THIS is one of my FAVORITE Queen songs. As a Drummer, you can just FEEL this song building to the final crescendo and climactic ending...just a beautifully dramatic song, and you can feel the emotion in Freddy's voice (like ALL Queen songs) building throughout the song. Took me a few times to learn the triplet ending note-for-note, but well worth the time spent !! Great great song !!

Queen is incredible! Freddy Mercury was musically talented in every single way. He wrote Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics and music himself. Then we have lead guitarist Brian May who graduated in 1974 earning his BSc(Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors, Mathematicsand Physics) and he immediately began working on his doctorate. With the the rise to fame and popularity as a founding member of Queen, the intense tour schedule the band had, he put his extended higher learning on hold...for 37 years. In May of 2006 he re-registered to earn his doctorate at his Alma Mater, Imperial College. In May 2007 he submitted his thesis
"A Survey of Radial Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud" was approved in September 2007.
Royal Albert Hall on 14 May 2008. Brian H. May, Ph.D Astrophysicist. That is damned impressive!
Bryan "Dexter" Holland, Ph.D, from The Offspring on lead vocals, guitar and piano. Holland was awarded his Ph.D. in molecular biology during the USC Commencement on May 12, 2017. How cool are these two, Brian and Bryan?!?~APRIL LIPKE

Queen have a lot of underrated tracks, especially from the 1970s. But with many artists, when your biggest album is a Greatest Hits album, many will just stick with that and not go any further, which is a sad shame. Everyone knows Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust, Under Pressure, Somebody To Love, We Will Rock You, Radio Gaga, and plenty more, but there are many many more track in between those that don't get any recognition. Start checking out some of their deep cuts from the 1970s like The March Of The Black Queen, Teo Torriatte, The Prophet's Song, Death On Two Legs, Ogre Battle, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Son And Daughter, and pretty much anything off their first 5 albums!

That is probably the reason! I never thought of that.

I just saw this video, but this is one of my favorite Queen songs. Like the best kept secret in their back catalogue. Along with Black Queen, Ogre Battle, and '39.

Omg!!! I love this track and it’s one of the least known as queen songs. This and melancholy blues are probably my two most favorite songs off this album. Sheer heart attack is without a doubt the hardest rocking of all of Queens songs. Thanks for checking this out and I hope you enjoyed it.

Queen has a lot of great tunes that are popular as well. This is one of those that not everyone is familiar with. It’s my favorite song by them. You found a deep cut. Great song. Great reaction.

Thank you thank you thank you .....one of my favourite Queen tracks .. written by Brian May .... there's so many great album tracks that were never singles , a lot of their best work is overlooked by the amazing chart singles they put out . Please re act to Brighton Rock , pre Bohemian Rhapsody, from the Sheer Heart Attack album . Love you channel 😁❤ Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and all your family 🎄🎄🤶🤶🎅🎅☃️☃️🧑‍🎄🧑‍🎄 PS ....Freddie accused Brian of trying to break his voice when they were recording this , all tongue in cheek though 😁 difficult vocals on it x

Best album by Queen. Have been playing it solid for 44 years. Sleeping on the sidewalk AND Melancholy Blues are fantastic songs. Give 'em a try.

Though I've long been a Queen fan, I've only just bought News of the world on LP. Didn't really know It's late until now. My God, what a song! Early Queen never disappoints! There was nothing they couldn't do, and do brilliantly well.

You have to listen to The Prophet's Song. With the full headphones. Pure eargasm.
Also, '39, which is a whole science fiction story, and Brian May does the lead vocals. Might be my favorite. Both of those from Night at the Opera.
They don't have a bad song, of course.

    • @aylbdrmadison1051

_Prophet's Song_ is perhaps my favorite Queen song ever. But yea _"they don't have a bad song"_ so it's hard to choose just one. _39'_ is fantastic too and really showcases just how talented and versatile of a band they were.
I also love _Death on Two Legs._ And having grown up as a guitarist in the Bay Area thrash-metal scene in the 80's, one of my favorites _Ogre Battle_ witch has a serious thrash-metal-esque main riff that I love. Nope, no bad songs.

  • @brianorzel1873

Back in the 70's, if the studio didn't release a song as a single (those little 45 RPMs with the big hole in the middle), it didn't get much play on the radio stations. So, unless you bought the whole album, you didn't get to hear this song, and many other amazing songs...

totally agree with you! we couldn't all afford the albums, so those A & B sides were critical for the musicians to get their songs out there.
