Using the same straight edge (or one with the same thickness) is key. Also, it DOES matter which line has the bleeder - it should be the one that exits the HRB at the highest point, so that the air can rise from that port in the HRB out to the bleeder.

Do we subtract for the straight edge thickness since we’re dealing with thousands of an inch?? 🤔

Yes we recommend that you zero your calipers after the thickness of your straight edge.
