    Thanks for the excellent post. I didn't buy a new headlight assembly but I replaced the ballast and light in the driver's side like yours. I noticed when I had the bulb cover off the condensation quickly dried up so for better or worse I drilled 3x 3/16 holes on the bulb cover for venting. I put the cover on so the holes are on the bottom below the flat part. I also did a micro-silicone bead along the top of the light that is just below the hood line. A guy from Dallas did that in his post. So this was a relaxed two hour repair start to finish thanks to you.

    I have the 2014 model. This video saved me a $1,000!
    Mine had about 1/4 cup of water. Rotated it until I found the leak. Sealed it, and also drilled 3 small holes for drainage on the bottom of the lens just before the black housing. This is where water will pool. Make sure you drill the holes on the lowest part of the lens! Note: the holes are not visible, just be careful not to drill through the reflector housing. I got this tip from a guy fixing Mercedes headlights.

    I have a 2012 Gs the driver side headlight went out and it has alot moisture in it. Now the passenger side blew so i got new bulbs and still no headlights but side marker lights work.i also checked both fuse boxes and my fuses are good .im lost what could it be? Why hasn't buick recalled this issue? Its no after market lights u can by for the Gs model.i went to Dealership in my area and was quoted $1353+ tax for just the headlight and also told its on back order and dont know when they will get more just to keep checking back. My advise is to pass up the Regal Gs model nice cars but headache because u will have that headlight issue.if i had known this i would never have gotten this car

      @wan2865 Před 3 lety

      I just went to a mechanic because there is moisture in my 13 regal gs and I also replaced the bulb. He told me that the ballast is the problem absolutely nothing wrong with the bulb itself. I need to get the moisture out of that housing because I’m not trying to spend around $300+ on a headlight.

      @@wan2865 its crazy. Very nice cars like i said before but just dont know why Buick never addressed this problem. Ive even checked salvage yards in my area and no Gs lights just regular buick regal lights.im actually over it man if i get my issue resolved im probably more than likely gonna get rid of mine . Again i gotta laugh about it because im frustrated as hell but to anyone else that ever wanted and Buick regal Gs 2012 and up nice cars,sporty and kinda fast for an 4 cylinder turbo car but by pass it and dont buy it based on the moisture that gets in driver side headlights and it blows and hard to get an headlight for that model on backorder and not know when one will appear just gotta keep checking dealership because its not an aftermarket cheaper one available like the regular Buick regal.price of light housing new is like $1350 to 1500 just for housing doesn't include installing labor cost.Best to do it yourself over dealing labor if u work on cars.Again nice car but walk away from it and leave it where u say it at is the best advice i could possibly give anyone. Nothing against Buick because they make decent cars but this issue u should have addressed.

    Just a PSA. The root cause of my headlight getting water in it was not a good seal on the headlight and the drain beneath the windshield wiper was clogged up so the water went down the hood to the headlight. I ended up changing the ballast.
