Today we dive back into Queen "Dead On Time" from their seventh studio album JAZZ, released on November 10, 1978 ! What Do Ya'll Think of this Deep Cut Classic ?! IG: reaction_extraction
You should listen to more Early Queen they are very heavy and Instrumental, another fast pulsing your breath song😅 is "Stone Cold Crazy" live at the Rainbow🤟 it's a must, its epic👏👏👏
OMG!! I can’t believe you guys are reacting to DEAD ON TIME!! I constantly request this song on reaction channels. YESSSS .. Speed Metal Queen!! The thunderstorm at the end was recorded by Brian May from his backyard! ⚡️⛈💦 Love this song!! Thank you so much!! BRIGHTON ROCK 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This song just kicks so much ass... I fucking love when Queen goes full on metal! Curiosa, the lightning striking the studio was actually real lightning. It wasn't a studio effect! You gotta listen to the heavy stuff guys! Queen has LOADS of heavy songs!
@@reactionextraction Do the early Syd Barrett stuff, then explain about Syd. Then do "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". Skip the "Dark Side..." stuff that everybody does. Overrated album. Do some of the heavier stuff.
The guitar is filthy, the drums are incredible. The song in its frenzy describes how crazy life is when you spend the whole time chasing money, in a hurry to move ahead and win, and before you know it - you leave at your time, you're dead.
I personally love this song and it's definitely a hidden gem many people skip out , Jazz album has some really good songs which i personally think gets overshadowed by Don't Stop Me Now and Fat Bottomed Girls While i don't really hate ''Radio Gaga'' , when i first heard it , it was definitely in the bottom of my favourite queen songs But it grew on me as i watched them perform it live , especially the performance at Live Aid , Freddie Mercury 's stage presence is unmatched and it became one of my favourite songs Maybe you could step away from the hard rock queen songs and 'muddy'' mixing as he called it and listen to something more stripped back , Maybe try My Melancholy Blues(Official Lyrics Video) or You Take My Breath Away live in hyde park 1976 , Love Of My Life Live at Wembley is another great choice
Ive always liked radio Ga Ga, not sure why everyone seems to hate it 😎 Live Queen on the way soon which will be great for Ty to see the legends in action 😎😎
Queen has so much high quality music in the first seven albums that any kind of "best of" is a joke. You can't do Queen any kind of justice if you don't listen to the whole kit at least a few times.
Their first three albums are much heavier than the hits your dad is familiar with. You should make a point of checking those albums out. They were very experimental with their sound / studio work. Awesome. Especially with headphones.
Excellent deep cut from Queen, What Ty needs to remember is that this music is pre digital there was no auto tuning and it was recorded on tape, It's the imperfections of older music which make it perfect and identifiable to a particular artist, STONE COLD CRAZY there is a 2021 remaster
That was the oddest compliment I have heard about Queen in a long while - "That was nice." FOUR words immediately come to mind: LIAR, STONE COLD CRAZY! Gotta look big picture - inside the whole frame.
No More of That Jazz, Great King Rat, Son and Daughter, Gimme the Prize, Hitman, Action This Day live, Staying Power also live, Don't lose your head, We will rock you fast version, Let me Entertain you, You don't fool me, Dragon Attack and so on...
great reaction guys ! Do both of you know "Now I'm here" by the band ? , for me the best Rock song Queen did , was a U.K single in 1974 and was on the superb "Sheer Heart Attack" album from same year (to save you googling lol )
QUEEN 1 QUEEN 2 Sheer Heart Attack, QUEEN Rocks, QUEEN at The Beeb, QUEEN at the BBC, QUEEN Rough Cuts , QUEEN Deep Cuts. QUEEN All Around was Very Heavy, and Alot of Fantasy to it.
I don't mean to wind you up but I sometimes wish you Dad ran this channel on your own , your boys comment's make me want to pull out what's left of my thinning hair 😤
Ha, Absolutely a Fair and Truly Great Comment 😳 😎 and yes it can drive me Bonkers sometimes, but good or bad, right or wrong I still want to know what Ty thinks. That's the whole generation gap / unfiltered thing. If I did the show by myself I would be like "This song is so great" all the time and that would probably be boring ya know. Stop pulling your hair out, he'll come around, or maybe he won't on some IDK but its interesting to me 😎✌🏼✌🏼
Nice reaction! Try reacting to Queen live, they were awesome live. Check out Father To Son - Queen live at the Rainbow 1974, Liar - Queen live at the Rainbow 1974. For some studio material try, My Fairy King - Queen, The Millionaire Waltz - Queen, See What A Fool I ve Been - Queen at the BBC.
This is seriously one of Queens most underrated songs. "Jazz" was actually a pretty good album, with Dead on Time and Let me entertain you being another two great songs. They're really overshadowed by Don't stop me now and Fat bottomed girls, and maybe even bicycle race? anyways, Queen has so many underrated songs it's not even funny.
I was a Queen fan long before it became fashionable. 1982 got to finally see them, 4th row THE Boston Garden. Same place where we watched Bobby Orr and Larry Bird. I was about a " first down" from Freddy's white baby grand with the nursed Heineken atop. Curiously I also hate Radio Gaga. Observing the young creature on the left led to real interesting mind minutia. I never knew, for example, that Cannabis could reduced the human pulse to minus one beat per minute. I was aware that it had hallucinatory properties e.g. a stoner on a couch believing he's way ahead of the curve vs. Queen on everything from backing vocals to, the crux of it all , MIXING! You betcha! If they just knew how to MIX back then, who knows? "Dead on Time" could have contained all the energy, drive, dynamics and power of a fantastic piece of music! Such a shame . Got me thinking that one serious New Millennial Mixdown could bring a heart rate close to a deuce per minute! Damn .They were so close to the MAGIC. .Ah well. What can ya do? I'm gonna go mix some television now.
The meaning of the album title Jazz doesn't refer to music. It refers to insincere or exaggerated talk. Example: Don't give me any of that jazz about your great music! It refers to the last song on the album called All of That Jazz by Roger Taylor. Sung by him as well, it is a great song. 80s Queen became more pop oriented on the whole with synthesizers that were popular at the time. When it came time to go on tour they made the songs rock out. Watch any 80s live Queen concert and you will see that the songs you didn't like much become rock songs with huge punch and great guitar solos. I Want To Break Free at Wembley 1986 has great guitar as does Action this Day live at the Bowl 1982. Early Queen is heavier. Liar and Stone Cold Crazy (which was covered by Metallica) and Ogre Battle Live at the Rainbow 1974 are great examples of early 70s heavy Queen. I'm not a big fan of studio Radio Gaga myself but in concert it is a huge favourite.
Мои любимые вещи Queen- это Great King Rat, Liar, Modern Times R'n'R, Son And Daughter, Father To Son, Ogre Battle, Brighton Rock, Stone Cold Crazy, Now I' m Here, Death On Two Legs, Sweet Lady, The Prophets Song, Tie Your Mother Down , Long Away, White Man, We Will Rock You Fast, Sheer Heart Attack,It's Late, Let Me Entertain You, DEAD ON TIME, If You Can't Beat Theme, More Of That Jazz, Fat Bottomed Girls , Mustapha, Dragon Attack, Rock It, Put Out The Fire Action This Day, Staying Power Live Version,The Hero, Tear It Up, I Go Crazy, Hammer To Fall and more .....
As a Queen fan , I can honestly say that apart from Somebody to love, there's no other hit that makes my top 10 , try ... Stone Cold Crazy live Brighton Rock Ogre battle It's late White Queen March of the black Queen
That kid to the left would'nt acknowledge the greatness of a pyramid standing right in front of it. You expose yourself. The mixes Queen made in the 70s with very limited equipment compared with today has stood the test of time. That is proven. Dead on Time is a rocker and was supposed to be a bit "dirty". Name one hit from todays charts that will be relevant in 40 years? Songs doesnt stand out anymore unfortunately. And let it be clear: Queen's music from the 70s were extremely well mixed with the technology available. Last remaster was in 2011. The songs sound like they are supposed to.
Hey.. if you like heavier rock - you would certainly prefer Brian & Roger's collaborations (Holy speed, Batman!)... still, kid looks bored...Queen not for everyone... lol...
You should listen to more Early Queen they are very heavy and Instrumental, another fast pulsing your breath song😅 is "Stone Cold Crazy" live at the Rainbow🤟 it's a must, its epic👏👏👏
Yep ... Were getting that Vibe from viewers, so think next Queen will be early old school 😎😎

Yes 😎!! great suggestion and your right, more heavy stuff! We both really liked it. Now the next question is where should we start with Pink Floyd ??
@@reactionextraction Do the early Syd Barrett stuff, then explain about Syd. Then do "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". Skip the "Dark Side..." stuff that everybody does. Overrated album. Do some of the heavier stuff.
With Queen do some songs from "Sheer Heart Attack"! He'll appreciate the mixing I think!
I didn’t know this one one, either, but that guitar was SMOKIN’!!! 🤘
The guitar is filthy, the drums are incredible. The song in its frenzy describes how crazy life is when you spend the whole time chasing money, in a hurry to move ahead and win, and before you know it - you leave at your time, you're dead.

While i don't really hate ''Radio Gaga'' , when i first heard it , it was definitely in the bottom of my favourite queen songs
But it grew on me as i watched them perform it live , especially the performance at Live Aid , Freddie Mercury 's stage presence is unmatched and it became one of my favourite songs
Maybe you could step away from the hard rock queen songs and 'muddy'' mixing as he called it and listen to something more stripped back , Maybe try My Melancholy Blues(Official Lyrics Video) or You Take My Breath Away live in hyde park 1976 , Love Of My Life Live at Wembley is another great choice

I know the generational music gap is wide, Kids today 😳 all I can do is try ya know, ha 😎😎
I like your suggestions and how about Sheer Heart Attack. I also suggest Hammer to Fall especially for its brilliant lyrics.
When you hear that guitar, that's Brian May
No more of that Jazz, from album Jazz, and you will see where Master of Puppets main riff comes from.
great reaction guys ! Do both of you know "Now I'm here" by the band ? , for me the best Rock song Queen did , was a U.K single in 1974 and was on the superb "Sheer Heart Attack" album from same year (to save you googling lol )

I have never heard this song either. Listen to alot of queen
GIMME THE PRIZE by Queen from the Highlander movie soundtrack 🍿
Two songs your son may connect with are Dragon Attack in Montreal and Stone Cold Crazy at the Rainbow .
Great reactions! Should react to 'Gimme The Prize' or 'The Hitman' or 'Headlong' ... I guess. 👑🎸 Cheers 🥂
Cheers from Dallas 😎😎
Check out 1968 to 1976 QUEEN
Love your choice Dad,never heard this before

Ha Great Point 😎
Bicycle race is still good. Even a miracle that it became pretty popular
I juat love this one. It's one of my favorite Queen pieces.
Dad on time 😂👍

Fab comments 😎 the old Boston Garden experience with Queen sounds epic!

It's late

I agree about Radio Gaga, try Dragon Attack Montreal or studio version, if you don't like it, you'll never appreciate Queen, so sorry for you, lol
I like the fact that someone is honest about not liking Queen - so many over the top reactions around!
Ty isn't liking Queen much yet, but I'm trying ha 😎😎 some stuff he's just never gonna like.
Stone Cold Crazy was covered by Metallica
No kidding, Fabulous 😎😎 We'll check it out !
That's a bit in my book, Brian May killed it
Radio GaGa. JUST DONT KNOW AND JUST DONT CAR:)
If he likes harder you need to go back to the early Queen
