The reason why we find people who are at a healthy weight attractive is essentially because it's a fitness indicator. It's ingrained in ourselves after years of evolution. It's not a logical process, and attraction is not a choice. It essentially derives from the fact that if we were being attacked by a predator the people who were less fit would be killed first. Hence why when you look for a partner, to potentially have your children, the person who looks the fittest has the best chance of providing you with children with the best chance of survival. I know it's not the world we live in today, but we haven't caught up with those basic attraction indicators.

A certain body weight can make someone healthier so I am not sure why yout think that is a bad thing

Hi! First off, thank you for leaving a comment! Second, thank you for drawing my attention to the fact that I didn't really elaborate on the weight aspect in more detail. I will do a video about the relationship between weight and health soon and I can link it then if you'd be interested in seeing that. For now, I will answer in 2 parts:
      1. "A certain body weight can make someone healthier"
This is a bit of a misconception about weight but it's totally normal to think that. There are many indicators of health and some of them indicate health better than others. Weight is just one in that long list of health indicators. However, it is usually presented to us as the ONLY or the MOST important one. This is untrue. Research shows that weight is not the best indicator of health, in fact, it is rather low on the list of how well it predicts a person's health. Some more relevant parameters that indicate health better than weight does are: socioeconomic status, interpersonal relationships, and levels of stress. A thing to think about: is it really the weight that makes us healthier? Or is it the activities that we engage in? This leads me to my next point 👇🏻
      2. "I am not sure why yout think that is a bad thing"
I don't think it's a bad thing. To me, weight is neutral. Here's a fact: our body weight (and our bodies) change. This is just the reality of life. Now, the meaning that we give to these changes... is where we begin to encounter problems. This doesn't happen to everyone obviously, but it does to a lot of people (esp. women). Focusing on intentional weight loss is often the very thing that PREVENTS us from engaging in health-supporting behaviors such as exercising, eating a balanced diet, etc. Instead, we start engaging in behaviors that are detrimental to our health (but that we think, will lead to weight loss): dieting, restriction, overexercising, compensating for what we ate with exercise... this can breed a lot of self-hate and even spiral off into an ED.
There is nothing good or bad about weight. There are just our intentions and our actions. If our intention is to be healthier and our actions are that we start exercising and eating a serving more of veggies per week, or drinking a glass of water more per day - amazing. Will that lead to weight loss? I don't know. It may. It may not. The point is: the weight is not really relevant because if we feel healthier/more energized/more rested - we are achieving what we have set out to achieve with our actions. If health is really what we care about then it is cool to know that our health benefits more when we see weight as a potential side-effect of health-supporting behaviors, rather than a goal in and of itself.
Hope that explained it a bit better! If you want to do your own research on the topic, a good place to start would be Health At Every Size.
