A recurring theme in Greek mythology especially is the dangers of pride. When we let pride become the all-encompassing emotion, it always leads to a painful downfall. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your work or in someone like your children. However, when you let pride be the driving force of everything, it quickly makes enemies.
