“He wanted to humiliate pan with a unanimous victory but literally one person gave the other guy a vote and thus he won unanimously except for one vote, so he literally disfigured the one person who didn’t vote for him even though he soundly won regardless.” Yup, sounds like a Greek god to me.
Even Shaq didn't do that to the one person who didn't vote him MVP in 2000
More like sounds like what christians did to Greek mythologies to me
@@ProtoIndoEuropean88 what
@@samatar6852
Just another teenager trying to sound edgy lol
You seem to have no idea what unanimous means, but okay.
Poor King Midas. At least you're one loyal friend.
Pan was the god of nature, the wild, shepherds, flocks of mountain wilds, fertility and is often associated with sexuality.
Apollo was god 11 things, oracles/prophecy, healing, archery, music (dance was sub-part of it), art, the sun, knowledge/science, truth, diseases/plagues, poetry, and light.
More like Freddy vs David Bowie
Dayum his kids must have massive control over ELEVEN domains
Isn't Logic one of his things too?
Hufflepuff vs ravenclaw
Apollo, god of pettiness.
Eh most greek gods were.
Pretty much he was the most sinister of the gods
Imo most petty are Zeus,Athena and hera
I would do the same
Midas can never get a break, can he?
As if midas hasn't suffered enough
I always remembered pan as the God of music, didn't he have a big role in the war against the titans where his music sent titans into a Panic, hense the English word "Panic"?
Yup, he did that, but the god of music was Apollo. Pan created the flute and maybe that's why some people said that idk
It was his roar that made the titans flee.
@@anap.b3253 they are both gods of music with Pan being the god of rustic music that is to say country music, not modern country music, but less popular and more obscure music. Essentially he is the god of instruments that most people would look at and say what the heck is that?
Takes me back to childhood. We didn't have comics for these stories that I knew of, we had kids picture books....which are almost the same thing I guess.

"since he is so good, why doesn't he challenge me to a music duel?" Aaand that goes to the list of things you should never said in ancient greek myths, just after:
."if Athena wants me to shup up so badly, she should come here and make me!"
. "i'm/my daughter is way more beutifull than Aphrodite!"/ "I'm way more beutifull than X goddess!"
. "I have 14 kids while Leto had only 2, so who's the real goddess here?"
. "Zeuse's wife, has got it going on"
. "I would be a better queen than Persephone!"
There’s probably more: “if Zeus wants to shag, you don’t have a choice, just try to make sure to get him to protect you from his wife’s vengeance afterwards”
“Don’t go near Poseidon if you’re good looking, just don’t, and if you end up being near him for some reason, stay outside holy places, you will be violated and you will be punished to being violated. No doesn’t mean no to a deity.”
"Oh what a good day to exist as a woman in Greece. Surely I won’t end up pregnant with a half-lightning god child"
It's nice to see the story of Midas be continued
Man that is extreme for apollo but then again not the first time he did it.
ps: lets go brandon
The comic looks so beautiful 🤩
Does anyone know the songs that Pan and Apollo played during their battles. I mean the songs that's in this video. The music they used sounded magnificent. 👏
Their music can be anything we’d want to it sound like honestly. It can be left up to our own interpretation 😊
Greek mythology may be really weird. But my fav thing in it is funny stories about the God's fight lives because they always fight about hilarious
Mankind was dished a hotplate whenever he defied the gods, these stories kept the ancient greeks in ‘character check’, advising them not to act against the will of the government and priests in the ideal republic.
So very true.
Wasn't it Apollo who gave Midas his golden touch in the first place? Perhaps his vote to Pan was more than just out of pity, he just had a chip on his shoulder with the God of music.
Nope it was Dionysus
Dionysus
.
The greek gods are so petty.
Very much like humans.
man, Midas just can't catch a break from the gods.
Dont treat mah man midas like dat. He was one loyal bro
could you please do a video on the greek myth of Pleiades? and also the story on zeus becoming taurus. I'm really interested in the story of Pleiades and no one every speaks of them.
Just wanna take the time to notice your beautiful art work ❤️❤️❤️
Literally the biggest shocker is how the Greek gods are always so negative about people. Arachne builds a nice design, becomes a spider, midas cares about pan, gets donkey ears. The Greek gods are so arrogant and act like high-school teenage prep girls
3:02 It would be great if you depicted Apollo with long waving hair rather than curly hair.
Nonetheless great video guys 👦
His statues show him with curly hair. Still, I agree that long wavy hair fits his personality much more.
Nice, musical competition 👍.
And ❤ all your video's.
Dang this is amazing 😁😍
Wow i never thought that people could do 🤟 in the ancient times.
A battle of bands for each other's groupies.
Ah yes the age old debate, woodwind vs string instruments
I would like a video on Cernonnus the Lord of the Wilds and Underworld of Celtic myth
I learn when it comes to a contest between gods, mortals should never get involved. It will end badly for them
I’d put my money on Pan. He looked like he was tearing it up on that Pan flute lol
Is there a link to the original comic anywhere? Can’t seem to find it on Google.
Ayo animators had no bussiness making that guy in the thumbnail so frickinh thick

Greek god of skillshare?
Thdi will be good Apollo son of zues vs pan son of Hermès I can’t wait for this a music battle of the gods I Cnat wiat for this
Wait father vs son? Apollo isn't Pans father
Just curious what you mean by that or am I missing a few myths
@@frikkie1494 wiat I am wrong Pan is Hermès son
How do you do Apollos music using a harp..
Omg yes!
I've realized Greek stories are lessons in the importance of striving towards mediocrity. According to the Greek church every time someone does something extraordinary that brings them attention the "gods" punish them for trying to stand out, that it's better for the average person to stay average and know their place.
It's kind of brilliant in its insidious messaging.
Modesty is a big thing in greek culture even today. Modern greeks we still trash people who appear arrogant.
Apollo raise Pam as a child so the interaction would be much mutual in real life
I was hoping for some jazz flute from Pan.
poor midas he was just being a good friend
Midas is the OG bunny boy. Get that man a playboy bunny fit and make him do tiktok thirst traps
The artist failed to give Pan the correct type of flute. The Panflute! Also, instead of a challenge, they should have played together. The harp and the flute are the perfect companions!
Hi I love your videos but I have request:
Can you please make on Lebanese mythology thx 😄😄😄
Midas: The God of Misfortune 😂😂😂
Great vid man.
Pan is my favorite God :)
Apollo looking like Bob Ross in this story. 🎨🖼
Apollo although won jealous over Midas in his choice to pan
Why MIDAS was always the one who got cursed? 😅
This is the first time he was cursed. The first time it was supposed to be a gift. It was Midas that didn’t think things through and wished for the golden touch.
There are 3 renditions of this story. 1 Pan loses, 2 Pan wins & 3 a draw.
Apollo was not the God of the sun...that honor belongs to Helios. Apollo was more of the God of the suns' shine or the suns' rays.
Let's compare someone who plays the piano to someone who plays the violin and let's see who's better even though they play completely different instruments.
midas been through a lot
Apollo gave Midas donkeys ears.
Imagine what he would have done to Simon lol
poor midas xD
Do you have anything on yoruba mythology
Ñice program
This reminds me of "The Devil went down to Georgia."
oh and also midas is there for some reason
In Greece it is satyr not faun faun is Roman as well as apollon is the Greek god Apollo is the Roman god
Poor Midas
👍
APOLLO IS SO MEAN >:( LIKE HE COULD OF JUST GAVE PAN A HANDSHAKE AND SAY GOOD JOB BUT NO HE WANTED TO HUMILIATE PAN LIKE O MY GOD
What about when he skinned alive Marsyas?
Didn’t Pan teach Apollo prophesies and divination
Gods acting like little kids as usual, that's Greek Mythology for ya.

It was A late night. I was asleep-My door opened, and Hera, Queen of Olympus entered my room. She woke me up.
Me: Uh, what's going on here ?
I said confuse.
Hera: Make Room I'm coming on board.
Hera demanded.
Me: Y-Yes Ma'am.
We made love all night. And I enjoyed it.

There were no Yellow haired people in Greece. Never have been
*blonde not meant to be rude
These are gods, Apollo is often described to have long golden hair in the mythos. before insulting other people's art, I'd like to see you do better. It's okay to critique, but demeaning insults are not the way to go.
Apollo often shown to have blonde hair and sometimes described with dark skin in a story about one of apollos lovers
@@glamorgirl911 Yep, I think the darker skin was mentioned in the story of Hyacinthus, maybe that's why his Blood of Zeus version had that darker skin tone, but that's just my dumb speculation
maybe that's the case, however you have to remember that Apollo wasn't like a real person, likely the blonde hair he has was because of his association with sun.
