The Biden thing actually made me sad. He forgot. It happens to me too 😞. I was so used to bumping into people on the street that I would see someone that looked like them and get ready to say hi and suddenly remember that they're gone. When people die suddenly we sometimes forget. It took years for me to stop forgetting because to me they were supposed to be here now and then not being here made no sense. The fact that he called out for her and looked for her in the audience means for a moment to him she was alive, and then she died again. Those moments are painful. I won't hold it against him.
Can you imagine how many people he meets daily as president that he has to try and remember. Also, he must hear about tragedy daily. I'm lucky if I remember what happened yesterday.

I remember being on a bus and seeing a 4-year-old I knew(since he was a baby). He was saying bye bye to everyone and I wanted to say bye, Lucas! but I forgot his name. He was killed that night.

I'm a HQ Commander in the Army as a Captain, I have a ton of Soldiers in my formation, I have mixed up guys, once told the wrong guy their grandmother passed away on deployment, so many personal gaffes, I can't imagine the stress he is under. I honestly laughed so hard at that clip bc I have been there. At least he remembered someone who made a big difference, sad she passed, but not an age thing at all

I made a similar gaffe as Biden at a work meeting, confusing the names of a colleague in another department with one that had passed away. I was in my 20s, so not necessarily an age thing.
I'm sure being the POTUS includes remembering millions of names and people. Biden is only human, unlike trump who remembers the war of 1812 airports being shelled.

Pretty sure AP calculus is an American thing. While the grade is recognized in 60 other countries, no other countries actually take that exam. So basically he had the highest scores in America. Not the world.
I think they say "the world" for all the students taking the American exams (in American schools abroad)...but yeah, you're right. It's like the "World Series" of baseball...that includes Canada😱

The reason hurricane has name is for us to be able to differentiate them.. If there was 2 storm next to each other 1 heading to FL and the other to WA , it would be confusing to many to remember which one is heading their way without a name
I was hoping someone would point that out, thank you. And it helps people track the storm in a story-like fashion to aid warning efforts. Naming tropical cyclones has a purpose.
I always loosely wondered why they were named, especially since the names can be reused. So, thanks for that bit of information, it makes perfect sense! 👍🏽
Another thing I always wondered about was HOW they picked the names... Maybe I will do some research on that one. 😁
There's several set lists they go through every year, retiring names of Huge storms so they won't be reused. I don't think there will be another "Katrina." After they go through that years list, they start using the Greek alphabet. Hopefully we don't go through that too...I'm not sure what's next.

At one point you could look up what the available names for the next year would be (did a paper on this back in middle school). Also, the names are recycled, unless a particular storm is very catastrophic or record breaking. In those cases, the name is retired permanently.

I idioticly stayed behind and regretted it about 2 hours in. I've never experienced gusts at 180 but it was like being in a Tornado for 6 hours. The adrenaline was scary and my body doesn't know how to recover. We're gonna take a while to recover down here. Pls keep us laughing with FL comedy lol

While certainly true from a technical perspective, that allegation definitely ignores the fact that people outside the US might very well achieve the same result if they were given the opportunity.

My heart is going out to the people dealing with hurriane Ian right now because I've been through several hurricanes and remember the going without electricity for two weeks or clean water, living on rations, and dealing with damage to your home.

Don't worry Floridians will tell you all the time you can still just how bad the hurricane is going to be based on the amount of waffle houses that are closed and there's only like 27 or 28 that are closed so it's not that big of a deal

I'm American and I've never understood the whole World Series thing. If we don't play anyone outside the States, why is it even allowed to be called World anything?

Us: you know there are continents outside Europe and your home country,right? Why not just call it your USA and some cities in Europe tour.
