Journeys should’ve had an arc like this, where Ash, Goh, and Chloe go on a Journey across Galar and go through the Gym challenge and take on the league (or Galar Star Tournament) as training.

I think journeys should have just stayed with that formula, except they should also add another part of the story where before Ash gets his rank to the final 8, he needs to prove that he's worthy by beating all 8 galar gyms besides Bede, Opal and Raihan.
Maybe Goh and Chloe; there was a perfect opportunity to tie Goh to being one of the kids attending the same summer camp trip as Ash and Serena, and at least give Goh the dream of battling Ash as an equal.....NOPE.

Personally, I wish instead of choosing only one school to be canon, they had used both sets of uniforms divided up by a Harry Potter like house system.
well im pretty sure the pokemon are still gonna be canon, because ceruledge is shown early and a few other pokemon that are violet exclusive
@@Mr.Hellboi: I mean, obviously the Pokémon are still going to be canon. That was never in any doubt. Even in the games, all of the Pokémon exist, even if the player has to trade for exclusives.
It's more like, imagine if the old Advance cartoon had only made one of Team Magma/Aqua an enemy and the other an ally like in the Ruby/Sapphire games, instead of doing it like Emerald where both teams are equally bad.

Did people not like the formula Horizons was using beforehand? Because I think I prefer that over the same "Battle all the Gym Leaders and enter the Pokemon League" thing. Plus, if their quest to defeat all the gyms takes too long, then what about the 6 Heroes and Terapagos? Personally, I hope that they go through the Gym Challenge somewhat quickly so their real journey can continue.
Like the past "arcs" I think this should last maybe more or less 13-25 episodes.
You can consider this as a training arc.
Pokémon Adventures takes place at Uva, so at least each is canon in different adaptations
YES! It's about time we returned to the series roots! Don't get wrong I loved the way sun and moon did things but I've missed the traveling though the region story for a long time and I'm glad to see it back in full force now! Maybe there's a chance they'll run in ash at some point?!🤩

Here's my opinion on Galar. Some people loved that region & some people hated. I didn't care, but even I feel like the anime staff could've made a S&S anime that could've worked & make the region better. Wish the reat of the Galar gym leaders appeared, but we got Kabu in Horizons, so that's ok. A few more to go.
I do have an idea for a version of Sword and Shield as a sequel to Journeys ghat ties up lose ends from that arc.

I don’t think people should get their hopes up about seeing all the gym leaders or that it’s following the old formula. They only do a gym each as a terastal training assignment, aka a school test. After that they seem to be doing just research on Pokémon and exploring, but not the gym challenge.

i think depending on what version you play, one of arven’s parents is turned into an ai robot and nobody knows what happened to the other one. assuming horizons will follow the same storyline scarlet and violet did, we’ll probably see an ai sada and have no clue what happened to turo. so turo might exist, we just don’t know what happened to him.

I'd say both are canon but they chose scarlet as it suits the theme better plus the past paradox Pokémon are easier to put into canon because they're the extinct ancestors of the current Pokémon (yes I'm aware of them just being figments of someones imagination brought to life theory).

Not even all episodes of part one is out yet. The last episode of horizons in netflix right now, at last for me, is Fiery Galarian Moltress. But there are two more episodes that have come out in Japan that isn’t out anywhere else yet. Both part 2 and most of part 3 is also out in Japan.

Look, they easily could’ve kept Ash in the anime. It wasn’t getting as dry as they thought it was with the same get-badges-beat-the-champion story. I miss it already. I honestly didn’t think Journeys was that bad of a structure at all, with Ash finally taking his rightful role as the most experienced trainer of his group that he traveled with.
It ended because we came to the conclusion of Ash's character arc that was building since episode 1
I feel like that would be pretty boring when he’s now the world champion. Either it would have the same problem is in black and white when he suddenly becomes really bad again or he would be way too op.
