Oh, man. Didn't know about Spike passing, that's sad. RIP.
I didn't know either :(
Jimmy DiResta; purveyor of the internet's finest shop tips!
That Angle Grinder spanner tip is golden,
Thank you, I never new this trick.
I was mainly watching because of the cats,I won't lie.
When a family of black and white cats came into my life a few years ago, I immediately named one spike.
Table saw tips still my all time favorite video from you.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I really missed this tool tips series, I remember watching every episode. Been watching since I was 14 (in 2014) and am 21 now, thanks for inspiring me through the years to always be more creative and build new things, Thanks Jimmy, God Bless.
Your tips videos are my favorite ones. You are a treasure and of knowledge. Love it when you share it with the community. Thank you Jimmy.
Great to see you Jimmy; enjoyed the tips - Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the cats. They are adorable. My Katie Kat died it Oct. 2020 and getting a bit of cat loving is awesome. Especially when paired with awesome tips and tricks. Thanks.
"If you're not comfortable with this, don't do it," best advice ever.
Ayyye great tips Jimmy. I enjoy removing grinder blades with just the friction. So helpful. I still use your tip of glueing a piece of heavy material to the bottom of a bottle so it stops tipping over. Life saver
I think the best tool tip for an angle grinder is always have more angle grinders. Changing discs is a nightmare on a big job, so it's good to have a grinder for each type of disc, plus a spare just in case.
It's fitting Junior is in the video because Spike was always such a huge help in the old tip videos!
I dont classify my self as a newbie and yet still learned!! Thanks for sharing Jimmy. From one cat person to another, sorry for your loss with Spike. They become part of your family and it does hurt when they pass.
Just like the "older tips video's" Thanks my friend. I really like this style.
jimmy, you are a jewel !! I'm always looking for you on "Making It"... hope you're having a good time filming that show.... keep teaching us
Sorry to hear about Spike.
That was one of the most useful videos I've seen this year. Thank you.
Thanks for the tips.My old tomcat was named "Purrmotor".He laid on my chest in the afternoon and it was like a vibrating chair!
Old tips never die....thanks Jimmy for the tips !
Really fantastic tips, Jimmy! Thanks a lot! 😃
Beautiful cat family!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Always enjoy tips videos. Even when we’ve used tools for years there’s more to be learnt.
Such cute kitties. Such good advice. Having never used this stuff, I might not think about these things when one day I do.
I’ve watch you for ten years.
Delicate craft and trade secrets.
Tacit knowledge.
Inherited, learnt and gratefully passed to me and others like me.
You can afford not to become a salesman.
This is truly great to see..
thank you Jimmy!
He may be able to afford not to be a salesman, but it'd be stupid for him not to. He has to make money like anyone else.
Thank You. I am a sales man. One man ad agency. I’ve always been. Now I just get paid more. 😉
Sorry to hear about Spike, he seemed such a chilled, awesome cat. No doubt he is missed. Much ❤️
"If you're interested in buying any of these cats...", I thought that's what he was about to say! Beautiful cats, useful tips! Glad that he chose DeWalt for the demo.
Thanks Jimmy for not ditching Robertson just because they are canadian! Cheers from Montreal!
The first trim I installed I used a handsaw only to clean up my front door. Since then I have acquired a full set of tools that have paid for themselves and have trimmed several of my friends full houses. You have been a great inspiration!
Two things Jimmy:
1. Sorry to hear about Spike. I didn't know he had moved on to his great cat nip reward. In all seriousness, I kinda felt like I lost a pet when I heard that, however, the new ones are great.
2. You are the reason I stopped using phillips head screws and went to Robertson. Life changing!
Yep. Robertson or Torx for me. We need to do away with Phillips completely in my opinion.
@@moonman9j9 Torx is good too and I can usually find those easier than the Robertsons. I have to order Robertsons online.
RIP Spike , love your kitty cats , love your common sense TOOL TIPS .
Great to see you on-screen, and great tips! My personal fave: shop-made steel drill guide block, to keep your common size drill bits plumb to a flat surface.
in the next video, Jimmy sprays all these DeWALT tools white and stencils his name on them
LOL: How to paint your tools & stencil DIRESTA on them :)
Here I thought Diresta was a online only tool brand for smart pros. :)
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Always love these tips videos, I always walk away learning something new.
Awesome tips Jimmy…. Thank you so much for sharing. And I can never get enough of the cats 🐈 ❤️❤️❤️. P.s. please do more of these tip videos. We are learning from the Master !
Excellent DiResta TOOL TIPS, respect from Venezuela💯💯💯🤘🤘🤘🤜🔥🤛👍🙏🙏💯💯💯
Keep the tips videos coming Jimmy, they are ALWAYS great. So many of them end up being deployed in my shop!!
Like every tip in this video. LOVE every cat in this video. Thanks jimmy.
Sorry to hear about Spike, our little friend left us after 18 years. Happy to see the new cats.
Excellent tips Jimmy! Many I knew but definitely some I did not, so thanks for these!
Thanks Jimmy for the useful tips! I already knew my way around the jigsaw pretty well but everything else was PACKED with new tips for me! Thank you!
Still sober, and I am a carpenter. Learned alot from you.
34 years 🙌🏼✊🏻🙏🏼
I like the video edit where we can see what you're doing and also see you talking, very nice!
I may or may not have a Dewalt tool problem!?! Now it all in a Diresta video! THANK YOU SIR!
Awe another tux! Was so sad when Spike passed away... Glad to know you found a 2.0
Oh man old school Diresta tips video! Love it brother! “ Thank You!”
Almost didn't watch this, thought there wouldn't be anything for me to learn. I was wrong, glad I did. I love learning!
Thank You 🙏🏼
The spanner wrench on the grinder tip... worth the price of admission!
These are some fantastic tips Jimmy, thank you!!
Always love your tip videos!
Great tips, especially the one about scribing the wood to eliminate chipping
FWIW, I've also seen people use blue painters tape to address chipping as well.
Jimmy I love these tips!!!!! So awesome buddy!!! Totally needed another tips video!!! Hope you had a great 4th🇺🇸!! Brian
LOVE your tips videos... I always learn new and cool things!! Thanks for taking me to school once again!!
Top de mais, essas ferramentas e nas mãos de vcs da DIRESTA NEM PRECISA COMENTAR ... PARABÉNS PRA TDS VCS .....👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for all of the learned information you share...
Thank you Jimmy. I learned at least 1 tip on each tool today. Very helpful and or informative.
Very cool tips for beginners! Wonderful!
I learned a ton from this video!! Thank you!
Great tips, keep them coming. The tips on the jig saw will come in handy for one of my upcoming projects.
Random tip from a carpenter from Australia, hold your rafter square against the material as a makeshift fence to physically guide your circular saw for a square cut instead of marking the line and free-handing it.
Triumphant return of the tips videos. I really wish David waelder could’ve been trolling you throughout this one! Hope you’re doing well brother
"UNSUBSCRIBE!"
Thank you Jimmy and Acme Tools.... More tips videos please, they are incredibly useful and we have missed them.
Thanks for sharing Jimmy! Great video!
This kind of videos is golden ! Thanx from France Jimmy !
You Rule Jimmy! Great video.
Jimmy, thank you for the great tips Brother!!!
If you aren't thinking "this thing will kill me." Then you aren't using the chainsaw or chop saw right.
Great tips Mr JD. Thankyou.
I've used that tip of pushing against the blade of a miter saw for thin cuts a lot since your first tip video on chop / miter saws and it's been invaluable on many occasions 👍
Agreed. Minor quibble, it's safer if you do it with the saw off, raise the blade, and then engage the saw. Jimmy is demoing a much quicker technique, but a little more dangerous.
@@jandrewmore yes that's how I do it, push against the blade, raise the blade then engage the blade :)
I have been using vegetable oil so that we can use the chips and dust in the gardens. I am with you Jimmy...any oil is better than no oil.
Awesome stuff Jimmy, thanks for the tips! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Junior reminds me of my old cat Dudes.. Thanks for the tips they are great,
Love the tips videos 🙏🛠️🙌
Great tips. Learned a lot
loved this and learned a few new things!
All good tips. Thank you.
Great video and great tips! Thanks 👍
Thanks bro for all tips ! big up Diresta !
As always a pleasure to watch. Thanks
I like the tip videos... table saw and band saw tips would be great!
Your tips are always appreciated!
Spike was a legend your tips vid you did with him is what made me like you! Take care bro
Love the tips videos Jimmy! Always learn something
Great tips for Independence Day. Thanks Jimmy. 👍👍😎👍👍
Useful tips, thank you! Already using some of them!
Fantastic Video. Loved it.
Some I knew and some new to me. Thanks. My dad taught me when tightening a drill chuck with a key to hit at least 2 of the 3 holes to make sure it is good and tight. I still do that today and when I don't the drill usually slips. Thanks for the video.
Am old timer told me the same. I still do it and remember the lesson every time
My Dad too, taught me to use all three holes. Took me too many years to learn it saves a lot of time if I do it properly the 1st time. The other thing I do is use the long lever part of the chuck key to push with my thumb for more leverage (and have the shorter grippy thumb piece between fingers and palm. Cheers, David
Don’t consider myself a noob but I’ll admit I learned a lot here. Thank you jimi!
Awesome tips. Love the spanner wrench one. Can’t ever find mine. Keep the tips and tricks coming!!!
thanks jimmy learn something new every time! :)
YESSSS Robertson head screws are the best! Glad to finally hear someone from the states say that. (also, the new torx head screws don't stay on the bit either.) More Tips videos please!
Very educational. Thank you brother
Thanks for the tips. I learned some stuff I didn't know.
Always good info from you.
I wouldn’t consider myself a newbie but I certainly learned a lot. Thanks Jimmy!
Hello! From Chile 🌶 🇨🇱
Thank you! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Excellent tips! Am with you on the oil for chain saw. As a teen working with an older guy taught me the same. If all you got is 30 weight, it's better than burning the chain or bar. If you do that, you're not making any money cutting firewood. Once again, excellent video and reminders for tips I picked up a while back. Happy 4th! 👍
One more tip for the screw driver:
If you need to screw the fabrics to wood, or to something else - start screwing it to opposite direction to make a hole into fabric, then turn right direction and screw it down without any problems.
So true. It works.
Thanks Jimmy, Happy 4th buddy! Great tips for us noobs.
been doing the angle grinder spanner trick myself for a while now. excellent tip to know early on.
great video. thanks for sharing these tips. keep on keeping on.
Best tool is your cat👍👍👍👍. From Russia with love.
