- Walt Heyer and Kathy Grace Duncan share their transgender journeys - Walt lived as a woman for 8 years, Kathy Grace lived as a man for 11 years.
Walt describes how his sexual identity confusion began very early due to a grandmother who made him a purple evening dress plus sexual abuse from a family member. Walt began identifying as a woman as a way to be safe and affirmed.
Kathy Grace observed how her father abused her mother, and decided she’d rather be a man; worthy and strong, rather than weak like her mother. She started living a double-identity life before Kindergarten.
Walt and KathyGrace describe how God began to intervene in their lives, and how pastors and churches offered them help to transition back to their biological sex. Both Walt and KathyGrace share powerful transformational stories about how God healed them. They also discuss how normalizing and affirming people who experience gender confusion ignores the underlying wounds and disorders they are experiencing.

Let’s not fool ourselves and think this is not a topic for the young. Kids in public elementary school hear about this all the time. We need to talk about this in our families.
And in our churches.
People do not realize that the radio waves the temp guns are unzipping our DNA expressions.

Why would anyone send their young child to a place to be exposed to this?! We are parents... We are to protect our young ones, and as they grow, use experiences in the world to teach them, but I would never take my child to a bar to explain to them alcoholism, nor would I send them to a pagan institution to learn about evolution and transgenderism. Talking to our children even an hour a day about it cannot combat the 8 hours of influence a day they have with our children.
I agree with them... This is not a topic for young innocent minds, nor would I want to expose my child to it. As they grow and I have trained them in the Lord, I will teach and they will already know it is evil.

We had a client who started investigating the life of transgenders , getting on social
Media- meeting people who felt different, like him . He had been rejected by his mother , his and his father’s maleness criticized on a constant basis - where the girl’s were more accepted - though mom was probably abusive to them in different ways. He began to try on women’s clothing, experimenting with makeup , searched for female hormones ... Eventually he was counseled concerning this belief that women were better than men- that if he was a woman maybe his mother would have treated him differently , and maybe if he becomes one , she will finally accept and love him. Long story short- he was very hurt , felt like no one would ever really love him, desire his company, and accept him for who he is . Today he is married and looking forward to having a child. He is fully male and married to a woman.

I once sat on an airplane for 4 hours next to a transgender individual and this person confessed to me that his father sexually abused him for 15 years and he felt it caused him to be the way he was. After our literally 4 hour conversation "he" made a decision to behave and accept that he would behave as a female. Which is how "he" was born. I was so taken back I almost couldn't believe it! It was actually a wonderful experience- a real learning experience for me. This was a biological female. I think that I influenced the decision.

Kids need to know this. My Grandson's teacher told the class that if they didn't like their gender that they can change it . He came home confused and we had to explain it to him. He was very upset about it, he was just 9 yrs old when this happened just a yr ago

@@jazzstylin666 I think I get it. I just thought that the stories of their childhoods were interesting. I was certainly watching, listening carefully for any influencing. I am not saying all LGTBQ need to think the same, but to hear them say that changing physically did not change who they were was interesting. I was mistaken for a boy as a child because my hair was thin and short. It bothered me, but I knew who I was. Of course, as I got older, I could grow my hair long, problem solved. Not the same for transgens. Was just interesting.

We have an 11 yr old that is transitioning from a boy to a girl. Hearing the perspective of the affirmation of “what’s wrong with Walt” I see where I have failed. Going along with the acceptance of the beautiful pink dress for Christmas was unintentionally saying this is so perfect. And what he heard was you’re not perfect as a boy-this dress makes you the perfect girl. And I know it wasn’t one person and one incident. But as a family we’ve all done the wrong thing for what we believed to be the right reasons. Thank you for having these amazing guests. Your opinions are powerful. Such strength and courage. ♥️

Thank you for addressing this topic. I’m the mother of an adult child who identifies as transgender. As a mother, I have offered love and emotional support. I feel it is important not to create a divide in our relationship because my goal is to draw them to Christ. It’s definitely walking a tightrope between affirmation of sin and modeling Christ’s love. Unsure what is right but doing my best.
Mine is 17. Same. She wants me to affirm my helping her get physical medical help, but I see it as a superficial fix for an inner challenge. She is not physically disabled nor born with deformities but she wants me to help her as if she was ❤️ this just feels so much like a spiritual battle
@@askseeknock7 It’s so hard to be a woman. People associate strength and confidence with being a man often or even freedom. I can see why they might feel that way, but I wish they could see some strong women that choose their own way and are confident. I’m a female mechanic but I didn’t do it until I was 35 because I thought it was just something men did. I really want to go out and talk to young girls and show them they can do things that are considered masculine and still be a woman (and even a feminine one at that).

I’ve only watched 10 min and I am already crying. The concept that Kathy and Walt shared of having one’s identity so abused and marred that you will do anything to escape it breaks my heart. It also angers me, that the devil attacks the soul of a child or adult in this way. Lord help me be an instrument of love and healing to others and help those whom the enemy has tried to destroy. Let the love of Christ reign! Let the people of Christ rise up in true power and anointing from the Lord to be used in Jesus’s work of reconciliation and redemption.
Thank you so much, all of you, for being so open and willing to share and talk about. As a 76-year-old Christian, I have rejected homosexual and related situations as just being immoral, but until; today I never understood the pain and brokenness that can lead up to such a strong desire to change genders. This gives me a lot of understanding and compassion for the many people who have lived through these terrible experiences. When my nephew was just three or four years old, his parents took him to a psychiatrist because he apparently exhibited behavior that was very girlish. H eventually became a very feminine personality and behavior and is now part of the homosexual community in Mexico City. I have no idea why this happened to him, but your presentation has given me a better understanding. Thhankyou from the bottom of my heart.
I love the wisdom Walt states at the end. Jesus wants all of us, not just our sexuality. So TRUE! This is a daily struggle for anyone. I am watching this in 2023 and boy this was so touching. These 2 part series realy gave me a different perspective on what these people went through. Even the comments are so heart breaking and boils down to 1 thing that everyone of us want to be accepted and loved and Satan comes and steal from us and plant these ideas in us that we have to do all these weird things to be accepted. Thank you so much for this open and honest interview. I pray that people's hearts will be touched in such a way so they can feel God's Love for them in the mids of all their pain.

In the beginning of this video it is was stated that "This video is not for young viewers"... With all due respect and concern, I say that this is the BIGGEST problem with the church right now. Young people are finding out about this topic from the world first and from the church second after they have already formed an opinion or even a lifestyle based on what the world taught them. We don't need to wait to talk to youth about this. In fact, they, more than anyone, need to hear this and they need to hear it FIRST from people like the man and women in this video who were set free through God's Love. We have to wake up as the church and give children TRUE information on all topics NOW, because the world is and they are not waiting at all.

I really miss waking up daily at 6:00 am with words from “Focus on the family” on my radio. It was a great start to my mornings.
Wearing a purple dress did not cause your uncle to abuse you. Getting abused was not your fault and was not your affirming grandmother's fault. The abuse was the uncle's fault and the uncles fault alone.
But it's his story and my opinion is that wearing the purple dress put him on his uncle's radar...made him a target. The uncle had issues for sure....but people who are sick, as the uncle was, do not victimize people with a secure reality. The purple dress was the target.

I've been 'trans' for 50+ years. I've never been in a woman's space and never will. What’s happened to me is that I’ve matured and ceased to pretend that I am something that I never was.

I am a Christian woman and it Makes me sooo sad and shocked to hear from the hosts that others would think that they aren’t the “real deal” 😢😢they are making themselves sooo vulnerable by sharing their stories!! at the moment when they both shared about the horrific abuse they received at a young age from the very people who are supposed to be their protectors, the hosts didn’t bat an eye and it was as if they were talking about the weather… children right now are experiencing this same abuse and needing to be rescued even among Christian families -my own husband ( now my ex) after 34 years was unfaithful to me all the while pretending to be a Christian and continues to fake the fruits of the spirit

Many years ago I knew a woman who had 3 small boys with a married man and wouldn’t end the relationship. This woman wanted a girl so once a month she would dress her youngest 2 year old son as a little girl and call him Chrissy for a full 24 hours. She was a head case. The little boy hated this , the woman thought it was funny and cute, and said this was the only way she could have a little girl. I told her she was crazy as a loon but she wouldn’t stop. I was 19 at the time. I know this went on probably until the child was old enough to do something else, I’m sure it caused him a lifetime of mental suffering. How can people do such things to their children.?
6:42 Wow, this question is so timely and apply to a wide variety of emotional challenges: “What happened that caused you not to like who you are?” This is the question nobody is asking. We are afraid to ask. But it’s the root of almost all emotional issues one can experience. I’m thinking about drug abuse, gambling, low self esteem, you name it.

Yeah, quite un loving. I think I might have sat down with Walt when he had time and try to learn. Then I would have shared with Walt where the congregation was on the topic. There is no reason he couldn't try to broker this opportunity for learning experience for everone. No guarantee but it would have been heard ans seeds planted.
This used to be the prevailing opinion in straight laced conservative christians. It wasn't ever brought up because this was the expected response.

I watched ("Caitlyn Jenner's Moving Speech at the ESPY Awards | Nightline | ABC News") while I was fighting for my life against breast cancer..which mutilated my female body, and I just cried when this person was praised for their bravery..My family members were sickened by this too. Weird world we live in. I now feel sad and moved to pray for these people who are not only being affirmed by friends and family but by the whole world! It's gonna take a real encounter with Jesus to be able to see past the lies the enemy is telling them through societal norms.
This has been to long, we have needed these conversations for so long. thank you focus on family and Walt and Kathy grace please keep on doing these.

The issue could be described as biblical Shame which is a total loss of my Identity. Guilt is a sense I have broken God’s Law but Shame is a lack of Identity as God’s child.
Please help pray for a family in my church, that has a young daughter that have changed name and identifies as a boy. That she will, by her self, find what she really is in christ.

Just introducing these beautiful people made my hair stand up. They'll save many people through Christ Jesus!!! Amen!!! I want to learn about this and how to deal with people who deal with this. I want to show love and compassion and bring them to Christ yet not sin.
I enjoyed the peaceful and professional conversation that these loving people had. Our youth is suffering right now and it is our fault. We hand them a weapon to harm themselves when we bought them a cell phone with access to all kind of information.

I work in Healthcare and this changing of gender so negatively affects a person. I had a member that was telling me that he needed to be taken to the crisis line after speaking with him I found out he was taking female hormones and he needed to get antidepressants. So much in our society is causing identity issues and causing many children /youth with depression.

Thank you, I have a daughter that’s married to a woman and it’s really difficult but I can see a glimpse of why she’s made these decisions. I have another daughter that also leans in that direction I especially paid attention to the purple dress story 😟... she would always cry for boy toys and I would cave in sometimes and buy them for her 😞..wow I will continue to pray for them 🙏🏼 ....My other 2 daughters have boys and I’ll be sure and remember these stories for my grandchildren I’m passing this video to them.
Joni Mench, your buying toys for her was not wrong. I hated playing with dolls and being inside. I remember one afternoon I was invited to play with a little girl in our neighborhood and I also remember that all afternoon, I felt so frustrated that I had to be nice and I couldn’t be running around with my brothers. Girls that want to do outdoor things and play with tools and explore need to know they are girls who like these other activities.
Don’t blame yourself for buying her toys she enjoyed. Do pray for her every day and if she is open, share this or other videos. But most of all, love her and ask for wisdom from the Holy Spirit.

Which is why Christian families must teach their children the TRUTH about this issue Before they can be brainwashed at public schools about what is"moral".
Train up a child in the way they should go, and then they get older they will not depart from it. This is a promise from the LORD.
It is a Huge responsibility to train up a child. Parents must invest time in their kids, not just have them be entertained and go to school to learn the things of the world. If you teach them Early enough they will reject the teachings of the world.

I am into kpop it is RAMPANT in the community to be part of these confused people, akin to being emo. Except if no one tells them to stop and its normalised it's only a spiral down. The only way is Jesus. Parents MUST know what their kids are watching and being influenced by to correct them.
@@kristinamartz348 Yes, that is a process that must happen with parents but as parents that loved our daughter and taught her the truth and she lived it, once she was out on her own the influences of "affirming christian" peers and pastors led her astray. We need youth leaders and pastors as well to wake up and support what parents are doing. That deceptive spirit has infiltrated the churches and many are weak and have thrown in with the message that they are more "loving". Read 2 Cor 11 and Paul spells out the "different gospel, different Jesus, and different king of spirit" believers can fall prey to.
