- I just love the key of A - the open strings available make it perfect for fusing blues licks with a slight country twang if desired. I genuinely hope someone gets some benefit from my years of noodling in this key.
Happy jammin’ folks 😊

This is what I call a lesson. Polite and friendly, whilst being humble and deeply informative. There is more to learn here than I've seen in 100s of other videos. And I've been playing 25 years now. Credit to you 👌
Ah, thank you Jonathan! Really appreciated 👍
My thoughts exactly. Thanks!
Exactly Jonathon Anderson...he credited Arlen Roth and pedal steel. I'm a steel player and ya'll might want to rewind this lesson a few times LOTS of tips here folks...Thanks PSC!

Dude you are just golden 🎸 best YT guitar channel, no ego, affiliate links, “famous” yt friends etc just gems thx so much
Thank you so much Tim, I really appreciate that comment 👍
My friend, I've been noodling for 30+ years and never quite got how to properly play up and down the fret board. Until I found your video this morning. Completely obvious and utterly easy, but previous unspoken in such plain terms. Picture the root chord at different positions on the neck, play notes. I genuinely feel like something just clicked for me. Thanks a million Paul.
Well thank you Jeffery, I like how you summarised it. Appreciate you leaving such a nice comment, cheers 👍
CAGED system .. use it in every key and you will master your neck!
Well nobody has EVER taught this. I've been playing since 1998. Nobody, has ever ,gave me a "LEAP" LESSON AS THIS !
Thank you Very Much !
Thank you MindDezign, what a lovely comment. Cheers mate 👍
Lovely playing! And even kinder of you to reveal your "tricks!" You, sir, are one of the good ones!! Cheers!!
Well thank you Sammywhat 😊
Dude. I'm 4 minutes in and now I have to pause it and save for later to sit, learn and absorb. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing the gift and generously putting it out there to sharpen others that share the love.
Thank you Paul, delighted you like my video 👍
But regardless those theoretical considerations, your natural feeling of those musical nuances is simply amazing! 🥰
Well thank you Nikoo033, that is appreciated 🙏
simply lovely spending time with you, thank you for your insights!
Thank you Alan, cheers mate 😊
Paul this is so good. Amazing playing, comprehensive teaching and no ulterior motives. What a breath of fresh pure air. A subscriber for life. Bless you

So much good stuff in there, now saved to my “guitar - try this” playlist.
Excellent, delighted you liked the vid 👍
Great insight Paul, as always. Thank you !! The tone on that Tele is gorgeous.
Hi Amr! Hope you’re doing well and still enjoying your playing 😊.
Love these vids, its like 'copy and paste' for ears ! I mix up all the little bits together and always come up with something cool ! Cheers
A lot of great players don’t know what it’s called - but they surely know how to use it.
The wear on your fretboard explains how you get such a great sound - Paul you’re an awesome musician, and a great teacher.
Ah, what a lovely compliment. Thanks G S 🙏
Thoroughly enjoyed that lesson thank you and that sound with the tele is exceptional☺️
Thanks Rory, delighted you like my Tele tone 😊👍
Fantastic knowledge and playing. Thank you.
Hey Paul-Outstanding-You Always Point Me In A New Direction..After 50 Years! Thank You
Thank you Anthony! Makes me smile to think my wee vids are helping 😊
No matter what you say, you play beautifully AND you are really good! I enjoyed your video and learned a great deal from it. Thanks!
Wow - so glad I found your channel Paul! I too love open string keys esp. A, E, D...wherever I can find them. You really opened my eyes and help pave some new ways for me to approach my playing. Very lovely, subtle and dynamic tones. Your desire for someone to get benefit from your techniques and "tricks" has definately been attained by me! Thank you so much for sharing - you are a very kind and modest talent. I am looking forward to working on this content and more of your videos. Best - Bob
Thank you so much Bob, what a lovely comment! It’s such a warming thought to read that I’m helping other players. Cheers Bob 👍
Oh my!! Sensational. Thanks for your videos. I bought a katana 100 mk 2 about a year ago and could never set it up to sound any good to my ears and became very frustrated with it. You changed everything and I'm now getting the best tones ( for home playing ) I've had in 35 years of playing!! Thanks so much. I have a blues jnr and various pedals but have never been really sure how to dial in the correct settings to best compliment each other at sensible volumes. Thank you for helping everyone!
Wow, thank you so much Russell, what a lovely comment 🙏
There’s something magical about using the words “a cheeky wee…” before describing what you’re playing. We need more of that kind of thing on the Tube. Immaculate playing as ever, Paul.
Well thank you Mr Dunsy! 🤣
I really appreciate your taste in phrasing and great instruments. Thank you for your content.
