- Hi Guys, long time no see. This time I will melt the cans that haven't been melted before. In order to get the aluminum inside, a large box of cans will be melted into several aluminum ingots, which will not waste and is convenient for me to store.
The weather is good. I also have a new yard, which makes me very comfortable to study metal smelting. I heard that the introduction to metal smelting is to melt the pop can and get aluminum from it. I feel I can reach it.

@@ToAutoMaker i think there so much slag because of the paint on the cans
two very important things you need to do: 1: Apply rigidizer to all the white blanket material. The small micro shards that come off during use are extremely bad if you breath them in. 2: Get yourself a quality respirator designed for toxic gasses. You only have one set of lungs and you DO NOT WANT to get cancer in 10-20 years from this.

I wouldn't bother taking the crucible out when removing the dross then you can turn the burner back on and get a better pouring temperature. You need to seal that wool and get proper tongs for lifting and pouring, eventually your crucible will break around where the tongs are and it will happen at the worst time. I would throw the dross away your not missing much.
Ur furnace looks like it needs new insulation
