I kept playing it over and over again. He even laughs at himself after that one.
Making it hard for the IRS to conduct audits is only to help the rich avoid paying taxes because their schemes not to pay taxes are complicated so it needs man power to expose them. So to get taxe money the IRS has no other choice but to go after easier targets : small businesses, middle class and the poor.
They will send the irs agents on fools errands

The GOP also makes a huge fuss over the national debt whenever the Democrats try to pass any new laws, but then wants to undo the first major move to actually bring in more tax revenue to reduce the debt. 🤦🏻♀️

@@elke7978 when you don't have the manpower you go for the easy target that requires the minimum of work, you don't put many agents on an investigation that might take years and not bring a dime during that period. In my country they say there are not enough traffic cops, the main thing they do is put speed traps, usually on long straight roads because it's easy and fast, trying to get moving violation is harder and bring in less revenue, so now you get more people respecting the speed limit but other incivilities have skyrocketed as they go unpunished.

I've been in several studio audiences. There's a director that tells the audience when to cheer, and if they don't like the sound clip, they also record several sound bites before the show starts recording.
Any politicians that introduce tax cuts for the rich should tell you who they serve. Tax cuts bills are never for the middle class or small business when you look into the details. Worst are the simps for rich. these low lives are even worst then tax dodges

Well in a sense it doesn't.. because the rich contribute to society in more ways than just paying taxes... they create jobs, they create useful tools to make life easier, and they also create the tools that make life longer.. an decrease in taxes allows for more money towards innovation and pay increases to the bottom line

Not to mention, the 87,000 jobs is over 10 years, to make up for normal attrition (retirements, etc.) as well as to get IRS staffing back to their 'normal' level, AND that not all of the positions are auditors/agents, it includes IT, admin staff, and so on. But the GQP base is too simple and distracted for any details, anything more than a three word slogan is beyond their attention span...

By those "87,000 IRS employees" who he is threatening to fire, he only means the 87,000 jobs created by the Inflation Reduction Act. More importantly, their mandate, in accordance with one of the legal powers of the act, was to collect a 15% tax from top corporations that make over $1 Billion USD per year; to collect a 1% excise tax on corporate share buybacks; to promote tax cuts on renewable energy investments for both corporations and consumers.

I don't understand this recurrent interest in getting rid of the IRS. I mean the IRS is there to administer and enforce US federal _tax_ laws. The only reason they would "come after you" is if you have violated a _tax_ law. Getting rid of them, or _eroding_ them is basically a declaration that you're not too fond of living in a country with a _financial_ system.
Now let me point out, there's only _one_ country in the world that _doesn't_ have a financial system, but I'm not aware of _any_ place in the world where people are lining up to go experience those halcyon conditions they surely must be experiencing in Somalia.
War vet here, and for anyone who doesn't know, every military veteran has a DD214 form which will specifically state whether or not they were deployed and it also has other info like their rank and all the medals they've earned. So _claiming_ you've been deployed during war, but not being able to prove it is an asinine move.
Politicians know exactly what they are doing; they are working for the people who line their pockets. Less IRS agents mean that tax cheats who are billionaires and millionaires are more likely to get away with it. We take the fall for them since the rest of us take less resources to catch.
Successful people don't become that way overnight. most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life, 🙏🙏🙏
