- Japan is COMPLETELY different in vibe from anything we've played before. We are isolationists (at least to start!) and must build a complete industry chain from scratch. Do we open our borders? Do we open other people's borders... by force? Let's find out!

New to the channel? I do Let's Play videos -- these are like walkthrough guides of gameplay with continuous English commentary trying to explain my decisions and what strategy I use. If you're looking for hacks or cheats, you're in the wrong place! - Hry
A westernized Japan is now eyeing all of its Asian neighbors like a hungry kid in a candy store. I feel like I've seen this before.
Stationing a unit in a HQ does not change their home base and they will go home at end of war. On the Army screen there is a very small button (top left) where you can change an army's home HQ (works for fleets as well)
Goated comment I've had the same issue as quill and never knew this thank you!
The island of Borneo is usually one of the first place I conquer at the start of a game because at the very start no big powers will get upset and it has both gold and rubber that are very useful
Long Ago, the many nations of Asia lived in Harmony... and then Japan attacked.
Victoria really does seem to be the most "Speed 5" game right? 10 twenty miunte episodes and we're already nearly thorough most of the campaign.
5:18 The Empire of Japan's flag makes the land of Brunei look like it's it's diseased after invasion lol.
16:59 Okay, so if you're upping to 60 artillery... that's 375 ammo you need with extra supplies for the inf + art. I'm not sure that extra-extra supplies buff does to the increase, so maybe just round to 400 ammo lol. This doesn't factor in the second army you have either as far as artillery.
Lol "Let's start making a lot of manga here." I love how true that is. Japan has such incredible soft power due to their entertainment industry. When the Dragon Ball author died this year, gang wars in central America called a temporary truce over it to mourn.
arethe phillines s free yet are you going to take them if they are;
This game looks like my worst nightmare.
ust for logic reasos i do not think the game think the complexly you should not have to equal generals in the same army t the army need to clearly know who is in comand so you do not get acharge of the light brigade like siuatation.
Japan building army and navy, conquering Pacific islands and getting into conflict with USA... what weird alt-history is this... 🤔😅
Just remember don't touch America's boats
You've been ignoring nearly all government pop-ups and legitimacy this entire series that radicals have grown to that rediculous level, throw in those for just now starting to industrialize a few decades late that those radicals are going to take a long time to start to burn off.
If you were to play at speed 3 or 4 you would miss less important pop-ups/warnings and be able to read tooltips to learn what things are doing.
It's a game he plays for fun, who cares, if you want to watch someone mix/max everything with spreadsheets, go watch generalist gaming, he turns a game from fun, into an office job.
Just lower video playback speed dude
@@Lucas-gt8en I'm assuming that they are saying quill is missing actual gameplay elements himself. Not that we cant pause and read things.
@@Lucas-gt8en it's not that the video moves too fast, it's that quill has failed to notice important things repeatedly throughout the playthrough.
Yeah, as others just pointed out the issue is Quill is missing things. Missing things here and there is fine, but this series has been constant.
The station HQ is really unreliable and keeps resetting yes. There might be a hidden home base HQ function that you either can't change or is hidden somewhere in a sub-sub-sub-etc-menu somewhere in the UI.
Armies and fleets have a little house-shaped button on the top left that allows you to change the home HQ, so they'll reset to that HQ instead. I don't think you can change it during war, however.
