Never shot a scorpion, but I love my stribog Sp9a1 gen2. I have the curved mags so there's no jamming or feeding issue. I literally run the cheapest reloaded ammo I can find, and it runs it like an absolute champ. I just make sure to clean the gun after every use. I put a holosun HS403B cowitness reflex sight, POF USA Phoenix muzzle brake, and a A3 Tactical slimline angled foregrip on mine.
I have both firearms as well. I put the A3 TACTICAL lower on my Stribog Sp9a1 so it takes scorpion mags. With that being said I have used 30 round factory CZ mags, Magpul 35 rounders, and the Manticore Arms 32 round mags with the steel feed lips. It seemed to work well with the factory mags but when I used the Magpuls it had issues feeding and the Manticore mags I think I had one feed issue. The A3 TACTICAL lower came with a chart that had which mags work with it and the Magpuls can work but you have to some augmentation to make it work the chart shows that too. I seen videos on the Lingle lower and it really sucked compared to the A3 lower. I say all this to say if you're looking to get a new lower for the Stribog be mindful on which one to get.
Shooting both the Scorpion and the Stribog A3 side by side, the Stribog shoots softer especially with 124 and 147gn ammo. Also bone stock with factory sights the Stribog is lighter then the Scorpion.

If you are "former" military, I get the profanity (which did seem to calm down affter a bit) but one man's opinion....my preferences and what I'm looking for as to channels I frequent and subscribe to.... doesn't have that stuff. My first PCC is the Scorpion carbine with the faux suppressor. It looks like it was the better decision because it left open the possibility of getting a short barrel of whatever tickles my fancy. Fast forward to today and I’ve also got the A3! Love both of them. They’re different but both great at what they do. Planning on mounting a suppressor on the Bog after break in. Can’t wait!
At the end of the video, the gunfire was messing with the sound so you can barely hear my times but on the 3:3 2 target bill drill, the times for the scorpion averaged around 2.10 seconds and the Stribog averaged around 1.7 seconds
I have one of the earlier A3's too and had same issues with the bolt locking up. Took GO 3 tries to get my A3 right. Just got it back today and took it to the range and put 250 rds through it with no issues. Finally!!!
@@RayVenger the free floating pin was rubbing against the landings where the bolt slides and would cause little burrs on both sides and would eventually get in the way of the bolt sliding back and forth and would lock it up. This time the free floating pin looks a little smaller in diameter and length. Hope that helps.
Nice video although I own a CZ scorpion and I've never shot the Stribog and never bothered to buy one because of all the early issues Evo gets big creds on that alone
100%. Scorpion is a solid platform. And it’s an excellent gun that I highly recommend. I definitely didn’t want that fact to be lost in the video. I just felt follow up shots and speed was something that the stribog had an edge on. For me, that’s probably the most desirable trait in a PCC. Scorpion definitely has a better track record for reliability. I’m looking forward to see where these platforms evolve to in a few more years

Also I’m sure your aware but training from the inside of a car is definitely smart but shooting thru the windshield might not be. When you shoot thru them microscopic glass particles go absolutely everywhere and it’s super unsafe to breath. I myself train in the car as well and i think everyone should but i wear a n95 if I’m going to be in the car when I’m shooting thru glass.

A little advice, if you're going to be firing inside a vehicle through the windshield, you should wear enclosed eye protection and a mask to protect your lungs, the inside of the vehicle is fillung up with glass dust which isn't good for your eyes or your lungs.
I have a scorpion and a Banshee, love both but scorpion is like a Jeep that you can take rock crawling and muddying and Banshee is like a BMW M3 racing through the Autobahn but I love to beat the 💩 out of that jeep.
The MP5 is not roller locked it is also roller delayed. They are two different systems between the Stribog and the MP5 but they both operate on roller delayed actions.

No thanks. The stribog is far superior with the delayed roller action. Throw a scorpion lower on it and it runs just as reliable as any scorpion and shoots much softer... And it's not made of a ton of plastic like the scorpion.
The stribog has an EoTech XPS2 and the scorpion has a Holosun 507c. A fantastic optics and only second to the 509t in my opinion. The Holosun previously had a scalarworks fast mount which is impressive but pricey so I figured I would try the cheap Amazon AED riser and see what it’s made of as I’m fairly hard on my guns. It’s held up surprisingly well. Holds zero well. Even after being dropped and objectively has good construction. Still using it but I swap optics like underwear and at the moment it performs well and still gives me the use of factory low profile scorpion iron sights. Not as generous a mount as scalarworks but useable if the optic gets crushed.
Late comment... The SB Tactical brace does not interfere with ejected shells when folded. Please don't misinform viewers. Then again, maybe you aren't using the SB brace.

No. They’re not. The scorpion mags require a lower from Lingle Industries. And the Glock mags are the new iteration that stribog just released with a mag well compatible with Glock mags
A Haley strategic thorn tail QD on one. And a UTG side mount QD on the other. Damn close to being identical but the Haley has two crossbars and the UTG has one. Both have held up very well. Particularly in full sprint with the gun bouncing around on my back. The Haley was 30 doll hairs and the utg was 10. Unless it’s a particularly heavy gun in need of two cross bars instead of one, I have a hard time justifying the thorn tail over the utg for the purpose of rear sling mount on a PCC. The front is an MLOK QD socket on both. Can’t remember the brand.
Okay sweet at first it looked like you were running one on the angled slot on the stribog which is why I was really confused haha. I have heard that keymod qd attachment points work in that slot. I will be getting one off of Amazon to tryout!
There's the lingle lower reciever but also one by a company named a3. Don't want to spend another couple hundred bucks and have an extra oem reiever...hmmm
It auto populates the country when you put in the manufacturer as “grand power” outside of that, put in only “stribog sp9a1” or “stribog Sp9a3”. There are other selections but only choose one of those two depending on the model. I believe there is a “stribog” option but it will get rejected if you choose it. For some reason ATF keeps incorrect options on the drop tab and won’t remove it. Outside that you should be good to go. Just make sure to triple check to work and watch a CZcams video closely on form 1s
I love my Scorpions, but If I had to choose one I'd pick the Sp9a1. Recoil is relatively the same but the Stribog was Engineered with higher quality parts. (Upper reciever)
The original stribog mags were absolutely trash. Had one break just chilling loaded. But the curved ones, and even the newer straight ones aren't thank God.
I don't have any direct experience with it, but I've seen the argument that polymer feed lips on rifle caliber AR mags are beneficial because they're more likely to break rather than bend. Having a clearly broken feed lip allows you to know when to throw it out. So the argument goes, if you have metal feed lips, they might deform and you may unknowingly attempt to load your gun with an unusable magazine. I honestly have no idea if that's good reasoning or not. I've never broken or damaged a mag that way
I’m not sure if it’s the taper difference between 9 and 5.56 or stronger spring tension but 9mm mag do better with reinforcement of the feed lips. Magpul appears to have the strongest polymer mix. If the new bog curved mags are certainly stronger than their predecessor. I haven’t seen many with broken feed lips. Certainly nothing like the first generation but to be honest, it would make sense to do it and eliminate that possibility all together. I have beat the hell out of the new curve mags and have drop them all loaded directly on the lips without breaking. But I have seen a few cases that have trickled into my feed of this happening. TBH I would gladly pay $10 more for that to be a non issue or concern

The scorpion also needs an ambi safety delete due to interfering with right hand, and it’s super stiff from the factory. The bog needs nothing to be decent. These upgrades make the cz closer to Ap5 price and not worth it. Guns are always better when they do not NEED upgrades I had both and now only have the bog it’s better simple

Just bought the CZ Scorpion 3+. Super excited for it but definitely thought about the stribog. Ultimately went with CZ.

Stribog stripped, weighs less than the Scorp. It's right at the 5 lb weight with the Scorp about 10-13 oz heavier

Mine fired out of battery and blew the entire right side off and cracked the frame/receiver in multiple places. CZ replaced the pistol under warranty

Doesn’t need aftermarket upgrades to be a decent firearms the cz damn near needs a grip replacement due to steep angle, trigger because it’s heavy as heck, and extended charging handle since it’s tiny. The scorpion also needs an ambi safety delete due to interfering with right hand, and it’s super stiff from the factory. The bog needs nothing to be decent. These upgrades make the cz closer to Ap5 price and not worth it. Guns are always better when they do not NEED upgrades
I had both and now only have the bog it’s better simple
