Thank you Lowe's and dewalt for sponsoring Jimmy he is a great representative for hard working good people.
Spike is lookin' good.
Sorry been around cats for years Spike is getting on in years but he has a few good one left
I'm addicted to your videos, Jimmy. And something about the Spike footage makes me a happier person. You've tapped into two internet trends. Watching people make stuff and cats. Thank you for contributing to the movement! Makers like you have inspired me to create more.
I want you to know my 3 year old granddaughter loved this video she made me play it over and over again. She laughed so hard about the cat paws. She was so excited it really was fun to watch with her. Great video.
That spring cut tip for shaving a sliver off a piece of wood is priceless. Haven't seen that one before. Thanks Jimmy.
Spike did an awesome job of supervising the whole video. It's about time he was rewarded with a raised, covered, ottoman, fully upholstered with thick foam and covered in a deep pile fur. A stairway up to the resting place so he doesn't have to make those old bones creek and a plug in heat pad would make it the cats whiskers. I am sure Spike would approve - he liked the Greek column cat house you made for him but in old age, cats need things off the floor to stop the cold getting to them.
I like it when AvE briefly lowers the volume when operating loud, screechy machinery. Not a complaint, just a statement. Ok, maybe a little complaint.
Yes, please normalize the audio!
AvE has a different term for the amount removed using a spring cut. 😆
I had to ride the volume because I was at work
At the end of the video it was nowhere near as bad, those first few cuts were brutal on the ear drums though.
Its fucked up I'll give you that
OK I’m back. Loved it brother. Definitely nostalgic of all the old tips videos in the basement. Also that 2x2 black frame reminded me of the burnt ones you made for those vintage pics of you, Dave and Taylor! Thanks for the knowledge dude!!
I always refer back to your tips videos for a refresher! cheers Jimmy and Spike!!! 🐱
Any video with Spike is a good video!
When I'm working on projects at my 100 yr/old house my 3 cats are always watching me and walking thru the area. Next to my cats I like a radio best as a work mate! Thanks Jimmy for all the wonderful videos especially with your cat, your the best my man!
I love spike, hes the best cat on youtube, always a treat to see him in videos
The spring cut is perhaps the simplest thing I have ever seen and don't know why I haven't used it before. Thank you for the tip!
Thanks for bringing back the Tips videos, Jimmy! Always helpful. Hope they'll continue!!
Great tips! Something so simple as that "hold down" scrap of wood will save fingers! Who knew you could use tape for zero clearance?!?! Thanks, Jimmy!
Love the tips videos. Happy to see Spike is doing well. Thank you for sharing as always. Always learning something new.
Your Tips Videos are so valuable! So, so valuable. Thank you, Jimmy, for sharing!
Spike is such an awesome helper, I love watching him help you Jimmy.
Pushing the blade and letting it spring back to get a small cut is a GREAT tip. Cant believe i didn't think of this before, will definitely come in handy in future.
Thanks Jimmy!
Awesome advice on the spring cut! Thank you, sir!
Thanks for the tips Jimmy! 👍🏻👊🏻 .... Spike did a great job assisting too!
Right! I wish my cat would clean up around the shop. My cat looks up to Spike the same way I look up to Jimmy.
A new tips video means I'm rewatching the whole series. Pumped!
Love the “tips” videos. I go back and watch the older ones occasionally and always seem to catch something that I missed. Very informative.....

I wish I would have seen the one about small cuts last year. I cut my part of my thumb off. I have been able to pick up on a lot of yuor tips in just your build videos, but having them in one condensed video. I love ya brother, and respect you. thanks for helping me get better. tell spike I love him!
Spike! 😁 Some great tips there Jimmy. Something new for even the seasoned user. Thanks for sharing! 👍
Gosh I love learning stuff on this channel and I've been around these tools for about 50 years. And it's not like when you ask somebody the time and they tell you how to build a watch. I don't waste any time learning this stuff. Sending thankful love.

I didn’t think I had anything to learn about the miter saw and you proved me wrong. Great tips!!!
Great advice, great cat!
Thank you for those tips. I bought a New 12 inch sliding miter saw and used it for the first time yesterday. I had the blade bind up twice and honestly I was lucky not to get hurt. Your video showed me the reason why it happened and ways to avoid it in the future. Thank you so much for the info!
You don't disappoint. There is some good info here. The sharpy line is brilliant!

RIP headphone users. Lol I’ll take the hearing damage any day for your tips Jimmy! Love the new video!
I'M WEARING HEADPHONES AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU MEAN!
RFC3514 lol
Amazingly they made this thing called volume control. You Tube has it. The operating system has it and some headphones and external speakers have it. Some people even use one or a combination them.
Sky Warp I didn’t know there was a technology that detects the exact second a videos audio will spike ten fold and auto adjusts. Maybe I’m just behind the times. Shame on me.
There _is_ technology to do that (it's pretty trivial to code, especially on video players - as opposed to real-time audio monitoring), but CZcams doesn't have it, nor is it something you'd want enabled by default (after all, maybe audio is _supposed_ to spike tenfold - ex., an explosion or a door knock after a silent bit).
Anyway, you won't take any hearing damage unless your headphones are too loud to begin with (just like you won't take any eye damage when looking at a photo of the sun on your monitor), because the actual level is limited by the output system. It just feels (potentially) unpleasant because it's a big jump, but it's a jump from (say) 10 to 70 dB, not from 70 to 130.
Nice to see Spike back in the shop. good tips Jimmy. As always.
Great to see the return of the tips! These videos with spike are my daughter's favorite!

JD, Teddy is sitting on my lap purring to Spike. His cousin Porter is walking across the keyboard to replay certain sections. This is the team that always brought me back. Spike and his buddy Jimmy DirRsta. I learned something here on efficiency and sftey and I've been using these saws for a number of years. Thanks.
I will be sad the day spike leaves us. He's getting on in the years. I've been watching your vids from the start mainly for the cat content
