    I've had the 2-turn version in use now for 5 years. It's been on a 7mm LRM but spent most of it's life on my custom 6.5 PRC. It's been all over Arizona hunting elk and Coues deer. It's been to South Africa on a 7 day hunting trip for plains game. It's performed flaw less. It even survived my wife training up from nothing to being an efficient rifle shooter in prep for Africa. She killed 8 trophies with it all with 1 shot kills.

    That built in anti-cant feature is a REALLY nice feature, -no checking a externally mounted anti-cant level. Two thumbs up Leupold!

    I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the czcams.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

    I'm a Leupold fan! I have to admit that the Bushnell Elites which are made in Japan with the DOA reticle are also excellent!

    I can't buy anything else than Luepold, 30 years of usage has spoiled me, I'm sold.

    I have recently had my arken sh4 turrets seize up and figure time to upgrade, never owned a Leupold have seen through a couple over years though.
    And when I put my vx 6hd 3-18x50 I was in pure shock so was couple mates as we could see spiders on neighbours roof from 80 metres away clarity is absolutely insane, and the forest is bright for all times of day and night and can turn light up and down also.

    Nice video. A little too much scope for my needs but I'm not where you are. I go with Leupold whenever possible. I love their Firedot but wish they had a wider range for them. At mid range prices they don't have what I want.

    This thing looks great and I'm actively seeking a new optic. What is the light transparency percentage for this optic?

    • @JDsModernMartialArts
      @JDsModernMartialArts Před 5 měsíci

      Really good. Light weight but solid and earlier today was looking at far away things and kept saying "Wow that's amazing."

    • @toddhelms5241
      @toddhelms5241 Před 4 měsíci

      The percentage is not listed by Leupold but as with all optics from them it is extremely high. You will run out of legal shooting time long before you max out the scope's light gathering capability.

    What about when you look through the scope , does each mark equal 100 yards ??? No one talks about that in their Reviews . I have a scope with that , The Leupold has it but they don't talk about it nor do you guys talk about it in your Reviews . Please talk about that , I want to know about that before I put that kind of money on a scope . Thank you .

      @w8tillucmiooo Před rokem +1

      Each mark represents a minute of angle (MOA) the actual distance each represents depends on the range you’re looking at

    How does a larger objective let in more light if it’s still the same size tube as a scope with a smaller objective?

    • @toddhelms5241
      @toddhelms5241 Před 2 lety +2

      The larger objective maximizes the amount of light an optic gathers, the 52mm objective coupled with the 34mm tube make this scope a light vacuum.

    • @Axethales
      @Axethales Před 7 měsíci

      Most scopes do not have a 34mm tube. The 34mm tube coupled with the larger objective is whats making the difference.

    If you have to consult the owners manual to figure out what power to use, that is not a good scope in the heat of the moment when things happen fast. If you have all the time in the world to take pot shots at 1000 yards then more power to ya…….

    • @controlPHREEK
      @controlPHREEK Před 9 měsíci +1

      I was curious about this feature as well. So is this standard on most scopes, or just this model? It seems a little extra in the heat of the moment, especially when we only have a few minutes/seconds sometimes to execute a perfect shot.

      Anyone with any sense, would read up on it BEFORE going out to hunt. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @blakebeverly84
      @blakebeverly84 Před 7 měsíci

      I believe he’s referring to the subtend of the reticle having provided aim points from 600-700 yards at full power, ammunition dependent of course. So that’s why you’d want to read the owners manual and become very familiar with it prior to hunting. Not intended to whip out the owners manual while staring down the barrel at an animal.

      That’s true of any 2nd focal place scope with moa reticles, it’s not exclusive to leupold…

    Big game hunting scope. 4-24....mmm
    Sounds to me more like planes game scope or range scope.
    Whatever does not kill you makes you stronger....except a buffalo....it will kill you....with that scope.
