Summary: The internet challenged Mr. Beast to plant 20 million trees. That is a really hard thing to do. So we banded together all our CZcams friends and started #teamtrees. Two years later I'd love to see an update about the status of this project and how many trees have actually been planted now that they're almost to 22M.
They only planted like 12 million, it takes time.
also how many of the trees actually still grow and how many may have been eaten by deer or been damaged by bad weather etc...

@@Ugly_German_Truths Folks who do this kind of work know the failure rates and best practices in survivability. Certainly not all survive, but they intentionally plant more than necessary to account for those that don't survive so that the outcome is a healthy ecosystem at that specific site even with the loss.

Mark, thank you. Your take on explaining this helps so many. Everything that humans do produces heat. Yet I would often refer to those past temperature cycles (ice ages), half defending that the heating was natural. We've been on the tale end of a heating cycle for 5k years. I was totally unaware of the carbon spike. That will be horrific if continued. Massive props for your communication and ways to explain real issues. Learn everyday!

I planted 700 to 800 pine trees a day 6 days of the week for a couple years back in my younger days, the physical strength to do so would deny any drone or bot from ever achieving the same! Let alone the terrain of the hills.
The cultivation process as well as the positive up pull to point the roots down preventing the tree falling in strong wind is extremely important!
Drones can't do all that plus do it every 10- 20 seconds because they can't carry 100 trees at a time!
But least you don't have to pay drones!
