- Becket Cook had fully embraced a flashy lifestyle-enjoying lavish parties with celebrities, working on photo shoots that took him around the world…and dating men.
Yet he felt empty inside. Until he came across a Bible study group at his local coffeehouse.
When they invited him to church, he was stunned, but he accepted. He had a radical encounter with God, and in that moment, Becket knew his life would never be the same. He has chosen God’s love over a life of sin and encourages others to do the same.

What a cool guy Becket is, I've listened to his testimony a dozen times and it never gets stale, so happy for him.
That 19:30 "about 30 seconds later, all of a sudden the Holy Spirit just - WWWKKKKHHH! - like, floods me", that's like what happened to me about 18 years ago, only it was more like 20 seconds.
Hearing Becket's story lets me re-live that glorious night, over and over. In my case it was my SDA friends in Pomona who had been praying for me for 10 years that I attribute it to. And it was probably my mother's many many rosaries over the years that led me to meet those SDA friends. Thanks Mum, thanks Grey, Nita, Yana, and Rowan.

While the celebration of the work of Christ is important in any life, it is also important to relay the struggles of SSA that can persist along with how to work through it. It’s not all glory, sometimes it is carrying the cross and denying the flesh. So it’s important not to glamorize the “it’s fixed” side of things. Blessings.

It's awesome to see what a true conversion out of homosexuality looks like. This is what the power of the gospel does. It transforms a life.
Thank you Becket for telling everyone that although we may have inclinations or temptations toward a particular sin, we do not have to give in, we can deny the flesh to follow after Jesus. This applies not only to homosexuality, but any sin in which our flesh desires. It's ok to live a life by the spirit rather than the flesh. Jesus is worth it, He is far beyond anything this world has to offer.

I love Becket! His story brings me to tears.... every time I hear it. But I cringed when it was compared to gossiping. I bet many homosexuals wish they just had a gossiping issue to battle. What a difficult sin to battle in this world of total acceptance. That statement that I hear so often trivializes their struggle in a world where marriage and kids is most often the goal (for now) and singleness is treated as a "what's wrong with you" problem.
