July 2023 Volunteer Weekend: Brush Train at the

This is the first of a few videos that I took while visiting the Mill Brook Railroad recently.

This train is a 7 1/4" gauged train, running on the MBR's 7 1/2" gauge track. The locomotive was built at the MBR shops and the flat car is of our own construction, plus some off the shelf trucks and couplers.
Apologies for the video quality in advance. I had no idea it was so bumpy. Will be improving that for the next set of videos I record from the train.

What type of rails profile do you use?

Aaron’s track has 3 different profiles, one of the strongest ones being Culp rail. It’s similar to scaled down 115 RE

Leaf blower?

We did a pass with the leaf blower before raking; it didn’t make the cut in this video. A lot of sticks and leaves were in the stones so it was better to rake
