    Thanks for taking the time to compare all three. The only thing I could’ve done without was the repetitive and distracting background music. I can understand having music in an intro or if you’re transitioning between scopes/rifles and need to fill some silence, but makes it hard to listen to what you’re saying with the music droning on.

    I’ve put the VX6 HD on my Benelli Lupo 270 and 308. Both are 3X18 magnification. Super pleased with the range of magnification. I put Leupolds on everything. Bought a bunch of them.

    What are your thoughts on installing on 3-9x40 leupold to my Weatherby 300 win mag, mainly deer and elk in AZ

    Thanks for the comparison of the their line. I just picked up a Tikka t3x lite in 6.5 prc. My current rifle has a second focal plane bdc im use to but thinking of going to a dial system or possibly the Mark 5 in Ffp but idk about that because of close shot and also want to keep it light up top. So hard to decide ahhh I just hunt western states also.

      We are looking at doing a review of the Mark 5. Can’t go wrong with any of the scopes we reviewed in this video or the Mark 5 - all excellent, just comes down to needs!

    Thanks for all your great videos! would love your opinion on a Delta Titanium HD 2.5-1-x50 vs the Leupold VX-R 3-9x50 as a hunting scope for dawn and dusk

      Can’t go wrong with any of their scopes - just depends on factors like yardage, platform, and general application’

    Is there a difference in the "crispiness" for each click for the turrets?

    how do you feel in the comparisone of the vx3 and vx5 do you need to have the vx3 with the 50mm bell to be comperable to the vx5 with the 44mm bell? or why did you choose the 50mm over the 40mm in the vx3

    • @bearcountryoutdoors
      @bearcountryoutdoors  Před 11 měsíci +1

      It depends on many factors. The larger objective will give you better low light clarity for early morning or late evening shots. Main tube diameter comes into play as well as a 30mm tube will gather more light and have more adjustment than a 1" main tube.
      If you can fit a 50mm on your rifle and still have the correct cheek weld and head/eye position, then run the 50.

    I bought, as my first bolt, a new model 70 in .270 Winchester, and put a 2-10x VX5 HD Firedot on top of Talley rings.
    Whadda rig.
    Still haven’t ordered or used the CDS turret feature yet, but am hearing that’s pretty nice too.
    Very impressed with the functional simplicity of the Leupold. Just don’t need, or want, too many knobs.

    Is the clarity/quality of the glass the same on the vx-3hd as on vx-6hd???

    • @bearcountryoutdoors
      @bearcountryoutdoors  Před 11 měsíci

      The clarity and quality are equally the same. They each have a little bit more adjustment than the other as well as giving you more range in power.

    What's the difference in vx freedom and vx3-HD

    • @bearcountryoutdoors
      @bearcountryoutdoors  Před rokem

      The VX3 is higher end, and comes with more options like removable throw lever, more CDS options for the dial, and if I’m not mistaken the VX3’s are lighter weight and have better lenses and protective coating

    • @commonsense5709
      @commonsense5709 Před rokem

      The Freedom is their entry level line with really mushy turrets that actually track really good regardless of how they actually feel and has nice glass. The VX3 HD has nicer glass and better turret clicks.

  • @timetodopatriotstuff2315

    Nothing inside these scopes is made in America as far as glass & coatings you know the important stuff

    • @scotteger6271
      @scotteger6271 Před rokem +1

      Nothing in a lot of optics are made in American. Leupold, as with most other companies, sources their materials from various sources/places and they’re assembled here in the US. It’s just the way the world is.

    In your opinion, is the VX6HD in 3-18 worth the difference in price over the VX5HD in 3-15?

    • @bearcountryoutdoors
      @bearcountryoutdoors  Před 2 lety +1

      We would say so - but depending on budget, either one are an excellent choice!

    • @Skyhawks1979
      @Skyhawks1979 Před rokem +1

      If you take into account the included Alumina lens covers ($200ish) and the throw lever it makes the difference in price not so great. The glass between the two is comparable. I like the 34mm tube on the VX-6. VX-6 also has a built in level indicator in the illuminated reticle.

    • @scotteger6271
      @scotteger6271 Před rokem

      Once you get to the VX5 and VX6 level, you’re not going to notice much of a difference in the glass, generally you’re looking at one or the other for your specific hunting needs.

    Kind of a disorganized, non-informative, weird Lynyrd Skynyrd repetitive obnoxious tone - similar to a baby incessantly crying.........Anyway - thanks for making me go to Leupold's website.
