- The famous Boeing 757 also nicknamed “the Pencil” referring to its long narrow shaped body as a pencil is seen here in a collection of Boeing 757 aircraft landing or taking off. The Boeing 757-200 and the longer 757-300 variant are showed here. As well as the 757-200 passenger version converted in to a cargo version. Enjoy!

The Boeing 757 is powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 or Pratt & Whitney PW2000 turbofan engines for a 255,000-273,000 lb (116-124 t) MTOW.
It was produced in two fuselage lengths: the 47.3m (155 ft) long 757-200 (the most popular with 913 built) typically seats 200 passengers in two classes over 7,250 km/3,915 nmi. While the 54.4m (178 ft) long 757-300 typically seats 243 over 6,295 km (3,400 nmi). The 757-200F can carry a 32,755 kg (72,210 lb) payload over 5,435 km (2,935 nmi). Passenger 757-200s have been modified for cargo use as the Special Freighter (SF) and the Precision Converted Freighter (PCF).
Unfortunately the passenger version of the Boeing 757 is becoming more and more rare. Boeing stopped producing the aircraft in 2004 and the remaining aircraft are reaching their end of life as they reach +20 years old. Also it not as fuel efficient as modern aircraft like the Airbus A320/A321Neo. Combined with the pandemic, airlines are phasing these wonderful aircraft out of their fleets. The first 757-200 made its maiden flight on 19 February 1982. The Boeing 757 was one of the first Boeing aircraft to feature the “glass cockpit. The Boeing 757 is mainly used to fly mid-range domestic routes. But when the 757 was ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards) certified back in 1986 it was used to fly intercontinental routes. Winglets where fitted to reduce the drag on the wings and save fuel(costs).
Private and government operators have customized the 757 as VIP carriers such as the US C-32 (also known as Airforce 2). As Boeing looks to restart the Boeing 757 production with newer engines or make an entirely new aircraft the Boeing 797 prototype, more and more Boeing 757s will be stored or be phased out by airlines. But luckily we still have the footage 😉

As a former Boeing B757 Pilot, I can still remember my early days flying on this remarkable Airplane. Yes, I really missed flying the Boeing B757. I often wondered why Boeing did not consider a B757 Neo.
The engineers and everyone else would have if corporate didn’t force them to pump out new planes
According to the latest news, the Boeing 797 will be a kind of B757neo, a new version with all the new technologies and still with the "pencil" design, to compete with the A321
@@daniro4979 theres no such thing as a 797, trust me, its just all pro boeing people saying that, theyre working on next gen aircraft and the 777x
@@theghostoftravel I totally agree
They DID actually consider but you can't compare 500-700 potential sales over 3k to 4k for 737s
How can you not LOVE this bird. What a beautiful beast. :)
The greatest aircraft. The 757 is my all time favourite
Absolutely the best looking narrow body passenger aircraft ever produced. Love Icelandair’s variety of liveries and Aer Lingus’ beautiful shamrock colors.
Yes , pure power..
BOEING 757 200 has best thrust/weight ratio of any airliner with exemption of now retired Concorde!
Boeing should bring out 757 - 700/800. Beautiful aircraft that is 1000 times better than the 320 family!
All the airframes are old or high houred it would be easier to build new ones
There's just something about the B757. Those long legs, slender bodies, and ample turbofans. Man oh man! 😉
Best Boeing plane ever made. Hope they make a updated version

I can't believe there isn't a big enough market for these birds where power and climb are critical. Noise abatement, short runways, high altitude locations, density altitude concerns in high heat etc. Everyone loved to fly on these back in the 80's and 90's. Smiles everywhere on takeoff. The 757 just has the ponies and feels solid and nimble like it belongs up there. Glad some of them are still out there.
Airlines are about profits. The 757 was too thirsty
Cheers
@@tomdavis3038 True… but a lot has changed with engine technology in 30 years to improve fuel economy while actually increasing thrust. Boeing screwed up by not carrying these forward instead of super-sizing the 737.
I sent over 7 years flying this beauty. Along with the DC-3 and the T-38, it's the aeronautical love of my life!
The 757 is really an amazing unique bird in the sky and it is one of the most popular Boeing aircraft ever build.
And one of the most uncomfortable cabins I have experienced on a 7 hour flight.
@@richardmichael59???
Many thanks to all of the plane spotters out there catching these beautiful birds!
Love these flying pencils! The sleekest plane in the sky.
Call her the flying pencil, droop snoot, slim princess or whatever you will a rose by any other name....
A dream compilation, fantastic video mate!!
Can't wait to see if Condor will fly again the 757-300, was a pleasure to watch them here at Madeira!!
Thanks for showing love to a very under appreciated airplane. Outstanding.
I'll never get sick of that pitch getting higher as it gets closer.
Takeoffs in 757s from John Wayne Airport in CA with its short runway are the best.
I’ve always been fascinated by the 757. It’s got a different look and performance as compared to all the other Boeings.
Reminds me of the four engine twins…DC 8 and 707’s.
The 757... an engine noise so distinct, you don't even need to lock eyes on it to know it's taking off.
It was, from the outset, so quiet than it could fly into John Wayne (Orange County LA) and Reagan Nat'l after curfew hours.
You should check out the, now retired, DSB ME diesel locomotives. They are the boeing 757 of locomotives in terms of engine sound, and the Taurus locomotives are also legendary, but that's just cause she sound is so funny.
What a plane and quite the speed demon. Recently flew from ORD to ATL, clocking 617 mph, with a 30 mph tailwind.
Finally the search is over for a video like this
Boeing Executive: We really got ourselves an amazing plane here. New Design, new tech, new new new! Everyone loves it! Let's ditch it and keep pushing the old 737.
Actually, former McDonnell-Douglas Executive turned Boeing Executive! 😉
Beautiful birds!!
Thank You PilotSander - You made a Best video of Boeing B-757/200&300 🤗🤗
Love 757s, always looked so sleek with her long legs landing gear, compared to the fat dumpy looking 737 👍 Back in the late 80s and 90s always flew on these out of Birmingham to Spanish and Greek Isles. Lovely memories.
Excellent job dude, boeing 757, best boeing plane
Those rolls buzzsaws just magic
Lovely light and colour in that video. Super.
An amazing plane with great sound.
Excellent compilation of the 757 big like 👍👏😍👌
The best flying machine ever! I note how even now some airlines cannot part with them - they are exceptional. Only wish Boeing had upgraded these instead of the dire (in my opinion only!) 737
She's a beauty.
Wat een prachtige liveries!! Super gefimd!
THE B757W-231 DELTA WITH SKY TEAM LIVERY IS A BEAUTY! AND THE ENGINES TYPE SOUND IS SO SWEET! THANKS. GREAT FOOTAGE.
Just amazing
My boss and I were going to CA from IAD years ago on business and got the chance to jump seat on a 757 once on airline business. It was a treat I will never forget and privilege. Won't say the airline promised I wouldn't.
Nice Compilation My Friend
nice video mate
I LOVE the 757!
Breathtaking compilation!👍
The 757 is a beautiful airplane.👌
My fav is the Uzbekistan - 757.
What a beauty!🤩🤩🤩
Thank you for this wonderful and epic video!👍👏
Awesome seeing Dublin Airport in the 2nd clip
RB211 535 one of if not the best midsize turbofan engines ever built bombproof reliability.will be sad when there's no more of them
I like Roar of the 757
I remember flying on 757s out of Chicago Midway. When they lifted off I felt a sudden surge. You felt you were on a rocket. A sensation I have never felt on all the 737s and Airbuses I have flown. Also amazing that they could fly from a shorter runway airport like MIdway. I think I read somewhere that they have something called a supercritical wing.
I concur. After flying in a 757 then taking return trip on a 737-900, the 737 didn’t even seem like it wanted to get airborne. Then the climb was also less than enthusiastic. Definitely a difference in how much runway each used. Then again, I’m not a pilot so reduced thrust takeoffs could skew the observations.
Cheers
@@tomdavis3038 thanks for your comments
@@tomdavis3038 I have flown a huge number over the years (as a passenger) and they were a favourite of UK holiday airlines who used them to fly into small Greek Island airfields with short runways eg: Skiathos. Have also flown domestic UK with BA and transatlantic with Icelandair. What a brilliantly designed and engineered versatile aircraft. I cant help thinking that Boeing have now missed a trick.
Very good Video
Le plus américain des boieng ❤❤
15:50 cool 👍
What a lovely aircraft! ❤
Good job
Simplesmente fantástico
Roaaaaar good Sound 🎥
The 757 is just a rocket!
Great airplane!
some a little smokey , I like it !
Aer Lingus really SOLD out when they changed that GORGEOUS iconic shamrock livery to the generic and BLAND all white livery!
I flew on Finnair's 757 on two occations, between Helsinki-Vantaa and Atatürk, and between the former and El. Venizelos.
Excelente!!!!! LIKES!!!!!
El avión que más me gusta el Boing 757 300 espectacular
I'm flying on a 757 in March.
The muscle car of airliners
My second time viewing this video. Sadly, Icelandair has grounded their two special and gorgeous liveries for good.
The Aurora Borealis TF-FIU is flying again😁👍🏻
@@PilotSanderHD Really? Great news! Thanks for the info.
@@Primus54 Yes indeed! It’s now at Vancouver airport atm. 😁
@@PilotSanderHD Just prior to Covid, my daughter flew on it from Cleveland to Iceland. Sadly, Icelandair no longer has scheduled flights out of Cleveland (I live in Columbus). Would have loved to have flown on her!
@@Primus54 That would have been awesome indeed!
Lifting More than 90 tons in the AIR in less than 50 seconds, seem hard to believe
I would love to shoot video of this!
B757 is a beautiful plane. Boeing did a big mistake that ended the B757. Bring back the B757, as B757-max series.
Pure 757 power! Pure JET POWER is what it takes to lift a 250,000 lb glider into the air and propel it at near sonic speeds!
My favorite jet...this and 787, but I'm biased (retired Boeing)
Make a video on B767-200&300ER Only
🔊🛫
Cool Video #Flugzeug cool CZcams 🛬🛫🛩✈🛬👍🏻
My Opinion is to remove all old Engines and replace them with GE-NX engines which are fuel efficient 😊 - Boeing should do for all old Engines of B767 & B777 also
That plane just looks like an athlete-- like a sprinter anxious to run.
Must be why Trump owns one….lol.
@@richardmichael59lol . . . 🤣😂
That united B757 must be very very heavy :D 01:09
Actually, United’s policy is ultra-low performance takeoffs on sufficiently long runways. It’s a real bummer as a flying enthusiast passenger.
Icelandair 757W-256 landing or take off at bridge?
@ 8:58 look how much rudder work this one is getting
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
La musique
Thingvellir livery - not Pingvellir. That's a Þ nota P 😆
The decision to kill Boeing's fine 757 was the stupidest idea McDonnell-Douglas ever made.
Adorable plane Idk why
This video is absolutely fantastic. 🙂😀👍✈️🛫🛬
