Interesting, but for check top dead point of piston, engine block has control window on the right side. And need fit label flywheel with label on engine block. It more precise.
Where? Don’t see it.
@@zenermaniac2571it's the one of the Allen plugs behind the cylinders. It's in the owners manual. As with most bikes, it has lines that you line up, and that's where it should sit when adjusting
just perfect explainations and filming, thanks !
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, not so intimidating now!
No problem, really simple! Just check and double check you are on TDC!
Thanks for this video - very clear explanation and walking through the process always helps! Have a great day! 😀
Nice video
hi my friend, please tell me how often do you need to adjust the valves on a motorcycle guzzi, or should it be done simply as a preventive measure when you have time? I have a Vespa gts 300 that is 8 years old, I have never adjusted the valves and it works like new, thanks in advance! and I will be glad to see more videos on this topic about Moto guzzi,
Hey, thanks for checking out the video!
Valve check/adjustments should be done according to the maintenance schedule for each bike. This V7 is recommended every 10,000km (6250mi). This makes sure your valves are opening and closing at the exact moment they should.
Usually when the valves are out of spec, your bike will have trouble idling and starting. Ive seen bikes go way longer than the service interval and the valves still in spec, I’ve also seen valves way out before the service is suggested. Overall it is preventative maintenance but should be done at the correct intervals.
Good Video! Is this the same way Like the new V7 850ccm?
Yes the process should be the same, but I can’t confirm the clearances are the same. Should be located on the bike or in the manual.
Do you mean put it in the 6th gear? Since the V7 has 6 gears.
A v7 l only has 5 gears. 6 didn’t get added until v7 ll and v7 lll. This one in the video definitely is 6 since it’s a lll
Must be a USA thing to provide valve clearances. Australia gives you zero, nothing in manual nothing under seat.
Ouch, that's not good at all. Can find that online i guess....
Nope.
Nanny state Aus. 😒
