How many searched Hannah on CZcams after hearing Dave Chappelle mention her?
Yes, and I’m gonna complain cos she takes the piss out of men😢
Wish I didn't sit through all of this...
Ye
I searched her after Dave and he is right. She is not funny!!!
I did; I find her funny, but not at Chapelle's level. BUT she is still funnier than like 90% of comedians out there.
Dave even mentioning her has made her more famous than her standup routine.

This is why I'm here. Lol
She's had a successful Netflix special before in 2018.
Weird how all the negative comments are from men. Almost like you're reinforcing her overarching point of men being astronomically emotionally fragile.

Kinda nailed with the Ted Talk

But she’s not funny and she ruined comedy for us Aussies, she put herself out there and then cried about it...Very UnAustralian 🙄

Crowd full of self righteous virtue signalers cheering the "stunning" and "brave" instead of her actual "comedy" which is non existent.
Pretty sure its a laugh track. Even Scooby-Doo had a more convincing one
About 30 years ago, I attended a live taping of a comedy show in San Francisco. All the comics slayed - oceans of laughter - except for one woman who told jokes like the ones in this vid. I remember she told jokes about menstruation for example. It was astonishing. Within seconds, the crowd was dead silent, and stayed that way to the end of her set. The next comic killed, as did the rest. When I watched the show on PBS, to my dismay she had not been cut. The laugh track thought she was hilarious.
Must be a laugh track. Must be..

I can't tell you how many times women have transferred from clinics from experiencing that kind of nightmare at another doctor's office.. AND there are female doctors who behave that way, too. Part of taking care of a patient is LISTENING to the patient. Pisses me off... coming in as a new patient, ALREADY PREPARED to be treated like they're CRAZY when they're NOT. Friggin sad.
@@thorium3737 yes darling, you seem to be missing a brain and or the capacity to comprehend anything more complex than "hungry food"
It is ridiculous how much you need to fight just to get the care you need. When I go to the doctors, I bring what I like to call ammunition. In other words, I have researched my issues beforehand, I have potential diagnoses and I know which tools are necessary to proof or rule out said diagnoses. I prepare my case, I start of with what I've noticed, this is based on collected data that has been noted down whenever the problem presented itself. Then I pull out the research I have done, which is made up out of primarily scientific papers and then hospital info and potentially information from experts about the specific thing I'm struggling with. Here forth come the potential diagnoses. If they agree with me I listen to what kind of tests they propose and what kind of other diagnoses they have in mind, and sometimes they explain to me why something isn't needed. Thankfully I have a good relationship with my primary care physician, so I need to be a little less uptight about it. Though I still like foing research as it means the appointment is short and efficient. Though I have been making a lot of hospital visits lately and some of the specialist where more difficult, I've recently put my foot down to get a specific medication and things are already improving after 5 days or so. What I sometimes find most bothersome is eventhough the professionals have failed you, you stil have to remain nice, pleasant and collected. Even if the problem seriously causes harm to you, if you show to much emotion they presume you to be hormonal ( in my case two doctors let me suffer without a diagnosis for years on end, then the third did actually send me to a specialist who then misdiagnosed me or atleast failed to get the full diagnosis, the stress of which drastically worsened the problem, then I was send to another specialist within the same hospital who sort of stuck with the other but did do further testing and it was ultimately me who decided I wanted treatment for something I'd been telling them all this time I'd had and that the medication helped as I'd had that earlier for a different problem )
Sorry for the rant I just had to get it of my chest 😅
I am a man and have had all the same issues, most doctors I've dealt with didn't seem to give a *censored* either. I've had them put a finger in my *censored* to check my prostate multiple times and had my testicles checked (by both male and female doctors). Have you ever done that? Don't play the gender/sex card, we all have uncomfortable things we have to do for health care. Grow up and find a better Doctor if that's how they're treating you and make a formal complaint if they're that bad. Complaining on CZcams isn't gonna help...
Agreed.

"How would you like it if we had given you Karen's Handful?"
Honestly, we would encourage Karen to claim her prize.🤷

I'll be honest, it did nothing for me but inform me of the actual reason they are named balls (because we play with them alot).
This bit was somewhat informative but it just wasn't funny at all to me. I don't think that this is right the profession for her. Perhaps she should give seminars on sex ed for women, she seems knowledgeable on the subject and she also seems passionate about that.

@@user-so1yi2tm2r Well that isnt the ACTUAL reason we call them balls. That was just her joke. Nobody calls their balls balls because they "play" with them. People hear someone with a spotlight say something and assume its truth, jesus christ.
Men named everything because they did everything.
OMG YES!!! So irritating to have docs go straight to the hormonal diagnosis for everything.
Even in issues of the OB/GYN arena I’ve had docs-including female docs-tell me it was hormonal problems or that I was just emotional or anxious… after 12 years and multiple docs I finally changed hospitals, where I was told-after one simple test-I wasn’t crazy; once they did a complete hysterectomy and removed scar tissue that had adhered my ovaries to my abdominal wall, surprise surprise, I had no further pain and no further bleeding.
One has to wonder what they teach docs in med school.
They teach that "Women are, essentially, men with 'pesky hormones'."
They would do better to teach doctors how to use google.
Literally everything IS hormonal, that's the frustrating part. When doctors say "it's hormonal" the only appropriate response is, "No shit, Sherlock".
@@elenachristian9860 And I read that in Hannah's voice, too.
What they teach is: "black people don't feel pain, women are weak hormonal and moody, and just put her on the pill" with maybe a bit of debate about "what is more painful getting kicked in the nutts or giving birth" and "we will only do research on issues that affect men and will only use the symptoms and experiences of white men in the research".
I've been having a low fever for 4 months now. First they told me "that is not an illness" then sent me to so many gynos, endocrinologists, all in all just "female problem-doctors" because they all assumed it can't be anything other than my PCOS....turns out it's probably my wisdom teeth🙄
I also most likelz have ADHD which has not been diagnosed because it is usuall, less visible/disturbing to others in women and little girls so we rarely get diagnosed and just fucking suffer in scilence.

My best friend literally did that when she had an argument with her husband. As mentally and emotionally exhausting it is for them to argue with each other, physically hurting each other is where they draw the line at. Thankfully
We sometimes like to throw things, though...
I used to smack objects sometimes when I was mad, but I kept accidentally breaking stuff. I still smack walls or doors if I reach my absolute limit. I use the heel of my palm though, since it's less likely to bruise from hitting something hard than knuckles. No since in injuring yourself after all!

Never heard such a rambling story that was told sober before.
I would just like to say there is 1 man in my life(my dad) that has never called me hormonal or ever been rude or offensive to me at all and even when he and I argue he's never like "Well you must be on your period because you are out of control" and I mean I have endometriosis a severe case of it along with PCOS and I have a blood disease as well so when I do start I can bleed for 6 months at a time and because I have such severe cramps I can become a female dog without realizing it and he even taught my brother who is a few months younger than me how to talk to me if I'm in severe pain from the cramps and I mean my dad is always asking me if I'm okay I can cry in front of him and I was able to come out to him first he even held my hand and helped me come out to my mom and the rest of my family and if it wasn't for my dad being such an amazing dad and being here for me I wouldn't have even been able to get diagnosed with endometriosis and PCOS because my first ob who was a guy told me I was too young to have it and my dad had finally had enough of my first ob my dad actually found an amazing ob who is also a dude that I'm comfortable with and now I've been seeing my new ob since I was 18 and I'm 22 now so I have to give my dad the credit for that he and my mom if it wasn't for my mom also having these problems when she was growing up that's partly how my dad knew I wasn't lying and I've been able to have 2 surgeries to help and my ob has always been such a good guy(the one I'm seeing now) and apparently his wife and 3 daughters also have the same thing and that's what got him into becoming an ob in the first place because his daughters had the same problem they weren't being believed because they were 13 or 14 when they started having such severe pain happening and actually my ob mentioned he had gotten a lot of old patients that had been seeing my first ob and they had the exact same problems with him. Anyways I know no one asked but I just wanted to share because I'm also trying to help people become aware that no matter how young or old your daughter or niece or whatever is going through so much pain and agony it's usually best to try and get them some help if you can because trust me I ended up developing twitching and seizures activity because it had taken so long to get diagnosed and get the pain under control it developed into seizure activity because the pain was so bad it stressed my body out to the point where my body was attacking itself

@johnnytheprick .. The funny kind ... If you find it "brutal" perhaps you should examine your cognitive dissonance for exactly why you are feeling attacked. .. (your choice of CZcams channel name may be a good place to start the self-examination thing.... )
@johnnytheprick cognitive dissonance is a wonderful human trait that allows us to both love animals and eat meat for example. It's also the reason we frequently respond negatively to truths when they are presented to us and we feel attacked. (Like some meat eaters getting angry when vegans point out the cruelty of our meat filled diets, others recognize the dichotomy and try to eat a little less meat, or meat from better sources, or even stop eating meat. ). There are two very distinct types of men on this thread. Those who respond with laughter and those who don't... If you don't find it funny, it's because you are feeling attacked by a few home truths.

@robertsloan- But there's IS such a thing as awful jokes. And she a got a ton of them,Brother!
Kill Me!!!!! Killlllll Meeeee!!
I really tried
Not one honest giggle
I was nodding violently every second to this clip as it resonated with all my miserable experiences with doctors over my pouch of Douglas issues. Years of pain and condescending attitudes combined with incompetent surgery left me in more agonising pain, the failure of all my long term relationships because of my now stage 4 endometriosis.
Im so grateful for any method of increasing awareness.
😳 wow. I am so sorry. That really sounds like it stinks. I am so sorry you have suffered from this.
I feel for you. It affects every aspect of your life.
It is like trying to control a plane crash. I had a friend who has this.
She is such a strong person.
See this is the problem. with this Person's comedy.. You just gave a horrifying anecdote about a situation GADSBY was suppose to present as FUNNY. Normally, comedians tell of a shocking experience but disguise it with humour to soften how traumatic the moment was, hence thereafter, the listener can come out with a similar situation and also dress it up with humour. When Hannah's comedy triggers this type of response from you, she has failed as a COMEDIAN. I want folks to compare Hannah's experience with Doctor visits.. with Tom Segura's Doctor Visit.
But it's not funny
@@josehuerta3964 honestly I did laugh at the way Hannah told it, it's definitely funnier for women cause we see ourselves in those same situations. I don't think the only acceptable response to comedy is sharing your own issues disguised as comedy. We listen to the comedians, that doesn't make us comedians ourselves.
Yeah... But where's the comedy? 😂
The emotional sex we are called, because we cry a bit more. Have you seen men react to being said no by a woman? Or football fans after their team lost or even won?
Also I learned that when menstruating woman are in a hormonal state closest to the male spectrum.
I hate it when I cry when I'm angry. Men think I'm 'being hormonal' and 'it's that time of the month'. No, assholes, I'm so mad I can't contain it!
You are actually right! Periods are painful because during it estrogen levels are down. It is a hormonal state closest to the male spectrum, if only they'd know that.
[this is also why "the pill" makes periods less painful for some women, as those bring the estrogen levels back up. They aren't good for everybody, but it does help certain women. There's also non-hormonal birth control options for anyone interested in those options.]
It's true! Men always roll their eyes at us when we get upset and ask "Is it that time of the month?"
Yes Chad, it IS that time of the month. And do you know hormone rises significantly and causes the behavior that you hate during that time of the month?
*TESTOSTERONE.* Turns out that the "masculine" hormone leads to heightened aggression and emotional outbursts, so basically... We're being equally as obnoxious as the average man for a just a week, and no man can STAND us for even that short a time. Just another one for the Hate All Men counter 🤷🏽♀️
Whaaaat, where can I read about menstruating women and hormonal state? Sounds really interesting!
I think we guys explode like that because the constant feelings of like anger and stuff are bottled up and then the bottle smashes when things stop running smoothly.
And by smoothly I mean how that particular person expects.
Somebody expects that their car will work and it doesnt, that sone stranger will be up for sex when they won't? Boom, explosion.
The healthy path is of course to cultivate realistic expectations.
Perfect example of lying on the resume to get the job.
“You must admit Hannah Gadsby is not funny.” Dave you were right.
I came here for Dave, and left worried.
Is this woke comedy?
She implied a male gynecologist is bad, just for being male? What is this laugh tracks for fighting patriarchy? Would have made that same “jokes” had the gynecologist being female?
In my personal experience male gynecologist are the kindest, sweetest and softest doctors (beside pediatricians) i have ever met, and it was a female gynecologist the ones who had been extremely rude and mean to me.
Let me try the same she did with my own life experience:
I had to do a breast exam and sonogram with a female doctor once, (woooohooo woke cheering go women!) the day of the appointment I arrived early and waited for my exam looking at old magazines from the 90s… the 90s how old! (Laugh tracks) I finally enter the SECOND waiting room which is pink because… females, breasts, I roll my eyes at the stereotype! But then proceed to take every selfie I can in the pink leather couch! (Laugh tracks) when I finally am with the doctor she proceeds to exam me, but in a really rought matter, is she mad? I thought (laugh tracks) I told her it hurt me, and she ignored me first, classical passive agressive female behavior (laugh tracks) and then when I insisted she said that I was a cry-baby and continued to hurt me more, i left that room crying. (Laugh tracks?)
I have done that same exam with males and it never hurts.
I honestly have no idea how anyone could find any of this even remotely funny. Probably because I’m too busy playing with my sack apparently
Feminazis love misandrist comedy hacks. If it degrades men and paints women and lgbtq as fragile victims they cream in their pants.
There are A LOT of male hostages in this audience.
They definitely got the "you're going or no sex" treatment. Bc this is not even close to funny.
The hormonal commentary gives me life
She had better be paying Chappelle royalties. She'd have no career without him.
That was pretty funny
,he said sarcastically.
I prefer the term "lady garden", thank you.
I thought exactly the same thing when I learned about this in anatomy!
That can't be real laughs I'm hearing in the background
Can’t finish this. Fell asleep halfway.
I agree with the comments. I came here from Chappelle and vowed to have an unbiased opinion and let myself laugh freely if I could. This wasn’t humor to me, no offense.
With that said, I find her to have a great personality and have many gifts, but honestly comedy isn't one of them, I didn’t find her laugh out loud funny.
Yeah she’s an interesting TED talk, like I could listen to her lecture, but not where I would go for comedy.
Same here. Totally agree.
Just not funny.
@Trey S what humour?
i tried
What " gifts " does she have ?
How do kill a pirate? With arrrrrrsssaaaanic?🤣
Material not even Carlos Mencia would steal.
Things are named after people ,not by them ? "Curium"
I never knew her before today, but I fully agree with Dave
Same
Same
Yep
This is part of a whole show called Douglas. You need to know her background and reason for writing the previous show Nannette to appreciate who she is.
She was giving up comedy but Nannette made her more popular overseas.
Only checked This out because of the Dave Chappelle situation. This is really poor, no wonder they added a laugh track
Love Hannah!!
the karen's handful was kinda funny. she can be funny!
This has to be a laugh track
It has that hollow sound to it
Virtue signalers gonna signal.
It actually is
The Karen’s Handful on this comment…
And you three believe that crap?
It’s real, and it sounds hollow cause it’s a fucking theater! That’s how they’re built!
