No two songs from Queen sound alike. They were very unique and they are pretty much their own genre.
Oh yes...time for the bass and guitar to shine! If you have time, you might want to check it out LIVE at Montreal, 1981. The way Queen adapted this song for the stage is unreal. I was at that concert...these 4 incredible musicians were on FIRE! I'll never forget that concert...Queen is just MAGIC on stage...a band that is meant to be seen live. You may have already reacted to "Somebody to Love" from that concert...other greats are Save Me, Tie Your Mother Down, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions....the list goes on! The Milton Keynes concert, 1982 from about the same time frame is also fantastic. If nothing else, watch their opening to that concert which is amaaaaazing - Hero/We Will Rock You (fast version). You two are GREAT...always love catching your reactions. Thanks for this one!
Brian May wrote this song which explains the killer guitar lines and heavy bass. John Deacon said this was his favorite song to play live...yeah, that bassline rocks! Thank you for your reactions.
Love this song---BUT the live version in Montreal 1981 is really fun.
That bass line is just one of many iconic bass lines from John Deacon. Queen took many genres of music and mixed them with rock. Freddie could change his voice to suit any style. There are so many brilliant album tracks.
Funky as all hell!! Queens versatility is unmatched!! Glad you guys finally got around to this one!!
Just as funky as ""Another One Bites the Dust" but with an even sexier groove imo. I'm thrilled that you did the studio version, it's so crisp in crackles. BUT we'd love to see you react to them performing it live (Montreal 1981).
Each bandmember gets their moment to shine & each one is SO damn good. You see them as individuals & as the fantastic whole package that they were.
"Dragon Attack" is one of those songs that deserves to be reacted to in both forms. Please do it!
💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙
Great album, The Game. So much variety from Queen. That's what I love most about them. Epic
I have the DVD-Audio disc of this album. It's great hearing it in surround. This is my favorite album of there's.
I don't usually play "air bass" (like air guitar, obviously) but I always get the urge when I hear Dragon Attack, Another One Bites the Dust, and Under Pressure. Iconic bass lines. Bless John Deacon.
My favorite Queen song... period! Thanks guys! Thumping bass, blistering guitars, and Freddie Mercury doin what he do!
We just to blast this! Song is practically forgotten these days.
This was from 1980 The Game album. My favourite queen song next to Great King Rat
John Deacon** bass. The album cover os from 1980. A throwback to the 50s look
This track needs to be watched of them doing this live...
Aside from Freddie's amazing vocals, Bri, Rogy and Deacy did an amazing job! The bass solo, the guitar solo and the drums solo is just spectacular
"The Game"is Freddie's favorite album! It was a long night at the studio with lots of beverages. The reference to the Shack is the "Sugar Shack" where they used to hang out in Munich. Mack was their producer who kinda had a grip on Freddie by including him in his family, an environment Freddie longed for so much. Reinhold Mack's son is named after Freddie who is also the Godfather together with John Deacon.- And I assume I don't have to explain "The Dragon".- Love from this Queenie across the Pond ❣❣
Freddie was younger when he sang Bohemian Rhapsody and a lot of other famous Queen songs from the 70s. This song is from 1980 so he was still young but it's not among their earliest work.
This is my favorite song from Queen's entire catalog. This is from "The Game" (which is also my favorite album) which came out in 1980. If you want to hear it live, check out Queen Rock Montreal.
From that same album, there is a song called Rock It,Prime Jive, performed exclusively by the drummer , Roger Taylor. He did every instrument and vocals in the studio. It's a great tune. He's had Freddy sing the lead in at the beginning of the song. It's my personal favorite song on the Game album.
This song kicks ass, especially the bass...one of my favorites from them!
My favorite Queen Album
This song had its roots in a jam session among the bandmates while warming up/ brainstorming song ideas in the studio.
Once they decided it was worth developing, Brian May strung the ideas together into a structured whole and wrote up the lyrics.
John Deacon has been quoted as naming "Dragon Attack" as his favorite song to play in concert.
This song is from 1980, the same album as "Another One Bites the Dust".
The Game album was huge in 🇺🇸 Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Another One Bites The Dust both went to number one.
Do the live version at "Rock Montreal"
This is my favorite 80’s Queen song. It’s cool that you’re venturing out from the big hits.
One of my favorites! This one was born during a drunk session basically hahaha. Turns out they can drink and create at the same time, the little geniuses!! 😅
Thank you! Queen - the best forever! You will never go wrong with this band. Keep reacting to them, please👌
Great album got it the day it came out😊
OMG .. LOVE THIS SONG! 🐉🔥 “It’s hot .. it’s mean” 🔥
The Game is my favourite Queen album and it's full of bangers like this song.
Queen can rock like no other. This is a deep track nobody ever plays... Why?
I don't know, it's my favorite as well!
The live version of this from Montreal 1980 will take your head off!
@@vinniemoran7362 THIS 100%
Right?!! Happens with other bands as well..
@@vinniemoran7362 December 1981 to be exact.
Noooooo!!...you need to do a live version to do this song justice.....I need to see Freddie strutting his stuff.....make amends...pleeeaaassse!😂
Studio always better!!
Another awesome song from Queen. 🎸❤️🔥
My favorite Queen tune. The bassline is sick. I did rollerskate to this a LOT.
Great song and if you liked this you will Love their Ogres Battle off their 2nd album. Their first few albums have some other hard rock gems that have been under reacted to like Liar, Hammer to Fall and Brighton Rock. Their most savage live clip for me is the 3 minute rush of 1974 Modern Times Rock n Roll, a blast of power and glory from them, you really don't know Queen until you check out the early stuff, it is awesome! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I saw another Queen reaction with a song I'd actually forgotten about, that you'd love if you like the rhythm section - the drums and bass are sick, and very different from what you usually hear from them. "Get Down Make Love" is the song. You guys should check it out.
This was done in 1980, so 10 years after they formed. It came from the 1980 album "The Game" which is a great album IMO.
You should watch the video of this song. Freddie doing his strut!!!
Nothing better than it!!!
How about doing "I Want It All" by Queen? This is a very underrated song by them. It's an anthem song, just like "We Will Rock You", and "We Are The Champions". One of those songs that unites all people singing together.
Asia & BJ, you'll love their "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "You’re My Best Friend"!!!
My all time favorite Queen song. And that’s saying A TON.
BJ if you like the bass, on the album this goes right into the opening bass for Another One Bites the Dust. This album came out 7 years after their first album. Their early stuff leaned more towards Zeppelin.
Thank you for checking out the album version. BJ is so locked in.
This came from the same album as Another One Bites the Dust. The Game was their 8th studio album
From the album The Game.John Deacon on bass. Great tune!
Brian really shines on this one. His tone is sublime!
They Really Evolved from their earlier music....Yep!
Omg i thought that I was the only person who liked this song because it was never popular. Great song and thanks for the review 👍💪🙏
Always loved that groove 🤘🤘
Cool, I used to play along with my Tupperware drum set to this song back in the early eighties.❤ I will take this over Bohemian Rhapsody any day.
The live version from Montreal is Epic!!!
that's what funk rock fusion should sound like! slithering and powerful like an dragon!
I would be inclined to call it a song with groove. I mean I can see what you're saying about the funk thing but I don't know if I'd call it funk definitely groove though especially because of that baseline. I love the way it's mixed because for a rockish type song you can really hear every instrument and when that lead guitar come in when it did I jumped I don't remember it being that loud. They always seem to mix the lead guitar pretty loud over the music which most rock music nowadays don't even do that everything's kind of watered-down you know like we don't want to hurt your ears LOL...
By the way thank you for playing this jam because I completely forgot about it... I haven't heard this in freaking years !
Yes indeed! The Game = Great album
John Deacon is so overlooked. He actually wrote most of their biggest hits. This song gives all members a great chance to shine though.
There can never be another Queen or Freddy Mercury ever ! I am at a loss for words to describe them , simply fantastic and brilliant !!
Where's Freddie?? Don't you realize that the best thing about a Queen song is watching Freddie move around the stage? I realize that some songs don't have a video, but please, please use the ones that do!
My favorite song on this album is Rock it (Prime Jive).
Favorite Queen song thanks for the reaction
My favourite is Dragon Attack live Montreal it’s amazing 🤩
I saw The Game tour in 81 it was incredible to see the original band.
John gets a turn at showing-off!
I ADORE this song. So glad you enjoyed it. Everyone got a moment to shine in it. This album is terrific. It was experimental. Have you done Crazy Little Thing Called Love?
I agree the bass is on fire. You have to watch a live version to feel it all.
Read on old sci fi book called "Tiger in the Stars" by Zack Hughes. It was a story of a man whose mysteriously "transplanted" into the computer core of a vast starship of enormous power far out in interstellar space. Read it in '82 as i would listen to this song and it was a perfect match with the deacriptions of the starship would do combat with an unseen enemy vessel stalking it/him out among the stars and Brian May's hot guitar licks matched the exotic descriptions of powerful energy weapons streaking out into the cold of interstellar space and the scenes in which they would break into lightspeed in an explosions of multi-colored panels of light
Love this song
This was Earlier...Please do
Freddie..."In My Defense " 💗
Cool cat is real funky. And f’d the hot space album. Worth a listen. Thanks to both of you. Happy new year 🎆
the Game was the first time Freddie began to take the band into the funkier music, fresh at the time, and even more in the next album, Hot Space, which was mostly BASHED by the (white) critics and "rock" fans alike.
so great to finally now see the appreciation from a wide spectrum of music lovers to their music from this period.
i love their rock stuff...but their funkier, more soulful tracks have always been part of my all time fave jams.
y'all should check these out:
Cool Cat
Life Is Real
Under Pressure (i'm sure u familiar with this one)
Back Chat
You guys should check out Dragon attack live at montreal 1981. They killed it there
shuks ! Should have done the live DVd version from Montreal. That's the one you want to react to ! ; )
This is my favorite Queen track
For a nice change of pace try "All Dead, All Dead" Queen changed style almost every song.
This song is so good that anyone reviewing this song should listen to, again and again to find out what makes this a truly remarkable song.
Some tunes are worth many listens to and they are. Blah blah
Nope. This is 1980. For young Queen. Checkout tracks like... Ogre Battle, The March of the Black Queen, Looser In The End, Someday One day, & Stone Cold Crazy. The Game was their 8th, studio album.
Queen is eternal.
GUYS….
The BEST version of this is by-far…
LIVE AT MONTREAL IN 1981
Thank you for this Queen reaction
I don't think I've heard of this one, pretty cool.
If you want more bassline queen songs?! Please react to the queen songs ' you don' t fool me' ' the invisible man' and ' breakthru' i wish a very good time with these 3 great queen songs
I was in this stream and know y’all ready to get it! So funky! That’s my favorite vibe in most any genre- And when the funk is there, I’m gonna catch it! 🙂💃💃love this song! About to watch 💖💙
This song was covered by a local 80s band. Called Sugarcreek. On their Live At The Roxy album from 81. Check it out. Good cover too. They were from North Carolina.
You should react to the transition from this into ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ from ‘The Game [1980]’!!
Yesssss!
Such a jam.
You should listen to Cosmos Rock with Queen and Paul Rodgers as lead singer
If you want to hear more mean baa check out Liar at the Rainbow.
Love your reactions, I've been a fan since 1974, and you must react to now I'm here, live at Wembley 1986 it will blow your mind. Xxx

🤘🏾.. hitting different again
Hi. This is one you need to see ✌🏼
1980, same year as Another one bites the dust, same album, same vibe. Album Cover (The Game) with black jackets is taken from video of Crazy Little Thing called love, whcih is on the same album.
Che voule Quests musical stasera .a beautiful Italian song from the movie oceans 12
I think he was around 35 when they recorded this.
You need to react to White Man by Queen! That song is something else frfr🖤
React to this song live 1981 Montreal. I believe sound way better live.
nice !
Queen goes rap?
Why don't u react this song as live in Montreal 1981
Watch the live one Montreal 81
Queen 🐉 Attack; EASILY ONE of my favorite Queen tunes 💎
