#Live #Planespotting #4k - Zábava
I was on that flight yesterday. It was a bit scary but felt that the crew and flight deck acted brilliantly. And even better, TUI managed to scramble another dreamliner and crew from Gatwick within 90 mins, the pilot that eventually flew us out was on annual leave and flew us out and returned straight away in the jump seat. Total respect to this travel company, you wouldn't get that with Ryanair that's for sure, so remember that cheap flights come at a cost.
Very pleased all was ok.. I agree both flight crew, tower, emergency & ground ops performed impeccably! Enjoy your trip 👍🏻
Did you land heavy or did they do a fuel dump,,,, thanks
@@andrewlidgett3521 in this case the crew wouldn’t have had time to dump fuel . Also due to the altitude it would have been un applicable 👍🏻
Have seen Ryanair forced to do an emergency landing and had another plane ready within 30 minutes so not necessarily the case.
Not that flying Ryanair to Punta Cana is an option anyway.
After going to Dominican with TUI over the New Year, I'd never book with them ever again.
The sort of thing that one doesn't want to see happen, but so pleased that everyone is safe. I have the utmost respect for airline pilots!! Thanks for sharing.
Mattcam did an amazing job commenting on this emergency. Hats off to the emergency crew and the atc for dealing with this so professionally
She must of been so heavy on landing, 12 hours of fuel and 300+ passengers, just goes to show how well these are built for the rare occasion issues occur.
Thank you so much for the footage. My daughter and Son-in-law were flying off on their honeymoon on that flight! Very shaken up but safe thank goodness.
What happened then, did they move the flight back a day or so?
Amazing wing flex on the Dreamliner landing with all that weight - great catch !
We are were on this flight. We ok,just 7 hours delayed but safe, thanks for the pilots!👍👍👍
I was on this flight too. Like others have said the TUI crew did a superb job under pressure and kept those on board updated. Subsequent emails from the company within hours of landing pointed us to compensation claims under EU regs. My claim was fully resolved within a week. I'm very impressed with how TUI handled the whole situation. Thank you also to you for taking and uploading the footage.
It is always good to see a prompt and professional emergency response even when, thankfully, it was only precautionary. Great work and coverage from Matt there as always.
Yeah even if a tyre blows (usually because of the brake heat I'd assume, is why reverse thrust is used for the most part as well as there's temp senors as well as I believe pressure ones I forget exactly) they'll get the fire engine(s), there's usually at least one just as a precaution.
When a brake gets hot it can at least sometimes heat up the tyre and cause the air to expand blowing the tyre up, as the brakes arent used when its reversing its to reduce the risk of that happening not to shorten the distance the plane goes down the runway on landing.
The autobrakes do work even at max reverse thrust just not as much
Very tactful professional coverage of the situation as it unfolded and thanks to the man above all's well that ends well.
Missed your show today Matty as was visiting Rel’s. Great capture and you handled it so professionally. Respect to you and all involved in the safe landing of this plane👏👏
Glad you caught this. I was wondering what the issue was. Also noticed a Ryanair, EasyJet and Virgin Atlantic aircraft that landed and held at the end of 23L while the tower dealt with departures that had been kept waiting while the inbound traffic was redirected to land on 23L. Can't say I've seen that happen at Manchester before. They seem to have handled it flawlessly.
Matt's a pro! I was already so impressed by him doing a multi-cam stream with commentary all by himself. And now this emergency out of the blue, and he never lost his cool.
Celebration in how safe air travel is and how well they respond to an emergency, the response was brilliant.
Thank you for that sharing with all of us, Matt
Great job Matt. Watched it live on the show. Love Airliners live. Great community. Professional vlogs. Well done also to TUI and Manchester ground crew
Brilliant job from Matt today on this show. Absolute quality.
Great to see all is good and safe...all procedures executed perfectly, great footage guys thanks.
Landed safety, training plans executed as required , a good outcome 👍✈️💙
Thanks for posting!
great coverage matt thank you
Awesome Matt, great coverage
Well done Matt. Glad all are safe thats the main thing 😊 well done to the pilots!
Great job reporting, Matt
Thank you Matt!
Thank you for the report and congrats to the pilots for an amazing landing especially knowing it was not supposed to land with such a weight.
Brilliant footage love the snow it's been a while due to a mad schedule
Fantastic show matt as always
great coverage thanks
Watched it live, great coverage.👍😎
Nice catch 👍🏻 I have 7700 squawk alerts set up on Flight Radar 24, and watched this flight return after it pinged.
Same.
Good call by the crew, everyone safe and hope they managed to get out eventually!
Well done glad everyone is ok and nicely filmed 🙏👏👏
Excellent coverage keep up great work
Great edit of your live coverage 👍
Great footage
Well done Matt, MAN Airport at it's best. Amazing show today, still watching it now! ❤
Did a fab job on streaming. We got to watch and hear the live. Info provided was great. I can't watch the type that scream and shout or those with 5 camera angles. Even as this drama 👆 unfolded it wasn't talk for sake of it. Top job! 👍
I appreciate that. Thank you 🤝🏻
Agree. Top job. Love Airliners Live.
That decel on the runway with all of that fuel on board, yeesh reversers out for almost 40 seconds, thats a big bird. Glad everyone made it back safely.
Thanks Matt!
So glad everyone was ok
Same must've been a shock
Well done Matt
I caught the 787 live when it was landing on flightradar24
Lovely commentary - factual, calm, to the point. Not dramatised. Nice channel, you have my subscription 👍
Welcome aboard!
Great job, guys!
Thank you for the footage Matt, must have been a terrible experience for the passengers. Hope everyone inside and the aircraft itself are good 👍🏼
It took off, turned round and landed again. How is that a terrible experience? Get a grip…
@@leighriley424 ok so a smoke filled cabin and a return back to your original destination after takeoff wouldn’t spook you? Sorry tough guy
My parents were on this flight 🙈 So glad every one is safe
Mine were too
Hope everyone was ok nice bit of commentary mate
Great Video with excellent Information provided.
Thank you very much for sharing! 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it thanks
Watched ex Boeing employees yesterday in front of the Senate describing how the 777 construction cut corners to be more profitable.
Whistleblower
Even the 787 fuselage has been built wrong for using the wrong materials someone said the 787 fuselage will break apart due to using the wrong materials to meet deadlines who use to work for Boeing and quality control is very poor standards

THANK YOU really interesting
Im currently in Punta Cana waiting for this plane 😢
Hello.. I believe they are currently sending a replacement aircraft from Gatwick 👍🏻
Just shows no matter how much maintenance something can go wrong in such complicated airvraft, good thing we have such dedicated ground staff.
Way to go.
Well done explaining this, subscribe well earned. Thanks
Welcome aboard! Thanks Kevin
Any report about the reason for the smoke?
Wow all hands to the pump great one to all concerned
Bravo 💯💯🔥🔥
Professionally dealt with 👏, impressive response
Hi matt amazing footage my friend 😮😊
Thanks Andrew, very much appreciated, just glad all was ok.. very well handled by all concerned 👍🏻
I was tracking this plane in flight radar
Well done Matt and well done to that TUI crew bringing that aircraft back with a full fuel load
Great catch. Does anyone know if they replaced the aircraft or did it go out again and how much delayed
A replacement aircraft has/is being sent from Gatwick I believe 👍🏻
Why do they stop on the runway and cause major problems for other aircraft when they could easily just turn onto a taxiway? If there's no actual fire in the cockpit or cabin I just don't understand this procedure of stopping on a live runway.
Cpt’ Mark explained during the live show.. that the reason for this is simply because of room around the aircraft for the emergency appliances to operate/inspect etc
Well done Matt!
saw it take off from my school.
All that spray kicked up on landing would help keeping the brakes from over heating.
Has TUI said what the issue was?
With Boeing having a rough time at the minute with regards to maintenance and build quality I'd like to know.
As a Propulsion Engineer this is not something new in aviation. Usually caused by an engine with oil system issues.
Similar incident recently LAX-HKG with landing in SFO on a United Dreamliner . 🤔
Dreamliner 787 my fabret
Great work by the flight crew. Given the distance of the destination, did they not dump fuel to lighten the plan for landing?
They didn’t have time in the situation.👍🏻
@@mattsmith7301 Thanks Matt.
Great video Matt.Ambulance station I was at got call to Airport at least once a month. Was being on duty when the1985 disaster happend
Lindo demais
Thanks for the video. I am abroad and we were waiting for the aircraft to come home and looks like will be delayed now
A replacement aircraft has/is being sent from Gatwick I believe 👍🏻
25k views but only 1k 'Likes' wtf !
Don't forget to press it 👍
@@AirlinersLive Don't worry, I'm not a hypocrite, would of pressed it a hundred times if I could 😄 It's not often anyone gets to see something like that, so well done you, great camera work too.
The whistleblower’s thoughts have finally come to life after testifying in court. He did say that all 787s 777s should be grounded and should be examined 😢😢😢
Matt you did an amazing job with this
Thought fire service would have there quicker?
Dependant on circumstances.. plus appliances would have been in full communication with the flight deck 👍🏻
Nightmare start to a holiday 🤷🏾
Was it water on the runway or smoke from the plane?
Water
I was on this plane home on Monday it had duck tape on the wing
It's called speed tape. Don't worry it's not holding anything together
Thank you to the leadership over at Boeing for providing the world with a plentiful supply of shoddy built airplanes passengers can't trust to get them to their destination safely. I'm sure this will do nothing to ease the madness we see regularly at major airports now. It can only make flying more an adventure and a gamble for those who do a lot of it. What a comfort...
....was only reading yesterday that whistleblowers of company been reporting literally Dreamliner is a liability...oh dear, but great that everyone safe.....
Yo
Allegedly!!!!! If the crew says there is smoke ! There is smoke
We didn't have a scanner on. We were told that the Pilots said there was smoke. So that's why we used allegedly
TUI planes look so scruffy. Been advised they are bad inside too. I sure wouldn’t fly with them . Been worst charter airline 2 years running . But then wouldn’t book a TUI holiday either . But glad this flight turned out ok
this gets me scared for my trip to orlando from manchester in october it better not happen on our 787-800 and i be recording
It's a Boeing. Makes a change from bits falling off.
Smoke in Cockpit or Pilots Smoking in Cockpit?
I feel at this point that all Boeings need to be grounded until further notice, but happy the big bird landed safely and everyone on board is safe
After listening to a Boeing whistle blower and other recent incidents with Boeing planes I wouldn't want to even get on board...
things not going well for Boeing
It’s a Boeing aircraft. No surprises there.
If its Boeing it ain't going airbus for me
NOE
My wife asks is this the long awaited sequel nobody asked for to Snakes on a plane? Vapes on a plane?
another Boeing incident 🤦♂🤦♂
Oh look Boeing 787 with smoke in the cock pit these dream liners arnt going to last with the poor standards at Boeing. I'm glad every one is safe Boeing should have all their aviation certificates taken away they as a corporate business are not fit to be in the aviation industry
Matt
Great coverage
