Sorry I couldn't find a way to ask a new question. At the 4:04 mark of your video, you state "as you can see I've separated the bumper cover from the fender". But you didn't show HOW you did that. I'm stuck at that step and don't want to ruin my car by doing it incorrectly. I have the shroud off, the wheel well screws are off, screws alongside the bottom of the bumper cover are out. But I've afraid to just yank those panels apart. Why did you skip that step? LOL
Once you have the Phillips head screw and the other fender screws out the fender and bumper skirt will separate with some gentle pressure. Do not wrestle it out as you could do damage. Just pull out on the skirt and keep pressure on the fender
@@mikeb6854 If I'm understanding you, that whole seam between the fender and bumper cover is essentially a "friction fit" with tabs fitting into slots -- except for one screw accessible near the wheel well lip that passes through a spring clip. I think you referred to that in your video as a Phillips head screw, but in my case it was a small hex head screw. Do I have that right?
Greetings I have 2017 Buick Regal. The layout is the same. I was fortunate and replaced the bulb only. About 5 minutes per bulb. Hope this helps , I was very scared at first.
Buick engineers really outdid themselves on this one ,you need to disassemble the whole front end just to change a bulb. nowadays we need to go to the garage to get a light bulb changed.
i have the same car, i kind of wish mine had the regular halogen units, then i could have just replaced the bulbs with plug and play LEDs. these HIDs are very expensive and a big pain to replace
The LEDs you are talking about are so that you can convert it from halogen to LED. They actually have the same thing for xenon, same housing and everything just LED.
@@weedknowledge0412 if you're talking about the black shroud over the radiator, it just pops right up. Just do it slowly and carefully so you don't lose the fasteners or break them. Start at one end and work your way around. Don't start in the middle
If you have basic mechanical skill it's surprisingly easy. Just take your time, don't force anything, and be sure the new lights work before you reconnect it all. Sometimes the ballast may be bad too
They designed it so you have to go to the dealership to change your bulb at $500.00 a pop. In all honesty if you watch the video this is really easy to do. You're going to be surprised. Just be patient when you do it. I bought the new lens assembly for $300.00 on EBay. Came with the bulb and the ballast. If you go to Auto Zone or whatever the bulb is $100 and the ballast I think was $70. So right there you save money. The new lens at the dealership was $1800.00. I hope this all helps
This is the 3rd video i looked at , 1-1/2 hr wotk . WTH ? Took me about 1/2 hr.just reached in ,pulled.cap off , 1/4 turn pulled bulb off , replaced bulb replaced wire connector put cap back in place . 4× No tools 2010 lacrosse Spent more time watching videos than working. I didn't mess with the lense though
Thanks bro I’ve already used your video twice and saved $1000. Both my kids have lacrosses.
Thanks for the post, just changed my right side headlight assembly, was easy after watching your video
Mike B - thanks for sharing! My wife's buick needs some love.. its time i get to it now that i got some "knowledge"

Damn man that blue line Funked up the Video, i think u should re do it
I'm so glad that this video helped so many save some money. I'm surprised at the view count. I thought 500 would be it

You have the bulb that twists in and out with no screws holding it in place
Buick engineers really outdid themselves on this one ,you need to disassemble the whole front end just to change a bulb. nowadays we need to go to the garage to get a light bulb changed.
Be glad you don't own a BMW You have to go to their shop to change the wiper blades LOL

Thanks so much
How can we see then the blue line it there

Gotta do this to my girls 2010 lacrosse. Looks easy enough but damn GM for making this such a time consuming process 😡
Exactly bro I have 2014 and im like bro this is my whole fucking saturday
I concur..terrible frkn design!
I just cant get my shroud off my lacross 2011 i was pushing the "button" wile puling and it wont budge help?
Pushing what button? There are not any buttons
@mikeb6854 "this pops up real easy. Make shur you have your figures over the plastic buttons.. it comes easy"
Main problem is I can't take the shroud of

Where did you get the headlights?
I got the headlight assembly on Ebay. The bulbs and ballast at Auto Zone
Hey can I have a link to the headlamps you have? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.
I got them on EBay. Took me awhile to find them. You just have to be patient
May I ask, where did you buy your parts? The dealership?
I got the headlight assembly on Ebay. The HID bulb and ballast are from Advanced Auto
Thank you for the Quick response. I called the dealership for the parts and the ballast was $400 a pièce and the bubs were $200 each. Ouch!!
$100 for the bulb at parts store. $65 for ballast
I'm still so scared to even try it! I gotta think this over a little, I'm scared! Lol
If you have basic mechanical skill it's surprisingly easy. Just take your time, don't force anything, and be sure the new lights work before you reconnect it all. Sometimes the ballast may be bad too
There has to be a faster way
Thanks for the video where can I purchase the ballast
You can get the ballast at auto zone, advanced auto or any major auto parts store. Much cheaper than dealerships. Also look at pricing on rockauto.com
I didn't take any I'd that off and I replaced my bulb
How did you manage to remove and replace the screws on the plate holding the HID?
I'm guessing you have Halogen, not HID.
I replaced my low beam bulb today didnt have take any of that stuff everyone did in all the videos had it changed less than have 5 mins tops
Your driving light you don't need to do it. This is strictly for an HID light not for halogen.
You can't just change the bulb
Not your HID light. The whole assembly must be removed. You can change your driving lights with no problem as they are just a standard bulb
I was thinking the same exact thing.

I have to change headlights in my wife’s car. What a nightmare
Literally cost my friends mother 1800 at the dealer for two headlights
Dealerships are straight up crooks!
Cost me 250 for one at my local buick repair shop
Rock Auto $3.79 bulb.

Rock auto headlight bulb $3.79
U DID EVERYTHING BUT TAKE OUT THE BULB AND REPLACED IT. smh
After all this mess, I will never buy a Buick car.
Biggest hunk of shit ever made
