Icelandair Boeing 757-300 Bouncy Landing & Hard Braking at Manchester Airport!

- Was at MAN from 8 till 11 this morning, and to my surprise it actually provided a lot of nice movements in a relatively short period of time, the weather was ridiculous, winds were out of the west with maximum gusting of 29 knots, heavy rain, hail, snow and low cloud. This was probably my highlight, standing out for a number of reasons. First off, it's Icelandair's only -300 variant of the 757, it was my first time seeing it, it looked incredible as it touched down on 23R and to cap it off there was some fantastic spray action, so enjoy TF-FIX landing (albeit at least twice) on 23R!

Pilot to tower quote ' when did you put in those speed bumps' they weren't here last time I flew in. Cabin crew to passengers 'please check your fillings before disembarking and collect your false teeth from the front of the cabin. Great video.

Still cannot believe they stopped building this aircraft. Suppose Boeing cannot do much to it like they have with the 737. Loved flying on the 757, flown on it many times with air 2000, Britannia, Flying Colours and Monarch. One of the nicest looking aircraft around along with those Rolls Royce RB211's.
It's really a shame, one of my favourite aircraft, will be sad to see them go!!

This is actually a very nice landing if you think about it. There was a lot of wind and you could se that on the wings as the aircraft goes down. All in all a very good landing and well done by the pilot flying

Isnt it risky to hard braking on wet runway. It can be cause aquaplaning.
Well yes but on a runway like this you'd likely need a lot more surface water to run the risk

ive worked on that plane before and it looks like the pilot really wanted to take that taxiway lol.... shorter taxi to teh gate so he can use the bathroom! lol ever wonder why inbound planes taxi quickly to the gate? Thats probley why! LMAO
