    Are you suggesting the need to buy the slide and striker block together? And 10:36 Where can you get the replacement striker
    block and slide?

    Add one to your sample size. Brought my CZ to the range today. Was doing some rapid firing and the Left side of the gun blew. Cracks on upper and lower half the casing was in battery and the back half exploded where it could, so it shredded on the outside face of the chamber. I'm gonna call cz tomorrow.

      Hey, What was the follow up with CZ if you don't mind me asking? Did they replace it for you?

    • @geraldmaloney9230
      @geraldmaloney9230 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @ryanm5510 Yes they did! It was under their 5 year warranty. They replaced everything at no cost. Haven't taken it out since I got it back. The lower seems to fit a lot tighter.

      @geraldmaloney9230 did they have you send in your firearm and just replace bad parts or did they send you a brand new one? I'm glad to hear they did that for you though

    • @geraldmaloney9230
      @geraldmaloney9230 Před 5 měsíci

      @ryanm5510 Bad parts replacement. The serialized parts are movable into new parts at factory. So on paper it is a repair, but in parts it is essentially a replacement with a serial plate swap.

    I had a double feed issue, after clearing it and attempting to fire again, it would not fire and the charging handle is jammed and the round now is stuck in the chamber and trigger does not move, any thoughts anyone as to how to resolve this issue?

  • @xjugganotx738

    Just curious, if you do not have any peening yet on the bolt, will the Nexus striker block have any real effect of stopping the peening from occurring if installed as a prerequisite?

    • @theuncouthtruth9551
      @theuncouthtruth9551  Před rokem +1

      No. It won’t. The problem I discussed in the first video is the issue of the striker block being out of spec and the tolerances allowing the firing pin to move forward irrespective of its position. It does nothing to prevent peening of the bolt.
      The peening of the bolt is because the 4140 steel used is too soft to stand up to hammer reset. Where these two issues overlap is when the peening on the bolt on the rim of the hole that the striker block sits in begins to prohibit the striker block from moving up and down like it’s supposed to. The striker block fixes the issue of being out of spec but is not a fix for bolt peen.

      This is a link that from an OOBD and shows the peen. And how it can prohibit the striker block from working properly www.reddit.com/r/czscorpion/comments/yauntx/postreceiver_explosion_photos/?

      @@theuncouthtruth9551 Got it. I was presuming this, but reassuring to hear it from you as well. I appreciate the detailed response. Thank you! Since I am married to my Scorpion (SBR) I will likely pre-order the Nexus enhanced bolt and hope for the best.

    • @davidunikaev8335
      @davidunikaev8335 Před rokem +1

      In that thread they discuss pre-emptively chamfering the lip of the hole that the firing pin block rides in so that peening of the metal won't cause the block to become stuck, seems like a good preventative option because I do not want to pay $300+ for a harder aftermarket bolt that may cause different issues. If you chamfer the hole and check to make sure your FPB is in-spec and functional, I believe that's as safe as you can get with the OEM parts
