identical especially in that Allstar game together. The only difference to me, Kobe was a Tier 1 serial killer. Not too many players on that tier

      The thing is Kobe was still ascending when TMac peaked before the injuries weighed in. But offensively when Mac was prime it was debatable. 2 sides to the ball though and Mac admittedly was not always committed on D.

      @@Gemini050788 Mac's best was in Orlando, but i wouldn't say that was his peak. Because he was still young, and had more room to get better. If not for him getting hurt. Kobe was faster, but other than that Mcgrady had the advantage. Height, Jumping ability, Wing span, and athleticism. Kobe played ball his entire childhood! To Mcgrady just starting to play in high school. He had already dwarfed Kobe after just a few years in the nba. Mac, and Kobe were close, but offensively i think mac was better.

      Prime T-mac can compete with ANYONE in history. Not that he'd for sure win but T-mac at his best would give pretty much any guard/forward in history a run for their money (Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, Bird, KD, etc)

    T mac was the most talented player i ever seen. Deep, mid range, or inside he could hurt you from anywhere. For his size his ball skills was off the charts. He had no problems dribbling through multiple defenders attacking the rim.

      @@SA-cp4tw I think t mac was more explosive than Durant. Mcgrady could dunk over 2, or 3 defenders at the rim on a regular basis. Where you see KD getting his dunk blocked by 1 guy in the Olympics. T mac, or Vince Carter would of abused that dude that blocked Durant's dunk. I use to see t mac get a pass right up under the rim. Then turn around and dunk on the defender. That's some serious hops t mac had.

Kobe said that tmac was the hardest to guard since he could rise up and shoot like he could but he was taller. Imagine if he met KD in his prime. Yet there’s defo some disparity in terms of athleticism.

    While Kobe may not have had the same physical attributes as some other basketball legends like Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James, Vince Carter, or Michael Jordan, he compensated with an unparalleled work ethic, dedication, and mental toughness. Kobe's success was indeed a result of his relentless pursuit of excellence, even without being a "freak of nature" in terms of physical attributes.

      Because Kobe had superior handles, was a better three point shooter, tougher defender and played in a tougher era against superior guards and perimeter players than Jordan; Iverson, Arenas, T-Mac, Pierce, Joe Johnson, Lebron, Wade, Allen, James Harden, etc. Just imagine what a prime Kobe would’ve done to John Starks, Trent Tucker, Craig Ehlo, Randy Whitman, Rex Chapman, and all the scrubs that matched up against Jordan in a 1 on 1 expansion league!

      T mac was doing in his early 20's what it took Kobe in his late 20's to just start doing. Mcgrady was more talented than Kobe all the way around. His body just didn't hold up.

It took kobe 10 years to win his 1st scoring title. Where t mac did the same thang in 4 or 5 years earlier than Kobe. Kobe played ball his whole life. T mac just started playing in high school. Mac already was better than Kobe a few years later.

    Kobe had the best repertoire ever. Every distance. Micheal had him at the rim with the bigger hands, longer fingers as PJ has noted. Any and every shot Kobe took around the rim and out to the 3 pt line was part of his game. From deep turn around fades, to baby hooks to tear drops. He was longer than micheal so he could create a little bit more. He, Micheal, Wilt and Kareem and Russell the 4 most lethal players ever with a score needed. The Big Dipper prob number 1 in my book

    Kobe had more flair and better dribble moves, kinda street ball moves. Jordan just had no fat or excess about his game. But at the end of the day Jordan beats both Kobe and TMac one on one because he had more polished fundamentals and just insane athleticism as lot of experts pointed out he had perfect basketball body plus those gloves for hands.

    McGrady defense on Toronto was top shelf .... his effort on both ends was at Max then when he got to Orlando he was asked to score more and his effort on the defensive end slowly regressed. i guess he didn't have that extra gear stamina competitive edge that kobe had for the defensive side and that's where I feel he was lesser then kobe . just that true grit 100% effort on both sides.. but again his burden with Orlando was alot greater than kobe and the lakers So I can understand why he wore out faster and didn't have qs much oomph ... so many variables to consider its hard to compare 😪 players evenly stats and accomplishments only give 75 % perce t of the answers in q nba player debate there's just so.much more to it

    I agree Kobe had better overall offensive skill but Jordan is still a better basketball player overall. More efficient scorer, better defender, better finisher, better leader, better in clutch situation, played better within the flow of an offense.

    defining skill purely as "who has a bigger bag" is stupid. efficiency in your basketball ability has to be a large factor. yeah it's cool that kobe can shoot a left handed fadeaway with low fg%. that doesn't make him more skilled than jordan who can get to the rim or his mid range spots whenever he wants and shoot a high %.
