Hate to say this but in Texas especially Houston and Dallas it is the Mexican community that are the racists. Never had a problem with or getting a job with white people but had the MOST ignorant experiences with Mexicans. Was really shocked by that.

Great video! I know this video is a year old, but there are more people walking around downtown during the daytime on Saturdays and Sundays, especially in the afternoon, since more people are out and about on those days.

I have no issue walking to things and I live in the middle of downtown. The public trans is good here you can get anywhere you need to go using Public trans. I take the train all the way to my office in Richardson.

10:35 MDT. Healthcare is big in DFW metroplex. Gay area in Dallas proper is very nice-expensive. Traffic is terrible!!! Loved living there for 25 yrs.

This video really resonated with me. I just moved to Houston from Austin to see if I like it any better. There are SO many black people here but Austin had a much better vibe. Growing up in California, I never felt so out of place until I moved to Houston. As a mixed woman I am appalled to say my fellow black people are very unwelcoming and come with hostility. I will definitely take my ass back to San Diego at the end of my lease.

The title is interesting to me because Dallas has a large black population.

I was at work doing so much extra stuff, excited and out . I would come in early and leave late, yet i was noticing so much change and zero accountability. My wife just gave birth and i had six weeks off....my mental health which i ignored was highly improved. I had time to reflect on everything, and i mean everything. My wife has told me to leave, yet at 43, i find myself in an awkward place of transition. Even when i job search i don't see my field the same......glad you did whats best for yourself and your health.

Gotta say, this was a nicely laid out vid. Watched the whole thing in one sitting no distractions, i know that sounds odd, but crafting a thoughtful dialogue like this without bloat takes some skill. As someone who's lived in Lubbock, Houston, and Queens NY, i get your viewpoints. I've never been to philly, but i know it has similarties to NYC. Id be willing to bet the best parts of Philly are better than the best parts of Austin, and i think this applies to most of the NE metros. That being said, your peace of mind, and financial room for error is probably much better in either of the Texas metros. If Austin or certain parts of Houston could be picked up and transported to the east, near NY, chefs kiss. You mentioned the heat in Austin, hows the weather in Philly? And would you ever go back to a north east city?

Just joined your YT channel and am right about to follow this as well. Currently in that corporate space (FinTech) and it's BRUTAL. I can't see myself doing this for the rest of my life, fulfilling someone else dreams, a corporation that doesn't even care about your health and well being. You are easily replaceable based on shareholder value, profit margins etc.. It took me 3+ years to finally launch my YT channel - lot of time wasted on procrastination. But I am off the ground finally! How are you currently making a living? (outside of YT)
