Just did this job last night it's a piece of cake! Just remove the motor mount, it's easy!!! Use a crescent wrench to remove the 24mm drain plug instead of buying an expensive socket. I put a jack under the oil pan but it didn't even feel like it was doing anything, the motor is not going to fall on you! Use a funnel amd hose combo and fill er up until she pukes. Check the level. You're done!
this really has to be one of the worst design choices I have ever seen....why would you hide that dipstick like that? Does no one ever feel a need to check the level? It wouldnt be so bad if the had designed it in a way that you could still get a hand in there....
The fill hose is much bigger then port on trans. So, dumping fluid in fast will leak for sure. It helps to get hose that fits tight in fill port. And pour slowly.
The Chevy/ Pontiac engineers should be arrested for designing this!!!

Good idea pulling that mount. Not hard to do and makes dipstick access so much better.

what size hose is that and the socket sizes shows how to do it but doesn't say a word that will help at all
