Semele was an earth goddess, Zeus represents the sky and their union creates Dionysus, a god linked to vegetation, Greek mythology is very symbolic

Actually in the myths, Semele is the daughter of Cadmus; the very first Greek hero and Harmonia; the Greek goddess of harmony who’s the daughter of Aphrodite and Ares. So since she was a Demi goddess that would’ve made Dionysus only a quarter mortal.

I assume Zeus can change to many forms and sizes. And that his size in Olympus is a lot bigger than what his size was as the mortal man. So when he impregnated the princess the fetus was puny compared to his legs and even right before birth it wasn't very noticeable. I assume most gods thought he was bitten by a mosquito from the underworld or something.

I’m not sure I understood the question correctly but I would imagine that because the Greeks noticed that some people were homosexual etc. and they viewed it as normal so they wanted to reflect that in they’re gods. It fascinates me that thousands of years ago a biologically rooted behaviour was totally acceptable yet today there is a considerable number of people who see it as unnatural. In some aspects humanity did evolve backwards.

"The most primitive & simple of religious beliefs among both northern & southern races connected the object with the divinity, & when the Ancients declared the Oak sacred to Zeus, they identified the tree with the god-in other words, the tree itself was the god, & in very primitive times was worshipped as such. This hypothesis is still further elaborated by the fact that the Oak is the tree most often struck by lightning, & Zeus, being the God of Thunder, or the Thunder itself, dwelt in, or rather had his being in, an Oak tree. Prof. Harris puts it thus: "The Thunder-god goes back to the Thunder-man, or into the Thunder-bird or Thunder-tree; Zeus takes the stately form in vegetable life of the Oak-tree, or if he must be flesh & blood, he comes back as a Red-headed Woodpecker. " The parasites of the Oak such as Mistletoe & Ivy, would evidently partake of the attributes of the tree & would thus be the thunder also. In the case of the Ivy a new & subordinate Thunder God would become evolved under the name of Dionysos, & Prof. Harris says: "Dionysos is the ivy; in the first instance he is ivy, nothing more or less" ; & again; "The tree is the thunder & makes all its parasites & its denizens thunder also.""

All of which relates to the Super structure (or psychological platform) that functionally makes up Plato's Republic. Youth subjected to such initiation rites "adopt" (more accurately, are programmed to accept) certain sets of morals that directly impede the otherwise normal development of an individual identity (aka Jungian Individuation), directly related to subservience to authority [figures]))

Why does no one mention the fact that dionysus mean twice born, he was originally the God zagerus but what ripped apart by some of the titans because at least how the store goes zagerus was the son of hades/Zeus and persephone. Some stories say that hades and Zeus temporary had fused to produce an offspring that was both half light and half dark to be able to rule when Zeus stepped down.

The Titans killed Saturn several times for his support of the Olympians over the Titans. All along, Zeus was trying to return his father to the throne of Heaven, so he created another body for Saturn to inhabit which we know as Dionysus. The Titans killed Dionysus because they knew he was Saturn, so Zeus combined his own self with Saturn to create a new and overpowered version of Dionysus called Zagreus. If he had grown up, this combo-god would have been the most powerful one of all. But the Titans killed him too.
