    The bookmarks of Freddie's career Bohemian Rhapsody and Innuendo 💛👑 this was never performed live cause Freddie was real sick making this.

    • @bobbwc7011
      @bobbwc7011 Pƙed rokem

      But it was recorded in live takes. They used a large amount of microphones in a specific spatial arrangement and played segments live, instruments with vocals, not at all like they recorded before (instrument tracks first, then background vocals, then lead vocals). This why it sounds like it was played in a big hall.

    Yes thankyou đŸ™ŒđŸ» One of my favs đŸ”„ Freddie was already very sick, but his voice in this song amazingly spinechilling. The lyrics are very strong and still actual till this day. They made some deep stuff, and their music is timeless. Keep up the good work my man and much bless.

    This is such a moving song in many ways. It touches deep into man's mistakes, but positive in that we should keep on trying to make it right...till the end of time. Freddie's vocals are piercing at times. As a life long fan of Queen, even though Freddie nailed it...I could hear a bit of weakness too. Towards he end of his life, Freddie did some very thought provoking music. Guide Me Home, and all the songs with Monserrat Cabelle will blow you away. Freddie and Queen were ground breakers. None of their songs sounded like the others. Check out a younger Fredddie in 1974...White Queen, live at Hammersmith...it will show you all of Freddie's skills.

    This music video won the Monitor Award for Achievement in Music Video filming at the Brit Music Awards. Amazing song! The flamenco guitar was played by Steve Howe from the band YES. The only non-Queen member to play on a Queen album. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) “tried” to sing Innuendo at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in ‘92. I said tried cuz it didn’t rise to the occasion but kudos to Robert for donating his time & talents to celebrate Freddie. Although, I thought his rendition of Crazy Little Thing Called Love w/Queen was pretty good.

      "it didn't rise to the occasion" -- HE SLAUGHTERED IT, HE DESTROYED IT, IT WAS TERRIBLE. That's why they never dared playing it live later.

    Yes we have become a very complacent society.
    That’s why this song and others stand the test of time. The themes are universal. And seemingly never ending.

  • @DoctorUmbra

    That spanish guitar solo was played by the great Steve Howe from YES. Brian did not want to fuck that up so he asked him to play it. And it was the absolute right fucking call, this song's now immortal.

    • @roverwaters3875
      @roverwaters3875 Pƙed 6 měsĂci

      Steve played the chromatic runs and the (exceptional) flourishes on the flamenco section, but most of the solo was still Brian (both the 'acoustic' and the 'electric' bits).

    This is very meaningful, I especially like the words remove your masks. Today everyone seems so fake, following the crowd, afraid to stand out. Freddie/Queen were not afraid to be different from the status quo, they were great because they were different, their music had no boundaries. Perfection ❀❀

    • @donny1960
      @donny1960 Pƙed 2 lety +6

      My take is a little different. The verse starts "If there's a God or any justice under the Sun, If there's a point or reason to live or die, if there's an answer to the questions we feel bound to ask, Show yourself, destroy OUR fears , release your mask." He is not asking us to reveal ourselves. He is challenging God to not be so mysterious and reveal Himself. The Show yourself , then destroy our fears.........makes it sound like a challenge to an outside entity. Plus Freddie was dying. Would it not be reassuring to a dying man that there definitely is something beyond.?

    • @deboraclark5791
      @deboraclark5791 Pƙed 2 lety +1

      @@donny1960 Freddie's music had many references to God. Freddie obviously believed there is a God. Jim Hutton in a interview with Irish radio said Freddie would say prayers before sleeping. Jim said the first time he heard it, Freddie was whispering, and Jim asked him what he was doing, Freddie said, I'm saying my prayers. I know some people do not believe Freddie believe in God because he was Bisexual or Gay, but that's not the case. People say he wasn't religious, you don't have believe in a man made religion to believe in God. I agree with your remarks, I think Freddie was also referencing God, but at the same time letting people know not to fear and take a stand.
