As someone from the eastcoast, and having lived in all of the Tx triangle, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin. Definitely was a hunt to find AA in Austin and San Antonio. Houston ranks first for me. More diverse, with AA, food and activities, and personally career wise. Im in Healthcare.
This video really resonated with me. I just moved to Houston from Austin to see if I like it any better. There are SO many black people here but Austin had a much better vibe. Growing up in California, I never felt so out of place until I moved to Houston. As a mixed woman I am appalled to say my fellow black people are very unwelcoming and come with hostility. I will definitely take my ass back to San Diego at the end of my lease.
I’m mixed too.. Moved to Austin from Sacramento to and agree with 100% of what you said. Been here for two years and I’m heavily leaning towards moving back. No diversity, passive aggressive looks, fake wokeness. I usually do really well on dating apps- don’t get nearly the same amount of attention here. Just over it all- not a great city for black people. I lived in San Diego for four years as well- I would move back there if I were you in a heartbeat
Great video Anais. I visited Houston and still can't over the quality and taste of the food - it was awesome. I visited the NASA space station and loved visiting the neighborhoods that housed larger than life homes (not mansions, just big azz houses lol). I've never been to Austin, however, it was interesting learning about the city through your video..keep up the good work - i try to watch as much as I can when time permits and I'm not inhibited by work!! I love the content!! love you darling!
We briefly lived in Austin and, while I enjoyed it, my family did not. I agree with everything you mentioned and think it's a pretty city.
She’s back 🤩🤩
Very well spoken.
I hung out in Austin 11 years ago shad a blast. I’m not surprised with what you said 😅
The ending caught me slacking😂. Great video though! Do you plan on potentially relocating to Houston next? I hear that's where the culture at frfr
I’ve visited Houston and enjoyed it but don’t think I see myself living there!
Great video❤❤❤
Hey there. You are correct. I lived there for over a year and didn't find a real connection in/to the city. I found the traffic, heat and lack of diversity insufferable.
I think the phrase you are looking for is performative wokism
I have a question. What’s the opposite of gentrification? Is that bad or good?
Come to Dallas. More diversity here
Just moved from there 🤣
@@anaisdottavio ayyeeee. How are you liking it? I've been in bishop arts for a year now
Go to 6th street
Hard pass 😂
